We had 37C on the car thermometer yesterday and today may be warmer. Fortunately there is a breeze, even if it is warm. I am planning to sit where it’s cool and start to assemble a cot quilt.
I hope the day is kind to us all.

Good morning Mick and all. It’s sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 29°C.

Yesterday I did all the laundry and it dried quickly in the sun. I didn’t do anything else, just listened to my book and drank lots of water. The only thing on the agenda for today is a Healthier You zoom meeting.

Good morning all from another hot, sunny day is forecast in Glasgow. 29deg at least yesterday. I won’t be moving far from my shady seat under a tree if we have a repeat, which is forecast today.

Hoping all goes well today for your OH Dustyangel and also for Gwen.

Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire 28degreees so far and rising, 37 I think we had yesterday, sun was too hot to go and sit in the paddling pool, so we waited until 9 pm and sat with our legs dangling. Bungalow has overhanging eaves so stays cool, so that’s where we were for most of yesterday and most of today, apart from hanging out washing.

Granmattie my thoughts are with you and yours today, the flowers from your garden are a lovely, personal touch.

Another day of doing nothing. We are both like limp rags. I have read about opening the attic hatch to let the heat escape, but I'm sure our loft is an oven already.
I will try and take a watering can to the hydrangeas, but we will see.

Off to sing at music club this afternoon and not sure how many will turn up in this heat. I had a last minute invitation to lunch but can’t cancel the singing. Just started using the electric fan and it’s a boon.
