I will also catch bus to Bicester today as well , I may have Bowel Cancer or similar so things may change in future .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dark E Kent. We are forecast a thunderstorm; I’ve heard thunder but no rain…
Mick, I’m sorry the gastroscopy was unpleasant and gave iffy news. ?
I slept most of yesterday morning and felt wobbly most of the day, so sprayed in. I did make myself eggs florentine for dinner. It is my go-to comfort food, silly really as I’m not that keen on either cheese or eggs!
Dentist this morning, probably a visit to nursing home friend in same village.
Take care of yourselves, ❤️ To those who are poorly or with poorly family,. Carpe diem. ???❤️???

Ashcombe Thu 08-Sept-22 06:17:36

Good morning from a cooler part of la Sarthe with rain forecast soon.

I expect you’re glad to have the endoscopy out of the way, Mick. I hope you soon have some definite news about what has been found and the treatments available. Take things gently today.

Our cleaner/gardener is due this morning. As she is British, this usually entails a download of the latest happenings in her rather alternative lifestyle over extended coffee breaks. In fact one could say she comes mainly for coffee with work breaks in between!

I hope grandMattie is feeling better now and those on their holidays are having the best of times. Have a good day, everyone. ?????

Greyduster Thu 08-Sept-22 06:19:08

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Mick glad that is over for you and hope that last is only a “may”. Hang in there. I had a lovely walk and lunch out yesterday with DD, but on the way home I got caught in a horrendous thunderstorm with fork lightning that seemed to be coming down almost next to the car and then rain so fierce I could hardly see through it to drive! I was shaking when I got home. Hairdressers this afternoon, and more thunder is forecast!
I hope you’re feeling very much better today, GM.
To all who follow, I wish you a happy day.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 08-Sept-22 06:28:23

Good morning all from a very wet East Yorkshire.

Take it easy today Mick keeping fingers crossed for you?

Yesterday I had GD in the afternoon. She played happily for an hour before getting a bit crabby. So in the pram and off for a walk it was and she was fine. She has just started crawling but you can see she’s wanting to be up on her feet.

Today I have to go to the post office and several other chores to do. Then back to the usual GS here after school routine.

Take care everyone.

Susan56 Thu 08-Sept-22 06:30:53

Good morning from Shropshire.

I’m glad you’re feeling well enough to go out today Mick and I echo Greyduster in hoping that the last is a may.

Glad that you are feeling better today grandMattie.

First day of regular childminding today.Playgroup with H this morning then school run to collect DGD later.

Have a good day all???

ginny Thu 08-Sept-22 06:55:57

Good morning.
I’m showered and dressed and almost ready to leave for a 4 day weekend with 7 friends.
Spa day today and then 3 days of crafting, chat and laughter.
This is the 12 th year we have done this and it is always lots of fun.
Wishing all a pleasant day.

Stilllearning Thu 08-Sept-22 07:06:13

An early good morning from S Lanarkshire, I’ve been awake since just after 4am, so have brought a cup of tea back up to bed and going to try for another hour or so. DD4 is staying overnight and I don’t want to disturb her by moving about etc.
I hope this is a one off, I’ve had a good sleep pattern for months now after a prolonged period of broken nights.

Hope things settle down for you Mick and your problems turn out to be not so serious. Good that your procedure is over.

A ‘home’ day today which I’m looking forward to, first post summer book club meeting soon and a little talk about a book of our choice to prepare. I’m still leaving my homework to the last minute so that is one task I hope to tick off!

Wishing everyone a good day???

Beechnut Thu 08-Sept-22 07:16:40

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where we have a grey sky.
I too echo Susan and Greyduster with the May have. Take care while you are out today.

I had some gadding about yesterday and went by my friends a couple of times but her car was not there so I guessed she was out. I then had a mooch around Lidl and bought a small vice.

Today I ought to do some dusting and get the cleaner out.
Have a good day all ??

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Another warm, stormy day. Horribly humid.
Thursday is housework day but there is not a lot to do. I'll probably get to the bottom of the ironing basket, change the bed and hoover. A walk to Aldi for a few bits then cool off in front of the TV.
Love to all ? x

Aldom Thu 08-Sept-22 07:17:10

Hoping for the best for you Mickshamrock. flowers

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Malaga. The sun is just rising and there’s a beautiful rosy tinge on the horizon. No plans for today, will decide later. Himself is still snoozing at present. Thank you for all the good wishes extended to us yesterday.

Mick that was a shock to read. It’s not clear from your post whether a doctor has actually said that to you or whether it’s your own assessment of the situation. I hope it’s the latter. Enjoy your day out and like others, I hope it’s just a ‘may’. I will keep my fingers crossed for you in the meantime.

I’ve been pondering whether or not to get a tiny tattoo when I go home. On the web space between my thumb and forefinger. (Can easily be hidden if I just sit my thumb next to my finger!). I will check out some designs on line today.

I’d like a tiny gecko as my reminder of all the holidays I enjoyed with my mum, her best friend and my aunt. All sadly dead now and I miss them all so much but I have many happy memories of our annual week there together - we did it for 17 years! Plus the 4 generations holiday we all enjoyed there in June to celebrate Himself’s 70th birthday is fresh in my mind & that was wonderful. Hmm. I shall think on it some more yet. There’s a tatt parlour up the road from us at home. He’s supposed to be excellent (been there years) but expensive. I’d only want a tiny one so I think my budget would stretch ....

Morning all

Please try not to worry until you have the results of your endoscopy Mick have an easy day.

Thunder, lightening and heavy rain here in S S Essex late evening yesterday, but it didn’t last for long.

Not sure what today will bring, I have an empty so I might just be a #lazygran

Have your best day folks ?‍♀️?

monk08 Thu 08-Sept-22 07:23:46

Good morning all from another dull day in the Black country, we had heavy rain most of yesterday looks much the same today.
Mick fingers crossed things don't turn out to be to serious ?.
Today I'm 69 so we will meet the family after school for a meal.
In the meantime will star another book.
Welcome any newbies, safe travels those on the move and best wishes anyone celebrating. Virtual hugs where needed, enjoy your Thursday and may you all find some ?.

NannyJan53 Thu 08-Sept-22 07:26:15

Good morning from a cloudy and grey Black Country. Where we had heavy rain showers on and off yesterday. One minute it was sunny and warm, the next a deluge!

Had a lovely long phone chat last night with a friend who lives in Lincs. We must have chatted for 90 minutes. I really miss her living near and our meet ups. I hope to visit for a weekend soon. My last planned visit in May had to be abandoned as I had Covid.

Off over to Mums this morning. Then we are heading into Wolverhampton to meet DS for lunch. He mainly works from home, but has meetings today, so taking this opportunity to catch up with him.

Then Mum has a Spec Savers appointment for her NHS hearing aids. Audiology in town didn't have an appointment available until next year shock

Hopefully have chance to mooch around the shops, although not a lot now as Debenhams, Beatties etc have closed.

Best wishes to all feeling unwell

NannyJan53 Thu 08-Sept-22 07:27:38

Crossed posts! Happy Birthday monk have a fabulous day flowers

I am 69 in just over a week!

Grandmadinosaur Thu 08-Sept-22 07:30:26

Happy Birthday Monk enjoy your family meal ???

PollyDolly Thu 08-Sept-22 07:32:23

Good morning from an overcast East Midlands. We must have had some significant rain overnight as all the rooftops etc are very wet.
We are venturing out this afternoon as the TOB will pass through our community and we are going to cheer them on.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care in all you do.

Gingster Thu 08-Sept-22 07:32:25

Good morning all and what a short sharp storm we had last night. Lots of lightning , a few claps of thunder, torrential rain but all over in under 10 minutes.

I’ve been awake since about 3, couldn’t get back to sleep so was up at 5.45.

I went with DD to pick up little gd from school. Mum hadn’t told her about the Beauty and the Beast show. When she got in the car she saw her B and the B dress. Her face was a picture ‘Oh my goodness - are we going to the show? She changed from her uniform and I dropped them off at the coach stop.
I hope all went well and they had a great time. ?

Today Dh is going out with his tennis friends for breakfast and he’s dropping me at my old pals for a coffee. They have played tennis together for 30 years and one of them has dropped out due to his Parkinson’s . He carried on as long as he could . ?.

*Mick I hope your tests results aren’t as bad as you fear. ?

ginny have a great time with your friends. It sounds wonderful. ?

A pleasant day to all ?

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 08-Sept-22 07:33:23

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Commiserations to those with health problems. I have to type up the minutes from last night’s WI meeting and circulate them. I am getting low on petrol - the cheapest garage in the area is a couple of miles away away so I’ll do that. Elder son, his partner and my granddaughter are coming after school tomorrow to stay over. I need to plan a menu, sort out their room etc. We haven’t seen them since July as they’ve been in Barbados for the summer. Of course I’ve always got bits of ironing to do and maybe a bit of baking. At lease I’m up to speed with homemade ice cream!

Urmstongran Thu 08-Sept-22 07:35:40

Many happy returns of the day to you monk! I’d have been in the same school year then as you & NannyJan - except that, as in the school days, Beechnut and I would, being August birthdays have just ‘caught you up’ on age during the school summer holidays only to return to school in September and everyone was being the next number up!

BlueBalou Thu 08-Sept-22 07:39:14

Happy birthday Monk, have a lovely day! ??
Fingers crossed Mick that things aren’t as serious as you fear.
A wet start here and I have every intention of being a #lazygran for a few days too GrannyGravy once I have finished tidying the downstairs and cleared the ironing pile ?
It’s a wet start here so soggy dog walk shortly- I am definitely not complaining about the rain, it’s so refreshing.
Have a lovely day everyone x

Urmstongran Thu 08-Sept-22 07:40:33

Did you get your liver function test results LLFL the other day? I know you were anxious about them.

baubles Thu 08-Sept-22 07:44:55

Good morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

I hope the result of your test is not what you think Mick and that you don’t have too long to wait to find out.

Off to the capital today to see DS and family. We’ll collect one from nursery and one from school and probably have a coffee in between times.

Happy birthday monk, enjoy your day.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Gala Thu 08-Sept-22 07:45:26

Good morning from a damp Sefton. Still big puddles underfoot from yesterdays monsoonlike downpour.
We had a lovely lunch with our friends in a country pub. It was very busy....the food is good. Torrential rain on the way home which unfortunately got to my washing before I did. It's still out on the line, think I will ignore it for the time being & hope it dries before the next forecasted downpour. However the garden's looking a lot perkier.
Zumba Fitness this morning with real people. Zoom has been a godsend but a real life class is so much more fun than prancing round your lounge/kitchen/wherever on your own. Although the dog often tries to join in.
Hoping for some positive news for Mick.
Take care all.
