Good Morning Everyone,
The start of another warm day in brackley this morning .
A quiet day for me no cycling due to rest day on Tour De France were what I have read the reaming riders will undergo Covid Tests , and tomorrow will either see numbers down as they had to withdraw because of Covid .
Its not happening in other crowd related events in UK or other .
Take Care,
Mick

MawtheMerrier Mon 11-Jul-22 06:22:04

Good morning Mick and all to come - another hot one indeed.
I am off to London to spend a few days with youngest D and the little boys as my SIL is in Japan for 10 days. I wish I could have persuaded her to come up here though as London will be even hotter.
(Good thing I am going by car as the Dyson fan is coming with me! )
Wishing you all a gentle and peaceful day. ??

grandMattie Mon 11-Jul-22 06:24:15

Good morning from another warm, bright day in E Kent.
Rubbish night, awake at silly o’clock. A shame as today is going to be very busy. The cleaner comes for two hours, the Gardner for one, the priest taking DH’s funeral is visiting in the early afternoon.
Then I’ve got the 4 hour cooking of the goose and DGS and the woman priest, who use to come to give DH communion, are joining us for it. I must try and factor a nap somewhere in there.
Be obedient those who should (!), and have a good day, one and all.
Carpe diem ?????

Good morning Mick, I enjoyed watching the TdF yesterday. It was an interesting stage, wasn’t it?
Nothing much happening today apart from the carpenter returning to carry on with the renovations and a WI meeting this afternoon.
Too hot to think about doing anything really; I don’t like the heat at all.

Ashcombe Mon 11-Jul-22 06:34:24

Good morning, all from sunny Crewe.

The dance show was wonderful with contributions from every age group from 3 -18. My DGD, aged nine, was in in 10 of the 31 dances and performed beautifully, at times with older students. A memorable evening.

Today DH and I will travel back to Torquay; I hope the a/c is working on the train as it is going to be hot again. Safe travels to MawtheMerrier and I hope you can grab a nap at some point, grandMattie. Wishing a good week to you all.

Morning Mick, morning All. A clear blue sky over our corner of Somerset.

A need to return an item will see us heading to an air conditioned shopping centre at some point. There will be a stop off at a marina for a gentle stroll and a long sit down. I’m enjoying the heat, it eases my constant pain companion.

Safe travels maw, ash and anyone else on the move today. Your day sounds more than full gm, hope all goes to plan.

Look after yourselves everyone, hope Monday is gentle with us all.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 11-Jul-22 06:55:43

Good morning Mick and everyone from a sunny Hull. Not a cloud to be seen.

grandMattie hope you can fit in a nap today?

Ash safe journey home hope the train behaves. I’m sure the show was wonderful and you were proud grandparents.

We are at the dentist first thing. First visit in 2 and a half years. Hoping to do a yoga recording when I get back. This afternoon picking up DGS. Hope he’s not to crabby with the heat. We’ll put the sprinkler on and he can run in and out.
Have a good day all and hopefully you can manage the hot day. Thinking of those with illness and worries. ??

Gingster Mon 11-Jul-22 06:56:26

Good morning all and it’s a hot one already, here on the Suffolk Coast.

We are travelling back to Essex today but wish we were staying here with the sea breeze. We have things planned at ‘home’ and have to go back.

Yesterday was our 51st anniversary and we had a lovely gentle day. Our wedding day was also very warm back in 1971. ?.

Sorry you had a rotten night GM . Try to find 50 winks sometime today. ??

Ash the dance show sounds wonderful. I expect you felt very proud! ?.

Maw enjoy London with your family. Your trusty ‘companion’ will keep you cool.

I do hope you all have a gentle day. Take care in this heat.
Marydoll - especially you, take it easy.

Good morning all from a warm North Leicestershire.

Interesting day ahead as I am helping on a new course aimed at stimulating and maintaining the cognitive abilities of people living with dementia. This is a new 'treatment', approved by NICE, with outcomes recorded regularly over the 20 weeks. And we get lunch!!

Grandmadinosaur Mon 11-Jul-22 07:01:07

Good morning all from sunny East Yorkshire.

Yesterday despite saying I wasn’t going anywhere near the Feast in our local square we did indeed drop in! We decided not to move the car so walked to Costa for a coffee late morning, As it was quiet before the main event was in full swing it was quite pleasant. We sat outside in the shade watching what was going on. We saw a troupe of baton twirlers performing - some of them quite tiny looking younger than our GS who is 5. Also good to see a couple of young boys with them too. We sat for over an hour did a tour of the area and came home as it was starting to get very busy.

Today DH has to go in to the city centre. I will go with him as I could do with a visit to Boots for some cosmetics. Might have a look around TK Maxx while I am there.
This afternoon I am looking after GD for an hour. GS is going to his new class for the afternoon and parents can accompany them so I will have baby.

Safe travels to those in the move.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from a clammy Glasgow, another day of sunshine here.

I have an empty, DH is golfing and the lodgers have already gone to work.
I have no plans, I'm not feeling so good today. The nausea is back again. sad

Safe journey, Maw and Ash and I hope all goes to plan today, GM.
Kau, I hope your DH continues to improve and Baubles, I hope your meet up with your brother was enjoyable.
Sending love to all, who are struggling.?

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny ? Northampton, a lovely clear blue sky. Nothing planned for today except some washing, clean the bathrooms, then sit in the garden to read after lunch.

Have a good day everyone.

Beechnut Mon 11-Jul-22 07:27:30

Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

Happy Anniversary for yesterday Mr&MrsGinster. ?

I’ve got some washing in the machine. Yesterday I messaged my friend to see if their move went ok and she turned up on my doorstep about an hour later. She’s invited me to see the house this morning. So that’s my morning sorted. I think I’ll take it easy this afternoon. I did a lot of kneeling yesterday and I know it. My pump mending was successful I’m pleased to say and the cement patching didn’t turn out too bad. I don’t think I’ll make a brickie though.

Have a good day all ???

Marydoll Mon 11-Jul-22 07:34:26

Belated anniversary wishes to Mr &Mrs Gingster.??

Urmstongran Mon 11-Jul-22 07:36:38

No Matt = Monday.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. Another scorcher on the cards. Must put on some sun cream and maybe a hat when I go walking late morning with my friend. Well, strolling, with a coffee in hand. Almost the same thing.
#lazygran

I bought this brass door knocker at one of our local independent gift shops up the road on Saturday. It’s really heavy! Caught my eye so brought it home and Himself had a job to do.

The Manchester bee is an iconic symbol from the industrial revolution. The town hall in the city of Manchester (where daughter No.2 got married) has a black and white tiled floor, full of Manchester worker bees. Since the Ariana Grande terrorist attack here in 2017 these images have become a symbol of pride and compassion after that tragic event where 22 people died in a suicide bomber attack.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 11-Jul-22 07:38:43

Happy anniversary to you both for yesterday Gingster ?
MawtheMerrier safe journey to London and enjoy your family time.
Beechnut I love your water feature I bet it’s a soothing sound.
Marydoll it’s horrible nausea isn’t it. Feel better soon?

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 11-Jul-22 07:43:03

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate. Today promises to be pretty hot!
Sorry you had a bad night GrandMattie hope you can grab a nap while the goose is cooking!
Safe journey Ashcombe and you tooMawthemerrier
Hope you feel better soon Marydoll.
Today is usually my day for catching up on the phone, but I might end up with a spotty DGS if he still has chicken pox. Yesterday I bought a new paddling pool in readiness for him coming, but it could be too hot in the garden for him! I’ll have to wait and see.
Have the best day possible folks!

dragonfly46 Mon 11-Jul-22 07:44:48

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Walking with a friend this morning.
kitty I heard yesterday that one of my oldest friends has the beginnings of dementia. Unfortunately she is in Holland so cannot be much support.

Happy Anniversary for yesterday Gingster.

Wishing every one the best day possible.

Greyduster Mon 11-Jul-22 07:45:49

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from an already blazing South Yorkshire. Yesterday I was supposed to be going to DDs as SiL was making pizzas in his pizza oven, but in the end, they asked if they could bring the whole bag of mashings over here as the only bit of shade in theirs was occupied by the Guinea pigs cage (now I’ve heard it all!).! As it happened, by the time they came here there wasn’t any shade in ours either! But it was lovely to see them. Today I have a day at home as it will be far too hot to do anything much.
Have the best day you can folks - I hope there’s a cooling breeze somewhere!

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 11-Jul-22 07:54:36

Morning all from a cooler than England Vienna. We are leaving today, but before then we are going to Cafe Central for lunch, made famous by Freud and Trotsky. ??? for lots of you. Eleven candidates so far for the Tory Party leadership. Unbelievable.

Pittcity Mon 11-Jul-22 07:57:12

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another hot, dry day.
Laundry and a trip to Lidl to bask in the air con!!
I'll resist the urge to hoover as the carpets are being replaced on Thursday.
Love to all ? x

Jaxjacky Mon 11-Jul-22 07:58:47

Good morning all from sunny S Hants, due 28 today.

Kalu Mon 11-Jul-22 08:00:00

Good morning everyone from another sunny day in Glasgow, no idea what the temperature was yesterday but it was HOT!
When DH had an afternoon nap, DD2 and I sat in the garden blethering, me in the shade but DD, who has lived in Australia for the last 10 yrs enjoyed sitting in the sun at a more pleasant temperature for a much longer period than is possible over there.

I have just finished doing a daily meds. chart for DH who has a sackful of new meds. which require careful dosage and timing.

Happy Anniversary for yesterday Mr&MrsGingster.
I don’t know where you get the energy from GM but I do hope you find time to have a nap at some point during such a busy day.
Safe travels Maw and Ash
I’m impressed with your ‘brickwork’ Beechnut, well done for having a go yourself.
Pleased to hear you have an empty Marydoll, hoping you will feel some benefit from a quiet restful day.
Hoping you had a lovely catch up with your brother Baubles.

Wishing a good for for all, especially those who continue to cope with struggles and worry.

NannyJan53 Mon 11-Jul-22 08:10:18

Good morning from an already hot and sunny Black Country.

Monday walk this morning, so hat out and sunscreen on.

This afternoon will start sorting out things we need to take to caravan, as we are off to Upton Blues Festival Thursday. First time in the caravan as the last 2 years were cancelled. Before that it was a tent.

Wishing you all a good day, and stay cool.
