My DS is the spit of Tom Burke, (Athos in The Musketeers, Cormoran Strike etc), but my DS doesn't have the scar, and he's quite a lot taller!
My DM was the image of June Whitfield, I've spent a lifetime being told how gorgeous my DM was, and how like my DF I am. He looked like Captain Birdseye smile
My best male friend, never a boyfriend, just a really good friend, looks like Postman Pat!

I've said before, I've been told I resemble a fat Rod Stewart, (minus the seventies punk-like hair!)??

MissAdventure Wed 24-Aug-22 11:38:23

Sorry, I just remembered a c
Chris Evans programme, which had a fat looky likey section in it.

TFI Friday.
I knew I'd remember, eventually.

Well my husband must do but I don't know who it is.

Travelling in Australia, we were boarding a 747 when the guy standing at the top of the steps did a double take. As we reached him he said it was an honour to have my husband aboard.
After take off he came down and sat on the seats in front of us and told my husband he realised he was travelling incognito but once again said what an honour it was to have him aboard.
I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable but my husband played along. We still don't know who the cabin crew thought he was.

In my younger days I was often told that I looked like Haley Mills.
Not so these days, I’m twice her size .

So that was a few years ago then?
Lucky for me my uncanny resemblance wasnt so noticable back then, so I doubt I would have won.
But now??? I think I'd stand a good chancegrin

In the 1960's my younger brother was frequently asked for his autograph. People were convinced that he was Ringo Star.

A cousin of my mother's looked like Freddie out of Freddie and the Dreamers he got so fed up with people shouting at him he had all his curls cut off and got wire-rimmed glasses.

Apparently my son looked like someone from East Enders. I don’t know who because I’ve never watched it. I don’t know what I was doing with my hair in the night but when I got up this morning I thought I could do a good impression of Brian May. (Since sorted out.)

Namsnanny Wed 24-Aug-22 15:19:06

Actually, I've just remembered my husbands cousin who look the spit of David Bowie. Before he had his teeth improved though!

When I first met my husband (he was 19), he looked very much like Richard Beckinsale (Rising Damp). He's still got the long hair, at least..........

pinkprincess Wed 24-Aug-22 21:19:30

My driving instructor was the double of Terry Wogan and I had a work mate whose husband looked like Paul McCartney

Mollygo Wed 24-Aug-22 21:22:23

My mum used to be told she looked like Princess Margaret. Looking at old photos I can understand why.

Harris27 Wed 24-Aug-22 21:24:13

MissAdventure Wed 24-Aug-22 21:25:41

I went out with someone who looked like one (either one) of Bros.
Teen girls would scream and ask for his autograph sometimes when we went out. grin

Shinamae Wed 24-Aug-22 21:26:53

I’ve been told a few times that I look like Michelle Collins (Cindy in EastEnders years ago)

MissAdventure Wed 24-Aug-22 21:36:48

I told this in another thread, but when my ex was here, he went and got his hair done at the barbours, complete with side parting and sideburns.
I went back with him to his, and met one of his friends.

He looked up from the tv at us, me holding exes arm, and said "f* me!*"
"It's Peters and Lee!" grin

Does anyone remember Mandy Miller, a little girl who made a few films in the 50s? When I was 9 my auntie took me to see the film Mandy, she was 8 at the time, and on the way out people were pointing at me and saying "It`s Mandy Miller!"

Back in 1966-7 a little boy asked me for my autograph on the basis that I was Rolf Harris (!). When I declined on the reasonable grounds that I wasn't, and that he wouldn't have been shifting scaffolding off Daddy's lorry on a Sunday, he howled, so at his mother's request I complied. More recently, I have been mistaken for Sean Connery, and even worked on a short of Shcottish accshent, but there is now a key difference between us: I am still alive.

When in my late teens I was told I looked like Princess Margaret

What a compliment! Margaret was beautiful as a young woman - like a film star in those wonderful portraits Cecil beaton took of her.

bluebird243 Thu 25-Aug-22 10:36:48

In past years my half sister looked a double of Pam Shriver [US tennis player]. Not so much these days though.
