The chair……I can now see it!

Here is my chair in the bedroom.
I think many of us have one.
It’s never sat in but just used as a halfway house between the laundry and the wardrobe and a useful resting place for a plethora of stuff!

I have moved; gym bag, make up bag, deodorant, paperwork for a new appliance, many clothes, hair tools and finally the glasses I was looking for?.

Do you have a chair?
Would you be brave enough to photograph it?

MawtheMerrier

This one doesn’t have clothes piled on it as it is just behind Rosie’s bed and that might be a temptation too far.

The other one usually has a selection of jeans on it, but as I have been away, I did actually tidy up!
All my hair stuff (dryer, straighteners etc) which live in the basket beside the chair, account for the tangle of flexes etc

Lovely chairs MawtheMerrier, Edwardian by the look of it? I am a devil for chairs, have a ridiculous number. These are my current favourites…

M y chair. It is a very old one, purchased back in 1972 as one of four, which were round our kitchen table. Was then polished wood, slatted at back. Had lots of uses and the other three have all slowly died and gone. This one stayed, painted several times in different colours to match whatever room it was in. How white, with cushion and my very easy to keep,- no food, no dirt box, no barking, no walkies doggie. I have other chairs that can help out if required with lots of company, this is rarely moved.

My chair is filled with a plastic box of cushions to protect them when we were decorating.
I am grateful to know that other people don't have anywhere in particular for used but not dirty clothes.
My OH puts clean and dirty clothes on a chair, all mixed up. Only clothes IN the washing basket gets washed ,not those on the top. I am being bl**dy minded about this.

I don't have a chair but in homage to one if I did, my husband throws his clothes into the vague area the chair would be sat in the bedroom ?

No chair, but an ottoman that`s groaning under the weight of the clothes piled on it!

I have a chair, but to take a photo of it would necessitate me getting up from my chair, hiking all the way to the other side of the house to find my iPad, finding this thread again on my ipad, posting said picture then hiking all the way back to this side of the house to continue on my pc....... geez i am exhausted just thinking about it grin

I don't have a chair but I have a suggestion for clothes worn but not yet needing a wash. I turn them inside out and rehang them in the wardrobe. Then next time after I wear them, into the wash they go!

Clothes don't have to be washed unless they are dirty.

But how dirty??

Brilliant idea NewHere - Thank you smile

But how dirty??

Noticeably, either by sight or smelling anything from them. Which is why I hang mine to air if there are no noticeable dirty marks on them, to enable any slight odours including perfume to drift off, then before actually re wearing them check them over again and either be happy to put back in wardrobe or wear, or in wash basket.

But how dirty??

Normally if I only wear tops for a couple of hours and change when I come home, I might wear three times. I hang worn at one end of the wardrobe after airing.
However in very hot weather I wouldn't obviously.
