Yes it has.
I've just checked my inbox in case the person has messaged, but nothing yet.
I hope it's just because they are feeling better now.

StarDreamer Sat 16-Jul-22 13:46:13

Has this paused until you get the delivery address?

I hope the recipient is alright.

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 23:46:06

Oh that's good.
It's all been a mystery to me, just because I'd nip in the post office before.
Not so nippy nowadays though, so need to learn ways around these things.

Abitbarmy Fri 15-Jul-22 23:42:04

A joy indeed and I’ve learned something too now!

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 23:23:31

Delila Fri 15-Jul-22 23:17:38

Unexpectedly so.

Delila Fri 15-Jul-22 23:17:08

Yes, a genuine joy.

Chewbacca Fri 15-Jul-22 23:13:29

He is indeed a star MissA smile

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 23:02:55

smile
Stardreamer is very patient with me.
I would have been fed up with myself long ago!

Chewbacca Fri 15-Jul-22 22:56:58

I just love the sense of community you can see in this thread. It's a joy to read

I agree DaisyAnne; seeing one poster patiently and kindly guiding another poster through an important process, is indeed a joy to read. It matters not one jot what it's for, or how it's done, it's just lovely to see such kindness between 2 "virtual" friends. smile

Actually, I sold some of my boys stuff on ebay a while back - a big pink sack full. (99p)
The young woman came quite a way to get it, and gave me £2 extra.
Her son is disabled and wrecks clothes quickly, so it was absolutely ideal for her.
Except, when she had gone, I realised I hadn't included 4 or 5 of the really nice bits because I'd taken them out to photograph them.

It means I can send them on to her now. smile

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 22:34:03

Well, I would have liked a job in the library, really, but I know my place. smile

Sago Fri 15-Jul-22 22:32:02

MissA If your practiced at cleaning skid marks then a cleaning job in the prison could be ideal, I think you get extra privileges as it’s a job most prisoners shun.

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 22:30:41

StarDreamer

How far have you got with it?

It's packed up and ready to go, but mad dog Magee (aka the lady who thought she would like "the stuff") isn't online and hasn't been in touch.
No matter though, because I've often wondered how the pick up service works, and now I know. smile
I could never work out how a label would materialise out of thin air.

How far have you got with it?

MawtheMerrier Fri 15-Jul-22 21:36:01

I’m sorry MissA didn’t mean to sound smug - as you say, everything is easy when you know how smile

But as to cleaning skid marks (easy) sweaters , cheap or expensive (easy) hanging washing (boring ) - fortunately there is more to life!

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 21:17:03

Well, I haven't used it before. smile
I often wonder why things on here are made out to be so complicated.

Cleaning skidmarks, hanging washing, choosing new expensive jumpers, and so on. smile
Everything is,easy once you know how.

MawtheMerrier Fri 15-Jul-22 21:11:16

[oh dear]
I have been using the Royal Mail Click &Collect service since the middle of the pandemic and I simply don’t get why it is made out to be complicated.
I have a package being picked up tomorrow morning , and it took no more than 10 minutes to follow the steps, pay for the postage, print out the label stick it on etc. Fair enough I have done it several times before but the system takes you through step by step.
Paul my friendly postie will pick it up tomorrow - and if he hasn’t come before I go across the green to have coffee with my friend, I can tuck it behind the plant at my front door for him to collect.

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 20:46:03

Medium package?
grin
Thank you very much!

Aldom Fri 15-Jul-22 20:37:56

MissAdventure I'll bake a cake for you and Stardreamer. File to be enclosed. Will of course send by Royal Mail, collect that's if I can follow the instructions. grin

Sago Fri 15-Jul-22 19:21:51

??

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 19:14:36

Oh, and you're right I think a "medium parcel" it is... --said out the corner of my mouth in a "cor blimey guv'ner" voice.

MissAdventure Fri 15-Jul-22 19:11:10

Thank you, ^stardreamer smile

I hope someone will bake us cake with a file secreted inside, when we're banged up!

Sago Fri 15-Jul-22 18:50:15

That’s a shame, I’ve alerted the authorities, I suggested the Adventurous Miss and the Star Dreaming Mr were clearly using this forum as a front!
I’m sure they will be very understanding and a prison cell in the forthcoming heat could be a blessing in disguise.
