What Coronavirus Quietly Taught Us (That We’re Already Forgetting)
Why Do We Ignore Small Health Signals Until They Become Big Problems?
Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like another hot sunny day with high temperatures here in brackley today.
Today an easy day with the Tour de France on TV ,and a British rider 3rd overall at the moment .
Which is making it an interesting watch .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from hot and sunny Algarve after a very sticky night. I don’t think it went below 30°C all night.
I will catch up properly in a minute but couldn’t resist a wry chuckle at mention of Miss Marydoll’s lodgers. My own much beloved grandson has been told that he has to fold up his bed tomorrow morning before our physio comes at sometime between 11 and 12 am. We’re very flexible with her and she will always try to be flexible with us. She advised GS on stretches for his legs last year. (He runs)
Thoughts to you Marydoll and Grammarretto on your poignant anniversaries ?
You have a strong minded man there Kalu I’m so pleased he is making great progress.
A very late good morning from S Lanarkshire, blue sky and warmth, so welcome after a really horrible start to July.
Great to read about good news from Kalu, you sound so happy, it’s lovely.
I’ve been away since early on Thursday and haven’t had the chance to read or post so I have just read through from Thursday till today and am thoroughly confused so I’ll apologise now for not acknowledging important information.
I see you are still far from well Marydoll and send ?.
I’ve had a very pleasant few days in Perth visiting my adult step grandson with my co granny. He plays guitar and sings in various venues and we enjoyed an evening in one although received some surprised looks from the rest of the audience, it was a bit like experiencing the opposite of our usual old age invisibility!
Sorry to see you are having difficulties organising your scope Mick, I hope you get it sorted soon.
Best wishes to everyone for as good a day as possible ???
Wonderful news Kalu and a sad day for you Grammaretto
Good morning from sunny Sefton where we are accustomed to microlights and hang gliders.
Yesterday a Lancaster bomber flew exceptionally low over the house. Ooer I thought, time to wear a crash helmet in the garden ? and an opportunity to take a photo if it happens again. When it reappeared we were on a video call with DS1 who has covid. It reminded me of a bygone era when LBs were used and conversations with the PiLs who lived close to Manchester airport had to be paused every few minutes while the ‘planes went over!
Nothing much planned apart from to have my phone ready to take a pic of course. Whatever you intend to do, have the best day possible.
Good morning Mick and all. It’s another lovely sunny day in my corner of Lancashire. Currently 18°C .
I managed to get all the laundry done yesterday, will get everything put away tidily today. No real plans so we will see what the day brings. Yesterday there was dragon boat racing on the dock.
Glad you slept well GrandMattie, it’s what you need right now.
What an eventful day Gingster, glad everyone was unhurt.
Thinking of the crumpet queen as per ??
Hope all our poorly grans are soon on the mend. Enjoy this sunny Sunday everyone ??
Good morning everyone from a sunny day in Glasgow.
Sunny in more ways than one as I watched DH stroll around the garden, adjusting to his different way of life in each stride with determination as his personal Florence Nightingale ? looked on with love and pride so happy to have him home again, we are ready to get back on track. Thank you all again for your messages of support and best wishes, they were warmly welcomed and meant so much at a time when I so needed them. x
Much love and best wishes to all for a pleasant Sunday and gentle hugs for all who are struggling through life at present.
Good morning all from a hot and sunny W Kent. Dishing up for 13! today so that should keep me busy. It will be lovely to see so many children and grandchildren together, its over 3 years now.
Best wishes to all
Church and tennis only plans for today plus keeping cool - must remember to drink more water.
Good morning everyone. Another beautiful morning in Suffolk. We have deer problems too, even on the A14 dual carriageway. DiL wrote off the car when she hit a muntjac. Deer do tend to jump out in front of vehicles.
Hope you enjoy the tennis. I am heading out to annoy the neighbours with the pressure washer!
Good Morning all from sunny Harrogate
Glad you had a good night GrandMattie. Your outing yesterday will have been a tonic for you Marydoll hope you feel better for it.
What a shock Gingster - typical response for an insurance company to try to wriggle out of it. When we were in Glasgow we were broken into - the front door was smashed into. The insurance refuse to pay for a new door - we had to have it patched up. I told them if I'd know we were going to be broken into, I'd have left them a key!!
Church this morning, then a walk to Asda to get some salad things
Have the best day possible folks
Thanks for all your kind messages ??????.
♥️?
Good morning all and it’s a sunny one in East Yorkshire. It’s the feast celebration here today so an ideal day for it. It will be heaving so we will avoid at all costs. We just have an issue with parking if we go out. Being so close it is popular even though we have a drive in there’s no saying some stupid people will take no notice. The cones unfortunately have been placed on the other side of the road.
Yesterday I had some alarming news re my Dad. Even more so as it happened on Tuesday and he only informed my brother on Friday when he needed some assistance with the issue. He is so independant but I do worry as he seems to have become more frail in the last year and his neighbour also. My DS and family are close by this weekend visiting other family so he is calling in to
see him.
Yesterday we did a quick shop, coffee in the sun then I watched the tennis. Didn’t get the result I wanted though. Went out for an Italian in the evening and came home stuffed.
Oh gosh what a carry on Gingster it must have been very scary. We get them here around the country park area.DH has seen them out in his walks I would be terrified.
Same with cows Shazza
I noticed the same with Shoezone last Christmas Ash on a desperate mission for slippers.
Take care everyone.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Another perfect day here.
American cousin took me to our local Italian restaurant after a very long walk around the local estate.
This afternoon we're taking DH,'s mother and brother to see the gravestone since the engraving has been done. It would have been DH birthday.
Nice to see Urms back and Matt.
Glad you are making good progress Baubles and I hope Mr Kalu got home.
Here are the swan family we saw on our walk.
Morning all from a warm already S Hants, just been to water our friends allotment, harvested new potatoes, beetroot and courgettes, I’ve got cu and lettuce from our garden. Bbq for 2 with salad later.
Deer and traffic, not a good combination, they are so quick Gingster.
Pleased you’re sleeping well gMattie ?
Best wishes to those poorly.
Have your best day if you can, hydrate, cover up ?
Good morning everyone from a rather dull but warm NI , nothing planned for today
That is a very pretty rose Bags
Baggs what marvellous photos thank you for sharing. I love the double buds of the pale pink roses, very beautiful. Isn’t nature just wonderful when we remember to just ‘stop and stare’? We miss so much dashing about when beauty is all around us.
Good morning from a glorious sunny Northumberland.
We are staying in an old farmhouse but it is modernised and furnished to a very high standard.
Weather forecast is good for the week so we should be able to get out and about.
Enjoy the tennis.
Beechnut after just reading your post I’m ready for a lie down!

Goodness Gingster that was a bit of a drama yesterday! Glad everyone was okay. And Greyduster a poignant photo on your fridge is a comforter and a sweet memory. Just sorry for your loss of a much loved, nice man. x
Good morning Mick and all from a dull at the moment northwest coast. I thought it was going to be sunny today and I’m intending to catch a bit of the air show on its second day.
Heard a bit of it yesterday and the noise is incredible as I’m right on top of it, it sounds like the end of the world.
Found the gallery for exhibition with my satnag as I call it no trouble combined with my usual route but it took me home via various motorways, so won’t do that route again for the opening.
GM Kalu? and hope you all have a nice day.
“Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day” ? ?
Gorgeous isn’t it?
Here’s Matt.
I’ve just slept in, wowzer! A lovely afternoon ahead. My stepfather is coming for dinner. He was delighted when I suggested I make the SOAP dish with sweetheart cabbage. It’s months since we’ve had it and (a) it’s easio and (b) pork is his favourite meat. Ticks all the boxes then. We will have a couple of scoops in the popular bar downstairs first. He enjoys a pint first along with people watching. He won’t want to sit outside though at the tables set out on the pavement - it’ll be too hot for him and like a lot of his generation, refuses use sun protection. Well at almost 90y I think he’s earned his opinions don’t you? x
Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Some washing in the machine and another chilled and relaxed day ahead.
Roast pork for dinner.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and may you all find some ?.
