Good Morning Everyone,
Another cloudy start but dry here in brackley this morning.
I want to try and get back into my routine today ,and get a bus to Bicester , and do my usual there after a break of something like a month or so.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from an overcast E Kent. I think it’s trying to drizzle…
Apart from moving the bed and cleaning under it - it was a disgrace - I didn’t do much yesterday. Although, I did make a delicious salad to go with the cold gammon for dinner.
I need to get my turkey out for tomorrow’s Christmas dinner. It needs a long thaw, even in this weather.
DS spent half the evening shredding 20 years of bank statements…. My poor little shredder coped admirably.
Tai Chi this morning. DS is in London today meeting a Uni friend.
May today bring a few rays of sunshine ☀️ in your lives. Carpe diem. ??????

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country, rain once again its not been the best of starts to the school holidays.
Meeting DS and the boys today not sure what they want to do but dare say a trip to the yellow arches will be included.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed, take care everone and may you all find some ?.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I will be doing my Waitrose shop this morning. I will also pop into Boots and speak to the Pharmacist about my sore eye. It is neither better nor worse this morning. Engage Consult is down all week at my local Health Centre so I can’t ask them for advice. So there is little point in trying to ring either. I still have quite a bit of admin to do. I wasn’t going to do any of it with son and granddaughter here the last couple of days.

Greyduster Tue 26-Jul-22 06:22:17

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cloudy Northumberland. Hope your plans work out and you have a good day today Mick. Good to get back into a routine. Yesterday we had rain blowing in and out, but it didn’t keep us in for long. The menfolk went coasteering and DD and I walked to a nearby castle. We had a modicum of excitement in the evening when GS spotted a strange looking vessel out to sea. It was a jack up service vessel for offshore wind turbines called the Wind Orca. A ship that can lift itself out of the water. What an amazing piece of engineering. Today we are off to Alnwick Castle gardens, then eating out tonight.
I will catch up with you all later.

Good morning from an overcast Torbay. I was back here before 10.30 am yesterday in time to Zoom with DH who is due to arrive this evening.

Today, I’m finally going for an appointment with the dental hygienist after she refused to treat me five weeks ago as I’m awaiting heart surgery. My cardiologist said there was no more risk to my heart health than if I use an electric toothbrush!

Before that, I plan an early visit to the theatre as the set for ‘Allo, ‘Allo is nearly finished so props need to be moved from the upstairs rehearsal room on to the stage. We open on the 8th August for a two week run.

Your DS is such a help, grandMattie, and it’s good that you’re resuming activities. Take care of yourself. As usual, monk08 and Greyduster, rain heralds the start of the school holidays!

Enjoy whatever you’re doing! ?????

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, it's only 8°C!

I have been up since 5am, that was when I was advised to take all my usual meds, before my investigations today. I'm so thirsty, due to my Sjogren's, but no more water allowed.
I was also asked to bring all my medication, I had to look out a suitcase! ?

Enjoy your trip out Mick and good luck with the hygienist, Ash, my hygienist was brutal, thank goodness my new one is much more gentle, since I have to go every three months, due to the aforementioned, Sjogren's Syndrome.

Good morning everyone, milky blue sky this morning , hope it’s dry today , I have bed sheets whirling about in the machine , first of the bed changes for the stream of visitors
Went to Specsavers yesterday morning, it was heaving , is the world getting new glasses ? Get mine in two weeks , I was exhausted by the time I got home and fell asleep in the chair
Eldest Grandson called just when I was about to go to bed so it’s as well I had had a nap
He is 18 and taking a year out so full of chat about his plans !
He had a very bad last two years in school , with distance learning and limited social life , but making up for the latter now , with a temporary Kobe and a few pounds in his pocket
I woke at 5 this morning so have the washing on and kettle boiled
Hope we all have a good day , thinking of all poorly and sad friends in my iPad xxx

Good morning all from a brightish and breezy North Leicestershire.

Singing first thing then pootling and faffing. And, I must de cobweb the porch or we soon won't be able to get through the front door.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Hope all goes well today Marydoll and best of luck with the hygienist Ash.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 26-Jul-22 07:04:38

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is grey skies and 13 degrees.

Hoping all goes well today Marydoll

Today all but me are on there travels. DH to London for a meeting. He was lucky to avoid the rail strikes as it has been planned for a while. Then the family are off to sunny Spain. Had a text from DS to say it took an hour to get through security and they broke the front bar on GD’s pushchair going through the scanner. He’s got a form to make a claim on it.
I’m going to coffee morning and have the rest of the day to myself.

Take care everyone.

Good morning all and it’s a bit overcast and cooler here on the Suffolk coast. I don’t mind a bit as that heat and sun last week wiped me out. I will never complain about being cold ever again!

I’ve got a tic bite on my ankle and it very swollen, red, sore and hot.
The pharmacist confirmed it was infected so I went to the docs here although I’m not on their books. They kindly agreed to see me and have been given a 10 day course of meds. I have to keep out if sunlight or keep covered up as the tablets could cause a rash. Oh well!

I hope all goes well with your investigations Marydoll. ?

Wishing you all a peaceful day.?

MawtheMerrier Tue 26-Jul-22 07:10:33

Good morning from N Bucks where it is slightly overcast, but as Mick says, dry.
I hope this morning sees the TV aerial fixed, D1 was trying to persuade me to change to cable eg Virgin for my TV, plus internet plus phone. But I don’t know if people do cable TV to the villages and (channelling my inner dinosaur) it all sounds too much faff.
Cleaner coming this morning and then in the afternoon I want to see the new (to me anyway) film about Eric Ravilious “Drawn to War”. A friend was going to go with me but is now unsure about whether she is needed for granny duties so I may go on my own anyway. (Irritatingly I have 2 good friends in Bedford from my Art History class who might have been interested, but it’s very short notice. I might try them anyway, dithering!)
I hope your trip out goes well Mick and that today is kind to us all.

MawtheMerrier Tue 26-Jul-22 07:20:04

I forgot to send special ? ? ? to Marydoll - hope it goes smoothly

grandMattie Tue 26-Jul-22 07:21:02

Good morning all, I'm heading home today aftee spending the weekend at my mum's then coming south coast to my daughter's house Monday to help out because she's been unwell. So 170 mile road trip today listening to the radio and no doubt doing a bit of car dancing in the traffic ?

dragonfly46 Tue 26-Jul-22 07:22:22

Good morning from cloudy Leicestershire - we had rain yesterday - it got as far as my washing but didn’t hit the ground!

Lunch out with friends today - will wear a dress for a change.

Good luck today Marydoll I hope it all goes well.

Wishing everyone a good day.

JacknJill Tue 26-Jul-22 07:22:54

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. Fairly bright at the moment, let’s hope it lasts.

All the best for today Marydoll.

We plan to visit Dumfries House (which is nowhere near Dumfries) today, the grounds are beautiful with a gorgeous walled garden. Tea and cake will definitely be on the menu.

Have the best day possible everyone.

brook2704 Tue 26-Jul-22 07:31:44

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s eventually stopped raining. We’ve still got greyish cloud but at least it’s dry
Enjoy Alnwick castle greyduster another one of my favourite places as my son used to live in Alnwick before he moved to Switzerland
Today after dropping DGS off at his basketball camp we’re taking DGD to Urquhart castle. We’ve been before and she enjoys tramping round what’s left if the castle walls and we enjoy the views. No doubt they’ll be a trip to the cafe and shop too ?
Hoping all goes well today Marydoll and you too Ash with your hygienist appointment
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings ?

Pittcity Tue 26-Jul-22 07:32:00

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Yesterday's forecast rain didn't materialise and there's none forecast today. It's noticeably cooler though.
Back to charity shop volunteering after being closed for the 40° day last week.
Wishing Marydoll all the best and love to all ? x

Morning Mick, morning All from a cool, cloudy Oxford.

Heading home today after a visit to Pitt Rivers museum. Blenheim was at its stately best. Best not to not dwell on an incident in the grounds with a sprinkler which seemed determined to drown us both.

The very best of luck for today marydoll. Family coastering would terrify me greyd, you are an active lot. Hope the tick bite subsides gingster, a good thing to start treatment. Enjoy your trip out mick, a cool one today which will help.

Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 26-Jul-22 07:33:11

Good morning Mick and everyone from Hull. Really loving the cooler weather.
Today it’s my fortnightly visit to my uncle to take his shopping. Before that picking up Mum and taking her to her caravan for the next two weeks. I’m going to take uncle to visit Mum for an hour at the caravan today. He says he wants to see mums dog rather than her lol. My husband calls it like being on Craggy island from Father Ted when you get Mum and Uncle together.
Tonight we are going to our local Italian with friends.

Gingster hope your tic bite doesn’t get any worse and your meds kick in soon. ?

Thoughts with Marydoll ?today and anyone going through difficult times??
