Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight but dry here in brackley this morning.
I intend to do the bus trip via Buckingham to Bicester ,and then return direct , with the afternoon spent watching cycling on TV.
Take Care,
Mick

Stilllearning, thanks for that info. It's shocking! I wonder what constitues urgent.
My GP says that it looks like the only way to get help, would be to take myself to A&E, but it's too risky for me to be in hospital!
Between a rock and a hard place!

Good morning from sunny Sefton.
Great news of Cooper, poor chap. Ooh, I’m loving your cruise, Blue; the thought of your meal last night is making my mouth water. Coffee and walnut cake, grandMattie? Yum! Many happy returns Urmstongran and, belatedly, Beechnut. Sending best wishes to the wedding party Sago.
???
I’ve just been downstairs to make a cup of tea. Glaring at me defiantly and insolently was an air fryer (yes, we’re late to the party). Recalcitrant b****r it is. Would the chicken make a full turn on the rotisserie? No. Was the intention to have more butter, lemon zest and thyme on my hands rather than on the bird? No.
???
Folk on YouTube make it look so easy!
Gallivant. What a brilliant word and an excellent thought for the day. Whatever your plans, enjoy.

Good morning all, I slept until nearly 8, late for me. I spend a good part of yesterday in the kitchen, we have family for lunch today, six adults. I could see £££’s wafting out of the window with the oven and hob in use.
I can understand your reticence Sago I’d feel the same with my veg.
Good news on Cooper Ashcombe let’s hope for a full recovery.

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Yesterday was a mild day with just a gentle breeze, I sat in the garden and read a magazine in the morning to top up my vitamin D. Late afternoon I tended the patio pots, dead heading and watering. My geraniums and lavender have been wonderful this year.
Did some more weeding out of paperwork and discarding of old computer stuff, found a box of floppy discs hmm

Sister and BIL visiting this afternoon, we will have a good natter over a glass of something fizzy
DS and family should be travelling home from Wales so won't be seeing them, they have been very quiet apart from the day of the GCSE results.
Happy Birthday Urmston, enjoy your day.

You’re another poster whose meals greatly appeal harrigran but I never know if you’re enjoying them with your son-in-law or sister-in-law. Whoever it is, I am green eyed.

Marydoll Sat 27-Aug-22 09:28:08

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
So pleased to have an ‘empty’ today after a busy week.
Meeting with solicitor, DS and my DD, she being on FaceTime in the south, for general chat about ‘going forward’ as my DD calls it after DH death. Good meeting re releasing monies, house, finance etc. Now I have to locate some share certificates. My DD recorded the meeting which is very efficient.
DS and I then had a late full English at a greasy spoon he favours. Such a huge helping, I brought two rounds of toast home and had them with jam later.
Just pizza in the evening and we watched University Challenge and Gogglebox as we always do.
I seem to have a second sense where my DS is concerned. He popped out for a drink with an old friend and as the evening went on I thought I would put the outside and porch lights on as more welcoming (stopped using them to save leccy) and he turned up at that very moment. Happens a lot.
So pleased re Cooper Ashcombe, love my cat, birthday greetings Urms thoughts to Chrissielou and congratulations Mr&Mrs Meg

Good morning all. A "Fifty Shades" day in the autumnal Angus coast. So glad Cooper is safe (if not sound) Ash and Happy Birthday to Urms.
Love reading about everybody's travels and doings. My own doings will involve a wee blether with Lovely Gardener who I know is around somewhere (it's pay day!) with his grandson who is Grass Cutter-in-Chief, and then just bits and bobs involving Wordle and a good book via a spot if housework.
That's a great suggestion for you from Angela re the liquid talc Grandmattie - a lot cheaper than a new bra!
Enjoy your Bank Holiday all x

Good morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.

It’s perfect weather for our balloon festival I’m delighted to say.

Photo of one of the many balloons which flew over our house this morning. The DGDs who are here for the weekend we’re captivated.

I’ll catch up with the thread later.

Have a good day everyone.

Blossoming Sat 27-Aug-22 10:52:14

Happy Birthday Urms??

So pleased Cooper turned up Ashcombe

A late good morning from Glasgow. A welcoming sunny day to now enjoy at leisure after a busy morning making phone calls on DH’s behalf plus a lovely surprise visit from one of my cousins who is a medic and a great support to us.

I am so relieved to hear Cooper has been found Ash. Lots of TLC will help him recover from such a scary ordeal.
Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Megs and Happy Birthday Urms.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Taichinan Sat 27-Aug-22 10:56:55

Love the photo of the balloon Baubles. So wonderful to watch - but you'd never get me up in one!!

Nannagarra Sat 27-Aug-22 11:05:50

? harrigran. It’s heartwarming to read of your time together.

GrannySomerset Sat 27-Aug-22 11:12:58

I am enjoying the vicarious cruise and excellent photographs but fear I have lost my nerve over travelling at present.

Have dealt with some long overdue polishing and feel better for it though recognise that my various small treasures will be binned eventually since none of the next generation polishes shoes, never mind silver or brass. Nobody is remembered for having shiny brass!

Doodle Sat 27-Aug-22 11:14:25

Happy birthday Urms ? ???. Hope you have a good day. Any cake left ?
Please to hear that Cooper has been found safely Ashcombe
Marydoll keep safe, hope your results come through soon x

aggie Sat 27-Aug-22 11:52:44

Good morning all from a very sunny Co Armagh, it is definitely autumnal though
I have been cutting down the sugar snap vines , I picked two punnets of pods from the pruning , so I left the lower green growth to see if we get a few late pods
I was showing middle son my watering routine in the greenhouse , but judging by the eye rolling I’m not sure if he will be complying ?
Grandson was shaking his head , I’m not away for a while yet so maybe I’ll cut back on the watering . I’ve had tomatoes ripen by hanging up the vines in the kitchen , so I could just let them dry anyway

dustyangel Sat 27-Aug-22 11:56:12

Happy Birthday Urms ???

That song was “Where do you go to my my lovely” Beautiful haunting song. Lovely place too.

Glad that Cooper is safely retuned to you Ash.

gM my gp said that problem was a fungal infection and not to wear underwired bras. Trouble is I now have to wear all cotton ones and getting the right fit by post seems impossible.
