Do I like Pimms?

The Raj cocktail sounds interesting.
I like the M&S fresh mixer juices to add your own spirits to. The pineapple and coconut one is lovely. Just add as much rum as you fancy. I plan to try some of the others too.
PS I tried Aperol Spritz on holiday and thought it was awful
Maybe they'd added too much ice but it really wasn't nice.

It may not be the most economical but I like those cans of ready mixed Pimms, or Espresso Martini which are handy to keep in the fridge door and just right if a friend pops in or I feel like a cheeky bevvy. These are also often on a 4 for the price of 3 if you shop around.
Less chance for the lemonade to go flat and actually less temptation.

Love Pimm's but cannot stand Aperol. Give me a good ole Campari soda with obligatory orange slice and I'm back in Italy in a heartbeat.

All you Pimms fans, which ones do you like?
I remember some were nicer than others.

Just googled them and found there's only 3 of them now and mostly only the first (gin based) one.

I love Pimms on a hot day and so do my friends .
It's a gin based drink .
We like it with lots of ice , thinly sliced cucumber, oranges and strawberries .

And I make a gin and tonic -
adding lot of crushed ice and thinly sliced lemon and limes with the tonic .

Here's a recipe for punch from my Indian Raj born friend :

Make a huge pot of very strong tea .
Let it go stone cold .
In a huge bowl - add a carton of orange juice and / or tropical fruit juice , some ginger beer , a lot of rum and a mixture of fruit with ice .
I've made it with pineapple juice and pieces of pineapple .
Punch comes from the Hindi word for five , because it originally had five ingredients .

Talking of punch, I’ve still got a tea towel with a recipe for Caribbean rum punch on it.

One sour (lime juice)
Two sweet (sugar syrup)
Three strong (dark rum)
Four weak (ice/water)
(Measures, that is, plus some Angostura Bitters)

But even with plenty of Four, imbibe with caution - it can blow your head off! I once didn’t make it to dinner after one too many of those on the beach at sunset.

I stick with “The Original Pimms No. 1 cup” and it has been on offer for weeks now at Morrison’s and Tesco - £12 for 1 Litre bottle.

I have tried others but go back to this one.
