Is he 9 already? How time flies. He looks so happy and innocent. Happy Birthday George.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 22-Jul-22 10:06:45

Just think, in around 55 years time he might be King! Do you think they’ve told him yet? I hope he has a nice day today. Does anyone else think he looks like his Grandad Middleton?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Prince George.??

Lovely photo. Yes, I agree, he has a lot of Granddad Middleton.

Can you imagine this poor lad being expected to travel apart from his family/father if the protocol is strictly followed that two or more (future) sovereigns should never be allowed to travel together incase the plane goes down?
Apparently the Duke of Cambridge had to ask permission of the Queen to fly with William as a baby to Australia.

There seems to be so much emphasis on family with the Cambridges - surely this is one protocol which Has To Go?

Mandrake Fri 22-Jul-22 10:57:44

Gosh, that time flew. I remember when he was born.

Smileless2012 Fri 22-Jul-22 11:03:19

A happy and handsome young man.

Grany Fri 22-Jul-22 11:06:31

Whatever you do, don't intrude on their children's privacy. Unless they want you to. How about leaving the boy alone and letting him grow up normally?

William is the Duke of Cambridge...confused

Wonder how the Cambridges got to Jordan for their holidays last year....two private jets maybe?

Apologies, I meant George?

BlueBelle Fri 22-Jul-22 13:41:28

I hope he is and will be happy but no one can say ‘what a happy lad’ from a photograph, people can be dying inside and smile for the camera ( I m not suggesting he is just saying no one can say what a happy child from looking at a photo

They went to Balmoral on Flybe a couple of years ago.

maddyone Fri 22-Jul-22 17:25:01

And they all went together to Balmoral (saw the pics.)

Royal protocol states that two or more heirs to the throne should never travel together, but the Cambridges travelled with George and Charlotte to Canada a few years ago, all on the same plane. I’m pretty sure they travelled to Australia and New Zealand together when George was a baby, as did Charles, Diana, and baby William.
I’m also sure they flew commercial, although they didn’t fly commercial to the Caribbean this year.

maddyone Fri 22-Jul-22 17:26:52

I also saw a picture of the Cambridges all getting into a helicopter last week, as they set off for their holidays. They also travel together in the same car.

And yet we don't know how they got to Jordan. I don't think Flybe go to Jordan. Maybe they hitch-hiked.

Yes, they're down here on the Isles of Scilly apparently. See the beautiful white sand behind George.
I was a bit miffed that the dog went too on the helicopter, especially when Tresco where they stay is an island which does NOT allow dogs!

merlotgran Fri 22-Jul-22 18:48:01

Dogs are not allowed on Tresco? ?

I don’t know how they got to Jordan volver so can’t help you there.

Flybe was a sad loss to me. I used to fly up from the south coast to Manchester to see family, and I could quickly get to Cheshire to the family from Manchester airport.

I wonder how the Cambridges will get to Balmoral now? hmm

Dogs and other pets are not permitted in Tresco accommodation, so if you are staying there you can't take your dog. W & K did.
I think you can take them for a day out if you are staying on one of the other islands
