Rose hip syrup at school, strained through muslin hanging from an upturned stool, it took ages and tasted disgusting.

A clay horse at primary school - doesn't sound too weird, except the body looked reasonably horse-like, but the legs were about half-an-inch long! I clearly hadn't learned about proportion at that stage.

ps. I was genuinely trying to be nice.

Little gardens on trays made with soil, stones, flowers and populated with snails!

Supermarkets used to sell little plastic pots of mousse with patterns, animals and flowers pressed into the plastic. We'd fill the tubs with plaster of Paris and when it set we'd paint them and give them to aunts and uncles as presents. I bet they loved them (not!)

Mud pies too, bevispl. I clearly remember mixing the mud and decorating the little cakes with daisies etc.

I once made sandwiches for myself and brother.
Marmalade for me and Marmite for him - and sugar sprinkled in both of them.
My brother didn't seem very appreciative confused

We made fish and chips... Small stones were chips and one large stone was a fish and then we wrapped it in a huge leaf for the paper...Happy days

This reminds me of a thread I started about weird childhood hobbies. It was so funny!grin

There was lots of manky ‘perfume’ making with rose petals etc.

For a while, I was something of a mini Christo, and enjoying wrapping everyday objects with cling film confused

Mud pies. Using empty tin foil pie containers, and of course wet mud, playing pretend shops with my friends…
