What clothing makes you feel a *Million Dollars* ???

No photo but I have a beautiful raspberry cashmere jumper, it is almost weightless and just makes any outfit look special. I want to wear it in my coffin!

Not blonde I can assure you haha. I once dyed my hair blonde when I was about 15 and my mum went doo-lally ooooooops.....

I think my finest moment was as Mother of the Bride 14 years ago. My dress and jacket felt lovely - the sandals matched but crippled me. I never wore them again!

A beautiful dress. Isn’t it lovely to see everyone dressed up on those nights?
It happens so rarely these days even in smart restaurants on land.

No photos of mine but I had a beautiful fitted long dress I wore to my husbands first staff dance in his first job,
It was a dusky pink with fitted bodice and bias cut skirt which swished as I moved.
I felt like the bees knees that night. And even better I’d bought it in a sale.

Beautiful dress and what a lovely figure. It's a long time since I went anywhere glitzy but big birthday looming so I will spring for something then. Granddaughters wedding in 2024 so I had better smarten up for that. Might have a bit of 'work's done too.

My special feeling was definitely tailored dresses and a leather biker jacket made for me whilst in Vietnam. Amazing, just amazing. I still wear them all as the tailoring was generous enough to allow a bit of growth too. Although it takes an occasion for the dresses to come out as I don’t really go anywhere nowadays that warrants one.

My big opportunity came while staying with a French friend in Paris a few years back. Her daughter works for House of Carven and my friend lent me a dress of hers for the evening that Maude had designed for her. It was sapphire blue with large blue sequins which caught the light in different shades.

I've often wondered where the expression "BEES' KNEES" comes from. Anyone have any idea??

Giulia, Bees - knees is a corruption of the word ‘business’.
As in, ‘looking the business’.

It’s probably got US origins, maybe a movie or song?
I shall investigate… ?
