Good Morning Everyone,
A bright sunny start here in brackley this morning .
I have still yet to attempt trips further afield, as it was HOT yesterday .
I was having a bad day etc due to lack of breeze in the air but managed OK .
I also picked up prescriptions from local Boots , but is was queing again as one person at a time being served .
I also ordered my lateral flow kit from NHS as with the forthcoming endoscopy appointment I need to show a negative .
Take Care,
Mick

Good afternoon everyone, bit late reading everything today but I am now sat in the garden, under the fig tree with wood pigeons swooping around and the cat going mad trying to catch them. I am waiting for Amazon man to deliver my camera for my cycle helmet and then I shall be a happy bunny cycling to do my shopping. Welcome back to the two naughty grans, I did miss you Urm and wondered where you were. Ah think a van has just stopped outside could be my head camera,

Stunning sky Baggs.

Nannagarra Sat 09-Jul-22 13:39:18

Late the party so I haven’t read all the posts. Apologies.
Good to see you’re doing so well Mattie. You are one special lady.

BlueSapphire Sat 09-Jul-22 13:32:49

Urms, I wouldn't know if I was coming or going........

Morning, All. good to see urms and maw back though I'm shocked that there even is a Norty Step.

Wellness and healing wishes to all who need them ? and a wee pic of my awakening sky at the back of 0400. I've done a washing load, hung it out, yanked out bracken, superfluous birches and hollies, walked along the beach and up a track even rougher than ours to a friend's house to water her houseplants (it's raining in Costa Rica apparently) and then back home over the heifer-less fields probably collecting a tick or too along the way.

Georgesgran, I grew up in a small pit village near Durham and remember well the colliery brass band playing with the banner proudly displayed behind, marching through our village very early in the morning of Big Meeting Day.

Good morning everyone from a dull Co Armagh, it’s nice and cool just now , long time since I last thought that !
Welcome back our norty duo !
That was funny , your SIL not hanging out your unmentionables Marydoll
I’m in a dilemma about booking a short bus trip to Wexford , all our locals from the Village club are thinking about it , should be fun , but me and my Walker will be in a pickle keeping up with them

Good morning,
There’s still a bit of cloud cover, but the sun is breaking through and it’s getting warmer.

Going to friends later for a BBQ, which should be nice.

This morning will potter with a few jobs.

Take care everyone.

Good morning Mick and all. It’s a lovely sunny day in my corner of Lancashire. Currently 19°C and promising to get much warmer.

It was my birthday a few days ago and Mr. B took me for a wander around the Dales. It was unexpected, and very much appreciated as I have been feeling rather low recently following a couple of falls. My mobility is very poor now and I will need to work hard if I don’t want to become housebound. I have eaten far too many naughty treats and thoroughly enjoyed them grin. Today will be a very lazy one.

I really admire your resilience GrandMattie and the way you calmly get on with what needs doing. It’s good that you have your family around you.

It’s lovely to see you back with us Urms, you have been missed. Waving to the crumpet queen, hoping she is well.

That is such a sweet story about your GD Shazza, may she never lose that enthusiasm.

Good news Kalu, you must be relieved.

Good to hear you sounding more like yourself Marydoll and that your family are taking care of you (when you let them!).

Hope all our poorly grans are soon on the mend. Enjoy the day everyone ??

dustyangel Sat 09-Jul-22 10:26:13

DD just said that it was still 31°C when they got in at 11 pm last night.

Good Morning everyone, another beautiful sunny morning. It really is the best time of the day before it gets stiflingly hot.

I’ve just had a lovely hug with GD who arrived thankfully on time last night but went straight out for a meal with her parents so we didn’t see her then.
On Friday morning DD1 and my lovely son in law went out for their usual walk but seemed to be taking so long to return that I was getting worried something had happened.
DD came back in beaming and said we brought someone back with us and there was our Grandson. He had holidays to use before September and managed to find a cheaper flight. Mind you he did have to stay up all night at Gatwick and then had delays. He’s recovered enough to have already been out for a long run this morning.

I’ll try to keep up to date but will just send love and hugs to anyone needing them today.

Good Morning from yet another hot & dry Cambs., (please send me 20 degrees & some rain for our parched garden!).

Good to see you, Urmstongran, (& your friend Matt!).
Also welcome back to MawtheMerrier.
I do think of our crumpet queen, ( she's exactly the same age as my sister, & even has the same name!).

I'm usually too late to post on this friendly thread, but I do read it & like to keep up with you all.

Warm wishes to you all, especially those with health & family problems.

Good morning from a bright Dunblane. Just back from a lovely week in North Wales lovely part of the country. Pantglas2 I think I was in that new deli in Conwy on Thursday! They had delicious welsh cakes.
Rest of the family all going on holiday this weekend so will be quiet round about here will miss them. Awaiting a much needed food delivery from Tesco.
Best wishes to all those with struggles.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
After bemoaning to myself at taking on too much, the run through with the little band was very enjoyable yesterday but I came straight home to relax rather than stay in town as I usually do. We have an air show here today due tomorrow, but today I take my paintings by car for an exhibition, hate finding new places and will climb a sand dune tomorrow for the air show.
Thoughts to all with worries ?

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 09-Jul-22 09:47:46

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Hope you day is quiet both Gm andMD
Welcome back from the norty step Urms you must have ended it here when I wasn’t getting the promised WIFI in Ireland last month. I wondered what you’ve been up to
Had my DGS yesterday. Looks like he has chicken pox - it didn’t stop him from being a monkey though. Toys scattered throughout the house, not doing as he’s told. Typical 8 year old??
His dad picked him up after lunch, then DH and I went into town. No wonder I slept in this morning!! Just so busy.
Today nothing planned so will take it easy.
Have the best day possible folks and keep cool!

luluaugust Sat 09-Jul-22 09:35:17

Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. Busy day organising a family get together tomorrow. Very unusual to have most of the GC in one place now.

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire where the sun is almost shining through the clouds.

Thinking of Marydoll and Mattie and I’m so pleased to hear that your DH is ready to go home Kalu.

Not much happening here, have the best day possible everyone. ??

Urmstongran Sat 09-Jul-22 09:05:49

Perhaps you could wear your top back to front Blue?
Just a thought ...

Good morning everyone from a slightly overcast Northampton, but set to be sunny and hot later.

Welcome back Urmston and Maw, great to see you back amongst us; you've been missed!

A visit to the nearest craft shop this morning as I'm in search of some fine black elastic - I recently bought a jumpsuit which has a button and loop fastening at the back of the neck, and am finding it difficult to do up (due to a shoulder.replacement), and thought some stretchy elastic might make it easier. Shall have a coffee while I'm out.

Then this afternoon into the garden to sit and read. Made a good start on the book club read yesterday, a third of the way through.

Wishes to all for a pleasant Saturday.
