I was an infant teacher for many years and on school trips always reminded the children before we left that other visitors to the zoo/museum wherever were there to see the attraction, not to listen to kids shouting. I was pleasantly surprised that this usually worked and they generally controlled their volume. I think it needs pointing out by the responsible adult. Problem is many adults now abdicate the responsibility.
