Good morning, Everyone,
Twilight here in brackley but its dry at the moment.
I am starting to feel OK within myself at the moment, and stopped taking the iron tablets as I felt i was over doing it, as I ate foods which contained it
Usual bus trip out to Bicester I go in early and do not rush around when I used to spend an hour there.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a warm Colchester where the sun peeking out from behind the clouds.
2xDGS are already asking whether we can go to the park playground. I am already exhausted. We are eating out tonight as it is their father's birthday.
The eldest has school tomorrow so I'll only have a 6 year old tonight.
Looking forward to sleeping all weekend.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

We have DS,DiL and DGC today and Saturday.
Then it is back to school for them on Monday. The little one for the first time and the bigger one to the Juniors. Exciting times.

How proud you must be of your GD Ashcombe. A dance teacher asked me to take my daughter away as she was so hopeless!

Good luck today Harrigran.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. White rabbits! I must get up soon. My cleaning ladies are coming this morning and I’m meeting my melt down friend for lunch. I’ve booked a restaurant outside Cirencester so hope it’s ok! I think I have a Zoom meeting with some friends tonight. Not sure what’s happening there. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny, breezy South Yorkshire. Not sure what is on the cards today except picking up my meds later, making a couple of fish pies and doing some ironing. Hope to speak to DS this evening, as we haven’t been in touch much this week.
Hope today goes Ok, Harri.
Hang in there, Corner!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a dull and Cloudy Black Country.

A busy day yesterday. Audiology for 8.15am, then whilst I was there a quick trip around Merry Hill afterwards, bought a pair of Black Trainers.

Met my friend and we drove over to Kinver and walked along the canal to Caunsall, where there is a lovely pub that serve wonderful cobs! Then a walk back. It took about 45 minutes each way. We were shattered when we finally arrived home.

This morning I have a NHS Health Check, hopefully all will be ok.

Have an enjoyable day everyone

Good morning all from Glasgow, blue skies with the promise of wall to wall sunshine thankfully as DD1 and her partner are off to Glencoe for three days in their new campervan. They had a notion for ham ribs to have during their trip but I suggested she cook them before leaving later today! Cooking ham ribs for two hours in a campervan??? She has never cooked them before. ?

Enjoy your coffee catch-up shazza and grandmadinosaur
Hope all goes well for today Harrigran
Swan Lake was the first ballet my parents took me to Ash. You must, quite rightly so, be very proud of your GD. The cream you recommended reminds me of my favourite seafood sauce.
Where do you find the energy kitty and can I have some please?

Much love and best wishes for a good day all and hopefully some respite from troubles for those of you coping with such.

What does your meltdown friend actually do when you eat out with her LLFL? I must have missed the back story.

Good morning from a bright and cool East Midlands. Happy September! Three quarters of 2022 gone already!!! Please, no one mention the 'C' word yet, it is still many weeks away!
Having a friend over for a cuppa today, I haven't seen her for some time so we are long overdue a good chat and a catchup; must pick some veggies for her to take home with her.
Otherwise, nothing much planned for today, MrP has put a wash load on while I made his morning cuppa.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care in all you do.

Good Morning Mick and all. Cloudy skies looking south and calm blue looking north - thank goodness for swivel chairs - I can take my pick of the weather!
Goodness what a busy lot you all are. Today is quiet for me except for tai chi, but yesterday was a day of appointments - skin specialist in the morning at a lovely little cottage hospital across the county, and then optician in the afternoon down in the town. Tomorrow I'm meeting my niece for lunch and a catch-up. All her grandchildren have started school now - how can that be!!
You must be so excited for your granddaughter, Ash. She will so love it, and learn so much. My dancing DGD is back in college for another year and is so enthusiastic about it. Mind you she says she is soooo exhausted at the end of the day and then still has a long walk back to her flat. Oh to be young again, with all that energy!
The sun is struggling through the cloud and there's blue sky to the south as well now, so off I go to make the most of it.
Harrigran I hope all goes well for you today, and everyone else have the best day x

I'm intrigued too, it all sounds quite mysterious doesn't it Urmstongran?

Good morning everyone .
I just have a couple of cakes to deliver otherwise a day at home for me. I am quite uncomfortable with arthritis pain today.
Hope fully by this afternoon I’ll be feeling better and can finish sewing the last of 10 glass cases which are for welcome gifts next weekend.
Wishing you all a good day with a smile or two along the way.

Good morning all,

A sunny start today but fairly breezy.

Pilates this morning and then we’ll see. I’ve got an appointment this pm, but otherwise quite an empty day.

Hope your day goes as well as possible.

LauraNorderr Thu 01-Sept-22 09:16:21

Good morning from ☀️Anglesey. Wow, September already, children returning to school, holidaymakers going homeward, Strictly soon on telly, last night of the Proms coming closer.
We’ve had the busiest of summers with family and friends visiting in their droves, some preplanned and some delightful surprises.
I have enjoyed cruising with some of you and basking in the sun with others, love to see pictures of foreign lands.
Looking forward to pics of the Bordeaux wedding Sago, what a romantic place to get married.
Hope the daughters going through chemo are doing okay, end in sight and the road to recovery looming.
Congratulations to proud grans of budding ballerinas, yes you Ash and proud grans of those who did well in A levels, Btecs and GCSEs. We’re always proud of them aren’t we, whatever they do.
Have a good day all and don’t forget to look out for that random pink flamingo.
?????

GrannySomerset Thu 01-Sept-22 09:21:33

Sixty years ago I was getting ready for our wedding on one of the very few fine Saturdays that summer. Parts of the day are so vivid in my memory that I can’t believe it is so long ago, particularly the drive from the church to the reception through a sunny Hyde Park and then along very busy Oxford Street where we felt like royalty as people waved to us!

I am taking a friend out to lunch, a small thank you for all her support and kindness and we will talk about our much loved and missed husbands to our hearts’ content without boring anyone else. Carpe diem.

Nannagarra Thu 01-Sept-22 09:21:34

Good morning from sunny Sefton by the sea. ? Gala if you’re reading.
DGD will be back at school next week so yesterday’s three hour frolicking in water was our last for some time. ? In the evening I enjoyed my own swim in the slot just after the wild swimming ladies. When I meet them they are very keen to add me to their group, appearing with dry robes for me to try, advising me about wet suits. So far I am resisting temptation!
Today we’re having windows, patio and French doors fitted. I’ve booked the flooring for two weeks’ time, enjoying SKIing.
Putting the world to rights with a group of friends this afternoon is on my agenda, plus of course the obligatory cake…
Whatever your plans, carpe diem.
?

Good morning all , kind thoughts to those “going through it”, Harrigran I used to tell Paw when he had his annual colonoscopy that people paid good money for the “detox and cleanse” he got for free from the NHS with his Moviprep. Somehow he was never very amused - I wonder why?
He preferred to have his done in the morning , I think because of the Moviprep timing, but I do not envy you. Getting him to London for the procedure was always an issue because of the length of the journey.
D, SIL and GS (and dog) have gone now - I am always relieved when I hear they are safely home, you can’t help worrying can you?
So today I think I need to give the house a bit of a blitz and have started on the upstairs bathroom floors with my Flash speed mop. I’ll try to Hoover especially downstairs before I run out of momentum - it may be a close run thing.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and a good month!

HAZBEEN Thu 01-Sept-22 09:25:29

Good morning all! After the lovely support and PMs from some of you kind ladies on "that thread" the other day I have given myself a good talking to and thought I would try again!
Not a lot going on today, just sorting out a few cupboardsans such like.
I got a message from the GP yesterday to say she is phoning tomorrow am to discuss some test results. A few weeks ago the head of practice called me in after a medicine review and I had a 40 minute face to face. The upshot was lots of blood tests, xrays and such were ordered and the results have started to come back. My Blood Cancer is now under control, (I take oral chemo 5 days a week and that is for life) but my other problems had been put on the back burner. She now wants them sorted, thank goodness she took a look!
I have still been reading this thread everyday and best wishes to all of you who have had troubles and your families.
Thank you for the shout out Marydoll, you make me smile everyday with your novellas!
Keep on keeping on everyone!

Good morning Mick and everyone. Dry and bright at the moment in my corner of Lancashire, though there are quite a few clouds about. Currently 16°C.

September is my favourite month, the light is so soft and beautiful and it’s not too hot. Planning on a few gentle walks in the next few weeks, wobbly head permitting. We are going out for a pub lunch today, revisiting an old haunt.

Hope all goes well today Harrigran, and hope the dentist appointment has the desired outcome Marydoll.

Good luck with the lunch date LadyLL grin

Happy Birthday to Imogen Jax, and to your daughter Sally.

Have the best day possible all. Safe journey to all travellers and enjoy those family get togethers ?
