Hola Mick and all who follow an ever lightening Andalusia where I’m enjoying the chamberpot and planning the day ahead ?

A day along the coast with lunch at a chiringuito and checking Urms ? sweeping techniques are up to scratch ? with a possible mooch around Ikea if Mr PG can be persuaded (a lunchtime ?and a snooze on the sunbed usually softens him up....?) he thanks you all for his birfdae greetings ?

It’s pension day today ? and there will be another on September 30 - magic month ?happens once a year for those of us paid 4weekly so that’ll go towards fuel bills....

I’ll pop back later to read about your doings...be good x

ShazzaKanazza Fri 02-Sept-22 06:17:19

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s going to be a lovely day here again.

I’m up early as I need to be at my sons for 8 to be with my GS so he can get off to work. I’ll bring him back here he’ll have another breakfast and probably take him to the local park. This afternoon we’ll go to a large park with his scooter. He’ll be on and off the water slide again today in the garden. Brrrr! Kids don’t seem to notice the cold though do they.
Had a lovely meet up yesterday with Grandmadinosaur and we can chat for England. We enjoyed a cuppa and cake.

Have a lovely day everyone I’ll read all your news as the day goes on??

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset.

Survived the training, Zoom truly isn’t my natural habitat, it’s left me uncertain about the volunteer role, wait and see time.

Ironing to do and some organising, suspect we’ll wander out for coffee. Phone calls to make after lunch.

Take care everyone. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 02-Sept-22 06:35:42

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. A quietish day looms. I need to do some baking and also make a batch of chocolate frosting to keep in the freezer. OH still hasn’t checked the fuse box so that might happen today. Hope you all have a good Friday.

Ashcombe Fri 02-Sept-22 06:38:04

Good morning from a soggy Sarthe after a disturbed night due to a thunderstorm and some feline caterwauling! (not our one remaining moggy!) Our water butts are overflowing!

Apart from a visit to Lidl, yesterday was rather unproductive for me as I was recovering from the migraine I’d had on Wednesday evening. The oppressive weather didn’t help matters.

Susan56: I was delighted to read that you’re intending to watch Swan Lake at The Regent! What a treat for you and your DGD! Bookings are now being taken for the three performances on 23rd and 24th September, which includes a matinee on the Saturday.

Have a good weekend, everyone! ?????

Greyduster Fri 02-Sept-22 06:43:11

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still not properly light here, but should be a dry day. I was reasonably busy trying to catch up yesterday after spending most of the morning trying to sort out one of DH’s pensions with his provider and then HMRC, where a lovely lady told me I appeared to be paying too much tax! DD came over in the evening and we had a bit of a walk and then GS and SiL joined us and we had a fish and chip supper. DS is coming down for the weekend so I will be overwhelmed with company! I haven’t seen him for a while so there will be a lot to talk about.
Whatever you are doing today, I hope there is some joy in it.

Marydoll Fri 02-Sept-22 06:46:28

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its only 8°C.

Yesterday's fitting of my replacement crown, was a bit problematic, due to the fact that there was a considerable gap between the prep work and the fitting. The RA in my jaw didn't help either, as there was a problem with my bite.
However, it was totally painless, so no complaints here.

Today is a footering day, apart from a small supermarket shop.
I'm very weary, and my joints have seized up, so no popping into B&M (and being seduced by plants reduced to 50p) and Matalan on the way home, like I usually do.

I wish you all a pleasant day and I am keeping Harri in my thoughts today. I hope your procedure is not too unpleasant. ?

Jaxjacky Fri 02-Sept-22 07:00:21

Morning all from a slightly damp S Hants. No real plans today, filled up my garden waste bin yesterday ready for today’s collection. I’ve some lifts to sort from the phone calls i picked up, some of the people who call are very lonely and enjoy a bit of a chat.
I hope you’re still enjoying your cruise Ekwa.
Enjoy your day if you can ??

mumofmadboys Fri 02-Sept-22 07:01:43

Good morning all! Not been on GN much recently. We have been busy with our Ukrainian guests. Going to a godson's wedding tomorrow and then staying at friends overnight. Today will be preparing for the weekend and a bridge match tonight and hopefully a bit of gardening. Hope everyone has a peaceful day

brook2704 Fri 02-Sept-22 07:02:56

Good morning everyone from Weymouth where the weather forecast has improved slightly so I don’t think we’ll get too wet on our walk today
We’re continuing onto Lulworth Cove, the path looks like there’s lots of ups and downs along the way. That’ll test the legs again I’m sure !
Fingers crossed the volunteering role works out ok for you cornergran
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Greyduster Fri 02-Sept-22 07:03:49

Good to see you posting again MOMB!

brook2704 Fri 02-Sept-22 07:04:39

Late good morning from gorgeous Cardiff. Stil in bed, curtain ps closed, but sunshine is leaking through,
Ash, I’m very jealous of your rain, Mary, despite the RA problems, I am pleased the dental au went well.
Am very stiff this morning from unaccustomed exercise. We walked/stood/strolled all day + three visits to the pool. M6 pos hips!
The art gallery was disappointing as most of the impressionist paintings were awol for whatever reason, but the geological exhibition enthralled the vitals.
We wen5 shopping in the afternoon. I had immediatel attention at M&S for bra fitting and was buying some in 15 minutes! So comfy!
I was exhausted by the end of the evening, unfortunately DD1 sleeps badly, was fidgety and ended up going next door to her mum at about 1am, etc, so I had a very fractured night.
Back to Bristol after a visit to St. Fagans.
Carpe diem. ??❤️❤️??

Grandmadinosaur Fri 02-Sept-22 07:17:36

Good morning all from East Yorkshire where it looks like it’s going to be another nice day.

We are having GS for the last full day before back to school next week. We will go to the coast but not as far up as Brid as he has to be home for his back to school hair cut by 3. Ds also sent me a photo last night of GD who know appears to have mastered the art of crawling and following him rather than previously she just went round in a circle ?

As Shazza said we had a very enjoyable afternoon catching up and having tea and cake.

Enjoy lovely Weymouth Brook and the Dorset coast. I admire your fitness.

Take care everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Fri 02-Sept-22 07:18:16

Sorry that should be now not know ?

Pittcity Fri 02-Sept-22 07:19:31

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Family trip to Walton on the Naze beach today.
Trying to squeeze everything we might need plus picnic into a bag small enough to carry on the train.
Love to all ? x

NannyJan53 Fri 02-Sept-22 07:20:19

Good morning from another dull and overcast Black Country, albeit still warm

My Health Check went well, except that my Cholesterol is 7 and should be 5 and under. I am 5ft 5 and weigh 9st 5 so it is not my weight. I rarely eat food on the avoid list! So I have 3 months to get it down or they are saying Statins, which I really would rather not.

Gym this morning, then try and tackle the ironing! Then we are off to Birmingham late afternoon to check into Hotel, then an early meal out before off to see see Arcade Fire.

Wishing you all a pleasant day

karmalady Fri 02-Sept-22 07:23:59

Good morning and the sun is peeping out in s somerset.

GrandMattie, st fagans was one of my most favourite places to visit, I never got tired of it when I lived in s wales

No plans for today, it will evolve as usual. Nothing too strenuous as much heavy lifting was done outside yesterday. I shall be quite happy sitting outside with crochet on my lap as I am using up home -spun sheeps wool from years ago, I am making a very cosy throw.

mumofmadboys Fri 02-Sept-22 07:24:00

Thanks Greyduster,Brook and Marydoll

ginny Fri 02-Sept-22 07:28:52

Good morning from N. Bucks where it is damp due to rain overnight.
DH has gone to golf and I am going to have a sort out and finishing off day.
This evening we are out for dinner with friends.
Hope you all have a good day.

Beechnut Fri 02-Sept-22 07:32:38

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s a little dull but should brighten up later.

I’ve done my weekly shop so it’s going to be a day in the garden for me. I’ve some stumps to attend to and will make a start on what I’m going to say is a wooden wall. I bought quite a few more bulbs yesterday for my bank. It should look brighter under the trees in the spring.

I’m following your walking with more interest now brook as you are nearing what used to be our frequent holiday stamping ground.

Have a good day all ??

SunshineSally Fri 02-Sept-22 07:38:04

Good morning Mick and everyone from an overcast but dry south Hants ?

Bit late today and it’s a flying visit - will catch up with your posts later - as it’s my birthday today and I have a DH who gets excited when it’s ANYONES birthday!! ? Off for a doggy walk and a birthday breakfast… eggs Benedict is calling me!

Have the best day you can everyone.
Hugs and double ?? for you all xx

PollyDolly Fri 02-Sept-22 07:38:45

Good morning everyone from an overcast but dry East Midlands. I am meeting some friends this morning to discuss a social group venture, no doubt there will be coffee and biscuits involved at some point.
Nothing planned for the rest of the day but I am looking forward to a visit by DD and GC tomorrow.
Will check for any runner beans that are ready for harvest, they seem to be doing better since the searing temperatures have dropped.
Have the best day possible and take care in all you do.
