What clothing makes you feel a *Million Dollars* ???

I have a bright orange 3/4 length coat which everyone compliments me in. I do like bright colours.
It's about 27 yrs old but I don't tell anyone that! ;-)

I'm definitely 2s 6d today and more often than not these days.

I remember a black silk chiffon evening skirt which I bought when we were invited on a cruise but then gave it to my SisIL because I never wore it afterwards. I wore it with a Frank Usher evening top (Frank Usher was quite upmarket then!).

Perhaps not a million dollars but definitely more than 2s 6d.

My daughter introduced me to Popsy I now have 5 of their dresses and lovely coloured and well fitting tights

Nothing, I look and feel dreadful in everything I wear. The only time I've felt right or pretty was on my wedding day

Unconventional I know but it’s actually my M and S running gear with my Nike trainers. Running makes me feel a million $ so I reckon it’s appropriate ??

I have a navy faux leather jacket that I love and I bought myself new knee length navy boots with buttons up the sides last winter and they look great together. I can wear my jeggings, skirts or dresses with them and I feel really dressed up and makes a lovely change from my dog walking outfits.

When I borrowed some antique jewellery to wear with a plain black evening dress. (A diamond and pearl choker and diamond earrings. The stones were rose cut set in closed back settings and the effect was stunning by candlelight. (Sigh))

Serendipity22, that is a fabulous dress and you look sensational in it.

My mother bought me an organza party frock with sashes when I was about three and I think I have been trying to recreate the pleasure it gave me ever since. Obviously, the party look on a sixty-five year old isn't the same thing but I don't care. I love a proper classic coat with cashmere and wool and a good cut, a glamorous dress, elegant shoes, pearls ( I wear every day) and jewellery.

If liking clothes is shallow, I am paper thin!

Oh my goodness, you all look so glamorous. I've never had a "million dollars" moment and never wanted one. Not much interested in clothes. The height of glamming up for me involves draping a nice scarf round my neck. DDs have given up on me after years of saying "Mum, you'd look good in that... treat yourself, Mum". I've never had any interest in clothes and can probably trace this back to my teenage years when I would look in the mirror and say to my mother "does that look all right?" and she'd say "stop fussing, who do you think will be looking at you anyway?" That and the fact that money was very tight in early married days and it would never have occurred to me to spend money on clothes for myself beyond the basics.

Jackets make me feel good, but having said that, I used to love the evening dresses I had for work conference dinners. They always made me feel good until I lent them all to a friend for
a different conference dinner, and she handed them back afterwards having washed them. They were all dry clean ...

I absolutely love my collection of Bombshell dresses. They are so well cut and flattering, using gorgeous material and I always feel a million dollars in them. They always get compliments - I had a new one in last week & a lady came up to me in the street to say what a beautiful dress I was wearing. I was quite overcome!
