Good Morning Everyone,
A bright sunny start here in brackley this morning .
I have still yet to attempt trips further afield, as it was HOT yesterday .
I was having a bad day etc due to lack of breeze in the air but managed OK .
I also picked up prescriptions from local Boots , but is was queing again as one person at a time being served .
I also ordered my lateral flow kit from NHS as with the forthcoming endoscopy appointment I need to show a negative .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning. Lovely bright start to the day here in Cornwall.
Today we are planning to visit a couple of our favourite places. Portscatho and St. Mawes on the beautiful Roseland peninsula.

Wishing all a good day.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13° so not as hot as those further south. It's fairly cloudy but will burn off I'm sure. Kalu that's such good news to hear that your getting him home. Georgesgran I think that procession would be worth seeing.
Yesterday I had the boys for five hours. I was exhausted. There was much train playing and sandpit diving from dgs1. Dgs2 had a nice long nap in the morning and had to be lifted by dd in the afternoon. When he's up, he demands full attention. He's a sweetie though. Dgs1 went to taekwondo for the first time after they left my house and absolutely loved it. Dd sent me a photo and he's so much smaller than the others who are a full year older but the beans on his wee face!
Today I have to wait in for a paint delivery. I have decided to paint my front door. I'm not keen on the existing colour so have gone for a sage green. I'll paint it tomorrow I think. Apart from that, I have nothing planned. I'll visit my aunt and uncle at some point with gooseberry jam. The usual housework is on the cards. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a hazy Colchester. Yesterday's heat must've knocked me for six as I've only just woken.
This weekend consists of finishing the decorating and trying to keep cool.
Not sure if either will be successful. There's tennis to watch too.
Love to all ? x

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow.
Certainly not this sunny place everyonekeeps mentioning.

I'm glad to see you back Urms and GM, that your organisation is going well.

Despite my intentions to behave, yesterday turned out to be very busy.
I had just got up to get dressed, when SIL came up to tell me the utility room was flooded,? Where was Mr MD, when you needed him? On the golf course, where else!
SIL had decided to put out the washing for me and noticed it. I knew it would be the drain, because we are doing so much washing at the moment. I hen realised why, it was misbehaving, there were TWO loads of washing in it! ?
I sent SIL back to work and cleaned it up. After I got dressed, I noticed SIL had put out the washing, apart from two items left in the machine, my underwear! He was obviously too embarrassed to put it out. ?

The house was in chaos, with all the plumbing work, when the Ebay Queen came across. I knew she couldn't resist, coming over to speak to MY plumber ?.
The plumber whispered to me in the kitchen, is that your friend, who always nabs your workmen?
He had just finished and said, he would come and look at her leak.
I was itching to put everything back in order after the plumber left and my bank account considerably lighter, when she appeared back to finish her conversation! ?
She insisted on going through the back door to check our new decking, which she has been itching to see for the last year.
SIL, was standing stunned, as he had never seen her in action!
It was so funny watching her inspecting it and stroking the steel posts.?

The Queen had just left, when a whirlwind arrived. DS1 and DD1 had been subjected without respite, to non stop talking Dollie (her gran's mini- me) on holiday, for over a week and they were begging for a reprieve, they could take no more.
I think they actually wanted an excuse to check up on me.
We sent them away for a couple of hours, much to Dollie's absolute joy.

They had just arrived back when a phone call from the surgery came. My bloods were back and I need to come and pick up an urgent prescription. I said I didn't think I would make it in time before they closed, because I would need to drive to Paisley.
She insisted I come.
At that point, DS got up and said, I will take you mum. This meant Dollie had a reprieve and could spend more time with her adoring public!
DS treated me like a China doll, it highly amused me. He asked why I was laughing, I said it reminded me of taking my mother out! Now I needed a carer.? I was quite tearful ( in a nice way), I never get time alone with him.
We just made it to the pharmacy, as they were about to close. The pharmacist laughed and said, How many times have you been in here this week? Four?.

If I feel OK later, DD is going to take me out to get a few bits and pieces. Apart from the doctor's and pharmacy, I haven't been out for three weeks.

The sun has just broken through the clouds, so a good omen for a pleasant day.
Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday and hopefully stress free Saturday.
Once again, thank you all for all your good wishes.

Good morning from a sunny NE.
I am going on holiday with the family today. I will be spending a week with my two gorgeous GDs, they finished school yesterday.
Yesterday was very warm but the house was cool so I stayed indoors and got on with a few household jobs. I need to leave the place tidy as we have a 50th birthday party here the day after I return from holiday.
Welcome back to Urmston and * Maw*.
Thoughts are with grandMattie and Marydoll.

Good morning Mick and everyone, Good morning Urmston and Maw!
It's bright here in Carlisle...for the moment. Yesterday's early sun did not last, it soon turned into the usual coolish, cloudy day. We're not getting a very good summer in these parts.
Nevertheless I was out in the garden, planting, planting....the plants hanging about in pots are getting fewer and I'm hoping not to have to get more. It's all quite dry out there though, watering is necessary here and there.
Today will be pottering about doing whatever takes my fancy including a possible walk in the park to see how the cygnets are getting on. They are still fluffy balls but big ones now.

Have a pleasant weekend, everyone.

Good morning everyone from a slightly overcast Northampton, but set to be sunny and hot later.

Welcome back Urmston and Maw, great to see you back amongst us; you've been missed!

A visit to the nearest craft shop this morning as I'm in search of some fine black elastic - I recently bought a jumpsuit which has a button and loop fastening at the back of the neck, and am finding it difficult to do up (due to a shoulder.replacement), and thought some stretchy elastic might make it easier. Shall have a coffee while I'm out.

Then this afternoon into the garden to sit and read. Made a good start on the book club read yesterday, a third of the way through.

Wishes to all for a pleasant Saturday.

Urmstongran Sat 09-Jul-22 09:05:49

Just a thought ...

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Hope you day is quiet both Gm andMD
Welcome back from the norty step Urms you must have ended it here when I wasn’t getting the promised WIFI in Ireland last month. I wondered what you’ve been up to
Had my DGS yesterday. Looks like he has chicken pox - it didn’t stop him from being a monkey though. Toys scattered throughout the house, not doing as he’s told. Typical 8 year old??
His dad picked him up after lunch, then DH and I went into town. No wonder I slept in this morning!! Just so busy.
Today nothing planned so will take it easy.
Have the best day possible folks and keep cool!

hollysteers Sat 09-Jul-22 09:55:14

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
After bemoaning to myself at taking on too much, the run through with the little band was very enjoyable yesterday but I came straight home to relax rather than stay in town as I usually do. We have an air show here today due tomorrow, but today I take my paintings by car for an exhibition, hate finding new places and will climb a sand dune tomorrow for the air show.
Thoughts to all with worries ?

Good morning from a bright Dunblane. Just back from a lovely week in North Wales lovely part of the country. Pantglas2 I think I was in that new deli in Conwy on Thursday! They had delicious welsh cakes.

Best wishes to all those with struggles.

Good Morning from yet another hot & dry Cambs., (please send me 20 degrees & some rain for our parched garden!).

Good to see you, Urmstongran, (& your friend Matt!).
Also welcome back to MawtheMerrier.
I do think of our crumpet queen, ( she's exactly the same age as my sister, & even has the same name!).

I'm usually too late to post on this friendly thread, but I do read it & like to keep up with you all.

Warm wishes to you all, especially those with health & family problems.

Good Morning everyone, another beautiful sunny morning. It really is the best time of the day before it gets stiflingly hot.

I’ve just had a lovely hug with GD who arrived thankfully on time last night but went straight out for a meal with her parents so we didn’t see her then.
On Friday morning DD1 and my lovely son in law went out for their usual walk but seemed to be taking so long to return that I was getting worried something had happened.
DD came back in beaming and said we brought someone back with us and there was our Grandson. He had holidays to use before September and managed to find a cheaper flight. Mind you he did have to stay up all night at Gatwick and then had delays. He’s recovered enough to have already been out for a long run this morning.

I’ll try to keep up to date but will just send love and hugs to anyone needing them today.
