Good morning from an apricot skied E Kent.
I’m glad you have your sister to take you to hospital, Mick.
I saw my old friend yesterday and she is a great deal better, although tires extremely quickly.
At 0745, I’m meeting my dog walking friends, who will water DH’s tomatoes in my absence, fora walk round the town walls. It’ll make up for me sitting for 5 hours on the train to Bristol. I’m leaving late morning.
Hope this finds everyone in good spirits. Love much and tell them how much you do! Carpe diem. ??❤️???

Sago Wed 31-Aug-22 06:13:31

Good morning from a very stormy Pau, we walked miles yesterday exploring this beautiful city.
Driving to Bordeaux today and meeting with all the family.
We are here for our sons wedding, it’s finally going ahead, I thought it would never happen?.

NannyJan53 Wed 31-Aug-22 06:32:39

Good morning from a dull Black Country.

I am off out early as I have an Audiology appointment at 8.15. It was originally 10.30 but they called yesterday to make it earlier as someone is off sick!

Wishing you a good journey grandMattie and an lovely stay with family.

BlueBalou Wed 31-Aug-22 06:35:16

Good morning everyone from a decidedly cool Wiltshire, there’s definitely an autumnal feeling this morning.
I had a really bad night, my ankles and feet are very painful, I suspect it’s arthritic pain as one ankle is held together with pins and plates and the other was recently badly damaged ? feeling sorry for myself!
Little point in trying to see the doctor, our once wonderful surgery has gone to pot, my husband requested an appointment recently and was given one for 7 weeks time! I assume that they think you’ll either be better or dead by then. It’s hardly surprising people end up just inappropriately going to A&E.
Sorry for the moan ?
I hope you all have a lovely day x

SunshineSally Wed 31-Aug-22 06:37:50

Good morning Mick and everyone from south Hants ?
I haven’t peeked out the curtains yet and can only hear birds twittering so I know it’s not raining!

Mick I hope your sister rings and is able to take you to your hospital appointment

grandMattie - so glad to hear your friend is much better than she was. Enjoy your trip to Bristol.

Sago I hope you all have a lovely time at your son’s wedding. How exciting x

Not much planned for today. Daughter’s birthday tomorrow so need to wrap up her presents etc - oh and take DDog for a walk and give him a bath as he doesn’t smell too good!! He loves to roll in the grass!

Hugs and ? for you all.
Have the best day you can x

Good morning from a fine start with another hot day in prospect in La Sarthe.

Last night we both slept for a welcome eight hours, apart from loo trips. It’s very dark, thanks to the shutters, plus on arrival we were in sleep deficit from late nights during the fortnight's long run of the play.

DGD attended her first rehearsal with the English Youth Ballet yesterday so I’m eager to hear about it when I ring her mother later this morning. ?

Safe travels, grandMattie! I’m impressed that you’re organised enough for your trip to undertake a walk this morning!

Have a wonderful family reunion, Sago! Happy birthday, Mr.Pantglas!

Have a good day, everyone! ?????

grandMattie Wed 31-Aug-22 06:53:30

What lovely news about your DGD m Ash. Hope she enjoys herself there.
My organisation? I have absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, so I mentally pack days ahead - actually was more or less packed on Sunday (minus toothbrush!?)..

grandMattie Wed 31-Aug-22 06:54:29

Ps. I have already watered the tomatoes and picked som3 for the fridge..

GrannyGravy13 Wed 31-Aug-22 07:02:56

Morning Mick and all

Safe journey grandMattie lovely tomatoes, chutney making time.

Happy Birthday to MrPJ , you must be so excited sago I hope the wedding is glorious.

Still warm here in S E Essex, the cleaning fairies are here this morning, I am off to the gym (haven’t been for a couple of weeks as far too busy with GC and family) Hopefully later we shall hopefully find out when our building work will start and a plan of what order they will want to do it.

Wishing you all your best day ?‍♀️?

dragonfly46 Wed 31-Aug-22 07:07:23

Good morning from a misty Leicestershire.

New tv being delivered this morning. We seem to have lost the yellow on our old one.
Then some one coming to measure up for a new downstairs cloakroom.
Then tea with friends in the local pub garden weather permitting.

Wishing every one a good day.

dragonfly46 Wed 31-Aug-22 07:09:39

Happy Birthday Mr P.
Enjoy the wedding Sago. My DD got married in Dubrovnik and it was magical.

karmalady Wed 31-Aug-22 07:10:23

Good morning from another lark in s somerset. It is going to be a lovely day. The last day of meteorological summer and it does feel autumnal outside

The big weekly wash is on to dry outside on an easy-drying day

A pile of paperwork and patterns to sort and put away this morning, it always plays on my mind until done

Later today I am going to potter and to read and have my fresh -ground coffee treat outside

I hope you all have a good day today

ShazzaKanazza Wed 31-Aug-22 07:12:21

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. A clear blue sky and warm so a good day for GS to be out in the garden this afternoon on the water chute as we have him for the day.

Megs36 ? for your CT scan results. ?

grandMattie safe journey to Bristol and your tomatoes are glorious.

Sago enjoy your reunion with your family such exciting times ahead.

BlueBalou ? and hugs for you today.

Happy birthday to Mr PG?

Picking GS up at 9.30 from his mum. I think I’ll take him to a farm this morning. He enjoys feeding the animals and climbing on the hay bales and the wooden climbing frames. Then back to the garden.

Enjoy your day everyone if you can. But thoughts to those who aren’t feeling well today. ??

PollyDolly Wed 31-Aug-22 07:12:30

Good morning from a cool, dry but overcast East Midlands. Several hospital appointments today. We are also picking tomatoes every day, this must be our best year yet plus this is the first year I have tried growing cucumbers and they have been amazing, think it is beginners luck though. We don't eat them all ourselves, we gift to the neighbours who, in turn, share their own abundant produce.
Have the best day possible and take care in all you do.

Gala Wed 31-Aug-22 07:17:57

Good morning from a dry but cool Sefton. The season of mists and fruitful mellowness is fast approaching.
Zoom zumba gold class this morning. Just discovered 'mirroring' from iPad to recently acquired smart tv. What a difference it makes to an excise class. Another bit of techy stuff nailed.
Bit of packing for our short break away and the rest of the day is mine.

Take care. Enjoy your day as best you can.

Gingster Wed 31-Aug-22 07:18:49

Good morning all and it’s a lovely cool bright morning here in Essex. Definitely autumnal - gorgeous! ??. It’s nice to be back, although we do miss the sea.?

GM enjoy your walk and I hope your journey to Bristol is trouble-free. ?.

Bluebalou I hope your painful feet/ankles ease . ?.

Have a lovely wedding Sago. ?.

We were back here in time for me to go to my Bridge club yesterday and what a giggle we had. It was quite chaotic but a lot of laughter ! My Dh would hate it as he likes to take things very seriously! ?. ?. .

Today Dh will go fishing , so I will have an empty, but no car.
Hopefully I’ll see Dd and little gd and maybe walk up to town as it’s market day and the fish man will be there.

Hope everyone has a good day. ?

kittylester Wed 31-Aug-22 07:23:11

Good morning all from, as dragonfly says, a misty North Leicestershire.

Off to see DD1 this morning, she had chemo yesterday and didn't feel well last night. She seems better this morning.

This evening we are hosting neighbours garden drinks. We began these in lockdown and have carried them on ever since. We do go inside in the winter months.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 31-Aug-22 07:30:38

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. A quiet day today, I thinks younger son is back in London. Probably a bit of laundry and ironing today and I may make a shepherds pie with the left over roast lamb from Sunday. OH wants to test the fuse box again and I think that will take at least an hour! So, not much happening today but I will be gearing up for lunch tomorrow with my friend who has melt downs in restaurants!

Grandmadinosaur Wed 31-Aug-22 07:30:49

Good morning all from sunny East Yorkshire.

Safe travels to Bristol GM

Very exciting news about your GD Ash you must be so proud.

Happy Birthday to your DH pg

Nothing exciting to report here today I’ll just go with the flow - read my book and watch some tennis.

Take care everyone.

harrigran Wed 31-Aug-22 07:31:37

Good morning from an overcast NE where drizzle is forecast.
SIL and I went shopping yesterday but it was difficult buying food while I am on a severely restricted diet.
DD was working from home and put in a twelve hour day, we are concerned about her as she has lost weight and is not well. She is only a size six at the best of times.
I have the day to myself today while I do the bowel prep, most of the day will be spent in the bedroom or study as they are closer to the bathroom.
Have a good trip grandMattie.

BlueSapphire Wed 31-Aug-22 07:36:35

Good morning from a bright and sunny Dover, where we tied up about an hour ago. Just been for breakfast and am now waiting to go to my dedicated disembarkation point - half an hour to go! Everything is packed and ready, but I keep doing checks of the cabin just in case I have missed something!

Yesterday was the perfect day to be at sea, sunny and hot, with a cooling breeze - I spent the afternoon on the sundeck reading, then a lovely evening meal, followed by a 60s/70s evening in one of the larger bars. The entertainment has been very good. A nice surprise when I got the daily newsletter to find that I had won a prize; we were asked to fill in a questionnaire yesterday, and they picked three names out of those who completed it - £50 credit!

I am due to leave at about 8. 30am, so should be home, traffic permitting, around lunchtime.

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone.

Marydoll Wed 31-Aug-22 07:37:27

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, but it is only 8°C!
I hope your sister calls Mick. Can you explain what Epidology means, I have never heard that term before and I'm nosy curious?

Sago, what a wonderful time, you are having, I'm quite envious, ? I can almost feel the warmth of the sunshine, when I read your news. I hope all goes well for the family meet up and wedding.
GM, enjoy your trip and time with your family. Wishing you a hassle free journey.
Happy birthday to Mr Pants.???

Blue Balou, I can empathise, for my joints have seized up too, I couldn't put my feet on the floor this morning. Mine may be due to a lack of RA medicine, but more likely to be sitting on the grass (I couldn't bend), painting a bargain plant ladder, (reduced to £13.50) in Asda.
I will gloss over the state I was in, covered in paint and worse than a toddler. It was a bigger job, than I thought, but I was determined to do it myself, despite Mr MD's interference offer of help. ? Thrawn, my mum would say!

We are off today, to have yesterday's postponed lunch in Glasgow, somewhere, we have never been before, an Iranian café.
It is right across from DS1's office, hopefully, he won't be in London and can meet us.
I usually send him a photo of his office window, to let him know we are in town. ?

Much to DHs relief, I'm not up to trailing around the shops, (anyway, I have too much stuff!), apart from a peak in TKMAXX, that's a given! . (Sorry, Pants. ?)

After reading about the struggle some of you are having, watering your gardens, I felt a bit guilty that we have no worries in that area, because we have so much rain here..
However, after reading about some of your water butts, we have bought one. It will arrive today, when we are out. (of course)
The only safe place I was able tick was, The greenhouse. How on earth it will fit in there, (It's tiny) I have no idea! ?Every little helps, so we are also composting our garden waste in our effort to look after our planet.
# smug gran. ?

Lastly, I hope Harri has a gentle prep day.

Wishing you all the best of days, apologies if I have missed anyone. Is anyone else finding it harder to keep up on GN, these days?

cornergran Wed 31-Aug-22 07:38:08

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.

A pottering day for me, couple of phone calls and some dust removal before homework in preparation for Zoom training tomorrow. Goodness the week disappeared quickly.

A very happy birthday to mr pantglas. Good to have your sister with you for your appointment mick. Hope you’re more comfortable later bluebalou. That sounds miserable. Why not try the surgery? It can’t do any harm. Hope your daughter is comfortable kitty. Children never stop being a worry. Garden drinks sounds fun. Safe trip grandmattie.

Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.
