Junk food heaven! (No holier-than-thou replies, thanks)

Whether very occasional or not, what’s yours?

A ‘very occasional’ one of mine came to mind since I just nipped to the corner shop for onions, needed for dinner* tonight, and (feeling peckish anyway) succumbed to curry flavour instant noodles - two packs! I’m about to scoff one for lunch.

*a very healthy Greek style green bean and tomato stew, now in the slow cooker.

My idea of junk food heaven is a Dominoes pizza followed by cookies or McDonalds chicken selects with fries and a chocolate milkshake.

Mine would be a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza with a bolognaise topping and extra cheese. Alas only in my dreams these days

A very occasional deep fried Mars bar with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate drizzle sauce.

Only ever had half of one; a friend and I shared one when we found a place in Glasgow that did them. I think it was shallow fried actually and it was lovely.

KFC is my rare treat, maybe once a year!

I’m rather partial to Bombay Mix and limit that to a little ramekin-ful once a week when I get some in?

A McDonalds Quarterpounder with cheese if I am feeling particularly naughty.

Crisps and chocolate, in that order and not both at the same time.

Just a little ramekin-ful? Amateur!
I will now admit that I ate both packs of curry-flavour noodles. They were very small packs though, honestly!

Curry flavour Pot Noodle.?

A McDonald’s fillet ‘o’ fish and fries! Just rediscovered them, as I sometimes take DGS1 there for a treat after Pre-school.

Ice-cream, but not your plain vanilla, it's just got to be something like Ben and Jerries. If its got fudge brownie, salted caramel and nuts I can't resist!

Greggs pasties

J52 Thu 21-Jul-22 14:04:47

Cheese and onion crisp sandwich on white bread with loads of butter!

Grannybags Thu 21-Jul-22 14:41:14

Chip shop chips.

A treat when my GDs come for a sleepover in the school holiday. Not long to wait now!

Blossoming I love Greggs corned beef pasties and steak bakes ??

A Magnum
(Not the mini size)

Fish and chips, piping hot, preferably at the coast with a bread bun, butter and tomato ketchup.

That's not junk food, is it? ?

Sago Thu 21-Jul-22 14:56:39

Just broke our journey to the Lakes with a fish and chip stop.

Delicious.

Some people seem to have a funny idea of what constitutes 'junk food'...

Patsy70 Thu 21-Jul-22 14:59:36

Triple cooked chips! ?

Triple cooked chips! ?

Ooh yes, and cod in batter.

Fish is good for you, btw ?

Davida1968 Thu 21-Jul-22 15:00:53

Chips, chips, chips....! (Proper chips - not skinny fries.)

Callistemon21 Thu 21-Jul-22 15:02:20

A chip buttie
With white farmhouse sliced and proper butter.
