Welcome to the world Fergus. And congratulations to you Nannytopsy. ?? Happy birthday to you Soop for tomorrow. My gammon was very tough and chewy. Disappointing. Oh well, the strawberry ice cream made up for it. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!

Many happy returns of the day for tomorrow, Soop, maybe you'll share your birthday with Nannytopsy's new grandchild?

Wishing your DD a speedy labour and a safe delivery, NT. In our day...and that wasn't yesterday... if you were induced, things moved along pretty sharpish, but it's very different now. DDIL2 had a 'sweep' on the Monday, but DGS2 didn't arrive until the Friday, and that was with a C section!

Healing wishes for Blossoming and YiaYia, and anyone who needs them. I'm so glad that you both have lovely menfolk and family to take care of you as you recover.

Enjoy your family time in Cambridge, Brook, you've been busy with your GC this summer. Our older GC are having a ball on holiday, we see wee GS2 regularly for childcare.

Muse, I am amazed at how well you and your DH are doing with your new build, exciting times! I hope he is recovering well.

SueD, you are one busy lady, looking out for your DMum and the new baby! Mind, take care of yourself too!

Jaxjacky⁹, I'm sorry to hear about your hosepipe ban, you take such good care of your garden. I'll pray for overnight rain!?? ?

Ladyleftfieldlover, your lunch sounds absolutely delicious! ? I'm impressed with your decorating choices, very colourful. I have neutrals on the walls, my pops of colour ( a la Kirsty)
come from soft furnishings! Mind you, in our first wee hoose, nearly 50 years ago, we had purple on the walls, it was the thing then!

Shazza, I'm glad you had a lovely time with your DS and wee DGS, I'm off to Google Ted Lasso and see what I'm missing!

Grandmabatty, I'm so glad that you are on the mend. I'm a great believer in the power of the nap, I have been known to enjoy a wee siesta.?

Charleygirl, I hope all goes well with your workmen. ?It'll be worth it when it's all done!

Urms, enjoy having your family visiting in Malaga, special times!

I've enjoyed a gentle Sunday, park walk with sisters, some batch cooking for the week ahead, early evening Mass... our young P.P. has returned, looking peely wally and wabbit ( West of Scotland for pale and worn out) after his 4th bout of Covid. Whilst I was sanitising the church after Mass, ( I'm on the covid clean team, we have a fogger!) he was telling me about the crime dramas he was watching during isolation. I must look out for Baptiste??

Now, early bath, glass of white Rioja, another episode of The First Lady, highly recommended!

Forgive me if I haven't mentioned you by name, I have read all your news and I am TOYA, wishing everyone an early NNGB. ??

Grannmarie Sun 07-Aug-22 21:18:01

Aww, crossed posts Nannytopsy!
Many congratulations and a very special welcome to Fergus! I have a very special reason for loving that name. ??

Grannmarie Sun 07-Aug-22 21:22:42

Dogs, hello ?.
I hope your sister makes a speedy and complete recovery. Some of our elderly parishioners have recently caught Covid, after avoiding it for over 2 years. It's still out there, still a worry. Take care.

Pants that strawberry jam is yummy. I bet you’ve got a stiff git for jam making. I’ve got it all over my pinafore. ?. I expect Miss Charleygirl will be cross (Miss C is more strickterer than Miss Marydoll ?)
Hello Brook glad you had a good day with your DGC.
Oh muse I’m still waiting for that housewarming. Hope MrMuse is ok and you are in your new home soon.
Soop happy birthday for tomorrow. Hope you have a lovely day
Yeah! Congratulations Nannytopsy and welcome Fergus. How lovely ?
Dogsmakemesmile sorry about your sister. Glad she’s feeling a bit better now.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 07-Aug-22 21:47:09

Welcome Fergus!?

Urmstongran Sun 07-Aug-22 22:02:18

‘Evening All’

I’m very late tonight & I missed yesterday too. The little family have joined us here in Malaga and we are just back up from an evening meal in Pedro’s. Six of us for dinner - I do love a circular table don’t you? It’s so inclusive.

Will read all your posts tomorrow morning while I have my coffee. Trust all is well dear kitcheners - the nicest group on GN. x

annsixty Sun 07-Aug-22 22:13:53

Welcome Fergus after making your parents and grandparents wait a while.
Congrats to all.

muse Sun 07-Aug-22 22:19:28

Welcome Fergus. Lovely name ? Well done to mum and all who helped with lots of encouraging sounds. First cuddle awaits you nannytopsy. ?

Dogsmakemesmile sorry that your sister has had a battle with Covid. Glad she’s on the mend.

Thank you Grannmarie and brook. After five years, I'm itching to move in completely and not just keep popping in. 2022 ?? Doodle.

SueDonim Sun 07-Aug-22 22:22:18

Welcome to the world, Fergus! ❤️ Congratulations to all the family, Topsy.

Congratulations to you & your family, Nannytopsy, we'll raise a glass for good health & happiness for new baby Fergus. x

Enjoy your time in the sunshine with family Urmstongran.

The past few days have been more comfortable here, a bit fresher, but today gradually got warmer & warmer.
Unfortunately the forecast is for hotter each day this coming week, reaching the 30's by Friday, & Still no rain in sight.

Our DD & family are off to her in-laws in Edinburgh
tomorrow, so will miss our Cambs., heatwave.

TOYA
