Good morning from a sunny Mallorca, 26 degrees so far, although it is 9.15.
Hope Mick is having a good time in Cromer, a place we’ve always said we would visit but haven’t (yet
We went to Pollensa town yesterday for breakfast, nice to sit and people watch, but very hot, then some food shopping, trying to eat lots of fruit and no bread or cake! Some holiday!
Nothing planned today apart from some pool time when it gets too hot to just sit.
Granmattie lovely quilt -you do it so quickly, it takes me ages to do.

Good morning and it’s a lovely autumn start here in Essex.

Oh no, I’m in trouble! Dh asked me to wake him at 7 as he has a work party at his fishing club. He even left me a note! I forgot and was busy on Gransnet when he called down to me at 7.45. He is not a happy ? and has gone off in a huff! ?.

We had a lovely day with eldest and youngest gd’s and other family members yesterday. It’s eldest’s last year at Uni - where have those two years gone! She said she might do another specialist course to add to her degree next year. (Mental Health Nursing) so will be in demand! ?

I’ve put my slow cooker on for a warming stew later after said fishing work party. ?.
I’ve used my new air fryer all week so fancied a bit of a change, as my main oven still isn’t fixed.

We travelled home from France yesterday so have enjoyed a lie in and and spent too long drinking tea in bed!
I was so happy to see our garden, I’m looking forward to spending time next week tidying up as everything has grown like crazy.
Lots of aubergines and tomatoes ready for picking, some figs too.

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Yesterday was lovely, eight of us had lunch in a private room in a restaurant which made conversation much easier.
GD brought her birthday cake and we enjoyed it with a glass of champagne.
SIL will visit this afternoon, we will sort some paperwork and then have dinner together.
I see my lovely neighbour has returned from her outer Hebrides holiday, it is a good nine or ten hours drive and she does it every year by herself.

DD and DGD1 are here and it is lovely to have other people in the house, however briefly. Lots of chat about DGD1’s time in the States and a trip to Bath for a bit of pre-university shopping was worthwhile so I have caught up with her and with DD whose broken arm is healing well.

More chat this morning and then I will take them to the station after lunch. Have much appreciated their visit and will be sad when they go.

A quiet day yesterday just pottering.

Today we are going for lunch with the family and I have to make a start on prep and packing for our holiday later in the week. My heart isn’t in it really. There is also a Proclamation of the King in the square here this afternoon which I’d like to see.

I had a lovely visit with DGDs and DD yesterday. Played with GD1 she’s so imaginative. I was dressed like a princess at one point head to toe in sparkle.
We went into town to pick up our I Pad which they repaired but they couldn’t charge it back up. Not sure we’ll get it back it looks like more damage was done than we thought.
Today I want a day of no real thinking lol to give my brain a rest. I only have to walk to our friends to pick our car up later and cook a little Sunday lunch for the two of us. Nothing too taxing there.

I'm having a very lazy day. I tested +ive for covid yesterday so have to self isolate. I am not feeling too bad but very tired.

Good morning all from misty Galloway, where Mr. B and I have been enjoying several days of warm autumn sunshine. Internet access is intermittent, which was actually quite enjoyable as it made us get up and about!

Good morning Everybody from a bright Carlisle.

I did a little shopping yesterday morning then went home via the garden centre as I was wondering if they would have a particular conifer tree I wanted. They didn't but I still came out with a trolley full of other plants. I did get my monthly 'free' coffee from them though!
Some of those plants went in the garden after lunch. I also investigated my main crop potatoes, they are a disaster, mostly riddled and hollowed out by slugs. They were a specialty potato, Shetland Blue, they are a beautiful marbled purple inside and stay like that when steamed. I won't bother next year.
Today, a bit of gardening if forecast rain holds off long enough and a pile of papers need reading.

Good morning all from a now sunny 13deg. in Glasgow, another pleasant day in store which all helps to get my mojo going and allows me to finish of some painting jobs on my list outdoors. DH will be watching Formula 1 later but I will give it a miss to take advantage of such a pleasant day.

Good news from DD2, her house insurers are now dealing with their case re. flood damage. A huge relief for her as they continue with their plan to do what is necessary before they leave Australia.

Good morning, all GNs, and Michael in absentia (or Cromer, maybe!). Another latecomer here. I stayed at DDs last night and she encouraged a lie in this morning and has just brought me coffee! I took them out to dinner last night to our favourite restaurant, very busy as usual but the owner and the staff can’t do enough for you. It was all delicious. Today I will do a food shop on the way home and put my mind to applying on line for a new driving licence before I forget about it altogether and it runs out!
GM that quilt is going to be a cracker. You’re very clever!

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
I had a slothful day yesterday after a busy week and finding it hard to get going, still have a slightly off stomach but have a letter from the General Surgery unit to say an appointment will be forthcoming for which frightens me to death?
Have a friend arriving later, staying over, but feel half hearted about it. Out of the habit of being entertaining. Not sure what we will do. It’s made me tidy up anyway. Will probably go out for a meal tonight.

I’m busy catching up with washing and sorting after a trip to Anglesey. The weather there was good on the whole, with much of the rain happening through the night. Our first visit there, and enjoyed it very much. In the past, we’ve stayed on the mainland.

Good morning all. I hope you're enjoying your Cromer mystery trip, Mick. The Queen's cortege is leaving Balmoral and is scheduled to make a short stop at the Castle in the little town just a few miles inland from here. I was so hoping the sun would shine for her final trip through Scotland, but thick mist has descended once again. Still, she was very familiar with that sort of weather in the hills around Balmoral .......
I spent a lovely couple of hours yesterday having lunch with Dancing DGD and DGD3 and my niece. It was The Dancer's treat to us all which was so sweet of her (I did manage to get her to take a small discreet contribution though - students don't have that much money!) She was a perfect young hostess too and as usual I felt so proud of her.
What a beautiful quilt Grandmattie, you talented lady.
The sun is trying very hard to break through the mist now, so I must away and get something done (though precisely what I know not). Several texts from DS1 while I've been typing this, who is holidaying in Crete at the moment - the former Scots Guardsman in him is regretting being out of the country at this time!

Good morning all.it’s a sunny clear morning here in the Algarve.

I realised yesterday as we had our Saturday lunch out at Bette’s, with their television ( all but the most expensive restaurants here have TV on all the time) streaming out English news, that Bette, a nickname and Carlos her husband were actually Elizabeth and Charles in English, I don’t know why it never dawned on me before.
