I don’t read the articles but see the headlines, the poor couple must be seriously damaged by the constant attention and criticism they are receiving.

I’m not a fan but enough is enough surely!

Thats interesting springishere Thanks.

I had to re-read your post to check I had read it properly - was this said tongue in cheek? I’m at a loss as to where and when she has been bullied. Only yesterday she gave another ‘poor me’ interview on US tv claiming all sorts of unfounded nonsense about privacy etc. They left the UK for a private life yet still court the media. She needs to reign it in and stop harbouring the dislike she has for the Royal Family.

This platform on Gransnet is very much like the reader comments section of the NYTimes (newspaper) in America. It gives readers a chance to express their views. I find all this so interesting - what others are thinking on given topics, editorials, articles. As long as you keep it respectful and no vile swearing, I find it revelatory to find out what your pulse is.
Frankly, re the Royals… I’m fascinated and yet puzzled over this deep controversy that grips your country. I haven’t made up my mind yet.
Cheers to you!

GrannySeaside51. Since they left the UK they have done all they can to court media attention, Megsie can't live without it.

Publications around the world have reacted to Meghan Markle's latest bombshell interview, with one American publication dubbing her the 'Petulant Princess'.

Others in Germany suggested the Duchess of Sussex was overshadowing the 25th anniversary of the death of Prince Harry's mother Princess Diana tomorrow.

copied and pasted.

*I thought the OP meant that Meghan and Harry were going to stop bullying the Royal Family with their innuendos and underhand accusations.

Silly me! Now I've read the thread I am enlightened*

I thought exactly that

The Times article is written by Hilary Rose. A woman doing a take down piece on another woman. Click bait. Pisses me off.

Forgive me for not reading the whole thread, I read the first few posts over the weekend and thought I'd rather be gardening / sticking hot needles in my eyes than waste my time on yet another Gransnet hate piece on MM. However I'm in the office today and on my coffee break, so that's my tuppence worth. Women slagging off other women.

Indeed!

I find it somewhat ironic that some of those who are incensed at Meghan for telling lies (and, she appears to have done so, in fairness) are sometimes the same individuals who are supportive of Boris Johnson, who has also been caught out doing something similar. And are eager to dismiss the evidence and criticism as "bashing" and a "hate-fest".

She’s making out she’s the victim (poor me). She needs to just go away and get on with her own life which is what she always wanted. Her body language speaks for itself, she is the dominant partner in this relationship .

Dcba Tue 30-Aug-22 12:46:32

How unkind and cruel some of these comments are…..this topic has certainly fuelled some miserable attitudes. .

annsixty Tue 30-Aug-22 12:47:34

Can anyone really imagine Harry calling Charles “dad”
As in “ he said to me I have lost my dad through this”
Or words to that effect.

Nannashirlz Tue 30-Aug-22 12:47:38

If she stopped coming out with woe is me stuff and do as I say not has I do. I Don’t tell lies for ppl to call you out on then she wouldn’t get as much from ppl. Sorry but she’s done nothing but slate this country and Harry’s family down. Just look how she treated her poor dad and now she’s going after Harry’s. Family. I like many ppl were happy for him when he got married skin colour had nothing to do with it. But now I’m waiting for the divorce because that’s what will be next.

Grantanow Tue 30-Aug-22 12:48:14

Load of twaddle. The Sussex's are playing hard for publicity to enhance their income from their contracts now they are not 'working' royals. Meghan's comparison of public delight at her wedding with the release of Nelson Mandela from prison is disgusting.

grannyscott Tue 30-Aug-22 12:50:14

They do not court attention. The media should just leave them alone. Interesting that we’ve found out today they offered to go and live within the Commonwealth but were refused. The grey suits and the senior members of the Royal Family have a lot to answer for. No wonder their motto is “Don’t complain & don’t explain” it allows them to get away with a lot.
The media seem to think it’s ok for the likes of Camilla & Charles to rule the country. A man who took millions in cash in a hold-all. Any person with a moral code would know that behaviour like that was wrong on so many levels!

Anniebach Tue 30-Aug-22 13:02:04

They were living in the Commonwealth when living in U.K.

Smileless2012 Tue 30-Aug-22 13:08:46

Yes it is Grantanow and one of his grand son's has voiced his anger about it saying that there was dancing in the streets to rejoice the end of Nelson Mandela's 27 year incarceration. No one would dance in the streets because Meghan married a white Prince.

I wonder if she'll ever learn.

lemsip Tue 30-Aug-22 13:10:38

'They do not court attention'

That is clearly untrue!

Cp43 Tue 30-Aug-22 13:12:37

I understood she had a drink with PM as she was after help with introductions to rich high profile men.
He saw right through her and she didn’t like it one bit.

Then I suggest you read the articles instead of just the screaming headlines.

Nannapat1 Tue 30-Aug-22 13:14:12

They receive criticism which is hardly surprising after some of their statements and the content of her interviews and podcast. But bullying? No I don't think so.

Blackcat3 Tue 30-Aug-22 13:15:42

She’s the bully!! Note not one member of the royal family or household has said a word about her …. Ever….yet she continues to court the press with claims about them. She is a determined to be a victim….poor little princess …. Why anyone is interested in her whining alludes me. The pair of them are talentless and unable to earn money in any other way except harping on about how badly they were treated. Hopefully at some point no one will be interested and then they will just fade away….

'They do not court attention.'

Where exactly do you get your news from?

GraceQuirrel Tue 30-Aug-22 13:22:59

Anyone pro Hazbeen and MeGain needs to read Tom Bowers very informative and well written book about them (her mainly). Both should be done for treason in my humble opinion and failing that, strip them of their titles. With no connection to the royal family their earning potential diminishes dramatically hurrah!!!

GraceQuirrel Tue 30-Aug-22 13:24:12

Ps, please someone tell me what or whom in the media has called her children the n word that she is now banging on about? Tumble weed cos it just ain’t so.
