Good Morning Everyone,
Have woken up to blue skies and sunshine here in brackley this morning.
Today, apart from a small local shop , I have planned to get the bus to Bicester and relax.
Yesterday, a phone call as regards putting tube into my stomach etc , I suggested a date, and now find family members are unable to do as they like a family member with you for the 3 hours or so task.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. Yesterday, the grey day soon brightened up and I actually sat out in the garden with my afternoon coffee, something I'd not done since March.
Today various non-housework jobs around the house and some gardening, I'll be out to mow the front lawn shortly. Big job of the day is to watch the tennis, specifically, Cameron Norrie. I'm not hopeful but we'll see...
A new hospital appointment arrived for the one cancelled for Wednesday. I had guessed it would probably now be for September but it was late December! As I'm unlikely to be around, I had to re-arrange it for even later..late January. It was originally supposed to have been April. Thank goodness it's only a routine check.

I hope everyone has a pleasant day.

Good morning from North Yorkshire where there is unbroken blue sky.

I haven’t posted on here for a long time but I have been reading and following.
GM your money story prompted me to post. When DH was in his last days he took DD2 into his study and showed her a stash of cash. He explained it was so I always had fresh flowers in the house. Said flowers are always purchased although the cash ran dry. I seem to remember it came in very useful to pay the Registrar. GM treat yourself often.
Having tested positive last weekend I am staying home again and will enjoy the sunshine. Thoughts to all who are struggling and supporting family members ☀️☀️

Good morning Mick, morning all from slightly cloudy South Lanarkshire.

It was so good to see DS and family yesterday. We had a lovely hour in the park blowing bubbles and throwing a ball with the girls. The baby is delightful of course. I was completely done in but it was worth the drive.

Marydoll, I wish I had a magic good health wand to wave over you. flowers

I’ve an appointment at my consultant’s clinic this afternoon, I hope she’ll be pleased with my recovery.

Have the best day possible everyone. ??

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cloudy, grey and feeling much cooler in my corner of Lancashire.

We spent a wonderful day meandering around Wensleydale in the sunshine yesterday. Very little traffic, even when we drove into Hawes to buy lunch and a few treats. I see that I have much to catch up on, will read yesterdays and today’s threads later.

Hope today is a good day for us all.

Need to force myself to go into Bath to collect two resized rings - arthritis has done my hands no favours, but I want to be able to wear the rings which DH gave me rather than having them tucked away in a drawer. Otherwise the threatened heatwave will restrict me to watching the tennis in the cool.

What a frustrating time you are having, Marydoll. However much we love them having our young in the house is the reverse of restful especially when you are feeling so rotten. Hope today is better.

Good morning from USA where we are on holiday visiting one of our sons who is studying out here. Off to Minneapolis today for a couple of days. Later we will spend about 5 days in Chicago. It is very hot. Thinking of GMattie and Marydoll and others with problems. It is 3.30 am here! Must go back to sleep!

Good morning from a very sunny Durham. A strange week as I’ve a heavy Summer cold - all the symptoms of Covid, but testing negative, although I still cancelled all my meet-ups. The electrician was here on Monday, but worked outside and in the garage. Decorator due Saturday, so I’ve spent days emptying out 2 rooms and being ruthless about decluttering - I’m told DVDs and CDs are last century!
Taking DD2s dog home this morning - I’m having him a few days every week as Baby H is too little to understand to ‘leave the doggy alone’.
Need to call at an ATM later, but will need a rest later - this cold has floored me.
Best wishes for a good weekend for those who can. Take care gM and behave yourself MD
I hope Harri gets away and is able to enjoy a few days break. X

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Hope you find someone for your appointment Mick
I await the arrival of one DGS so have to get a move on! Yesterday had a lovely day in Carlisle with my friend. I bought a lovely tunic top and went and left it on the train!!!! Curses and curses!! Of course it has not been handed in to lost property. More curses!!!
Just to add to my misery I sent for new batteries for my Roomba. They eventually arrived from China, were difficult to fit in. Turned out to be the wrong batteries and I doubt if my machine will work again!!!
Hope both GrandMattie and Marydoll will have a good day today

Have the best day possible folks

Good morning everyone from a nice sunny NI
I thought I’d totally lost the plot this morning! All the doors were un locked , I’m nagged to bits about locking up now !
However it seems I’m not to blame , txt from neighbour (ie DD1) to apologise for unlocked doors and she will explain later !
Hmm better be good
Marydoll can you take the chance to dump some of the under the sink stuff ? Or maybe , unlike mine it’s all essential , I am , the put it in the box and look at it later , person !

Hi everyone, it brought back memories when you were talking about hiding money. My gran use to come and stay with two carry bags full of money, didn’t trust them banks. Take it easy Marydoll and have a couple of restful days. I was knocked off my bike Tuesday and spent Wednesday doing just nothing but resting as my body felt stiff and bruised but yesterday. We had a gentle ride into Cardiff on the Taff Trail so I didn’t lose my confidence for cycling. Had a lovely picnic in the Castle grounds. Today. I am going to pop into Clevedon hospital and just get an x ray on my knee as it is the one that had a replacement and it feels painful in certain movements and positions. It’s a lovely happy day

Kalu Fri 08-Jul-22 10:09:18

Good morning everyone from a grey, breezy Glasgow.

Such an uplifting visit with DH yesterday as he faces his new normal with such determination. I am full of admiration and pride at was he has achieved in such a short time. His team of medics are very pleased with his progress with thoughts he may be coming home tomorrow. ???

Have a pleasant Friday all.

Marydoll Fri 08-Jul-22 10:13:28

Aggie, I'm planning to do just that!
SIL appeared in my room after I posted, to tell me the washing machine had flooded the utility room and asked what to do! ?

The lovely man had put most of the washing out and all I found in the machine was my underwear. He was obviously too embarrassed!! grin

Marydoll Fri 08-Jul-22 10:14:09

Kalu, glad to hear your great news. Your DH has always seemed a lovely man.

hollysteers Fri 08-Jul-22 10:41:28

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
I cancelled art this morning as feeling overtired and have a run through with the ‘band’ this afternoon. Feel like staying home and recharging my batteries after a busy time tripping etc. Still need to frame a few paintings for an exhibition. Do wish I had more energy. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.
GM? and Kalu?.
Will read through later.

Good morning all,

It’s warming up here but at the moment it’s nice and cool in the lounge so I’m sitting in there. When the sun moves round, it will be like an oven despite closed blinds and the window open for now while the breeze is cool. I do like warm weather though, but not too hot and sticky. (We’re never satisfied, are we? ?).

A lazy day in store. I’ve done a few cleaning jobs before it gets too hot, but that’s it for today, and now my book beckons after a perusal of the forums..

I hope you’ll be able to find someone to accompany you to the hospital, Mick. As others suggest, perhaps a friend could go with you if family are unable to.

Wishing you a gentle day, grandMattie and you too, Marydoll.

Take care everyone.
