Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but remains dry here in brackley this morning , but could be cold outside .
Today , I will go to Bicester hopefully via Buckingham ,and have a breakfast bap in the bakery cafe before a small shop need some ready made mash , and onion gravy as I plan to have faggots with mushy peas at some point .
Yesterday , I ended up to talking to someone in the supermarket who knew many years ago, from work , chatted and she left but would have liked to have chatted more , see if we meet again , then hopefully maintain contact .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick good to meet up with old friends, enjoy your day.
Temp has dropped to 23 degrees, storms and rain lashed us yesterday afternoon and overnight, but a nice sunny evening was spent out under the terrace, sun is trying to come out but more storms are forecast, nice to be cooler though.
We will take a drive out later, some parts of Mallorca are flooded so we will see how far we get.
Granmattie a lovely sock! You are clever, I remember my Aunties knitting socks for their husbands and sons, my Mum knitted the whole ( very large) family baby clothes and later for me and my girls.
Marydoll I hope you start to feel better soon, I do worry about you.
Hope everyone has a good day, stays warm and safe.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where we have a glorious start to the day. The sun is shining and I can see the Pennine Ridge.

I have a mani/pedi appointment at the salon round the corner in an hour. I’m just enjoying my tea and toast before I get ready. Babysitting duties this evening while their parents go out for a meal here in Urmston.

Enjoy Saturday all who can.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a blue sky but rather chilly South Yorkshire. I hope you get to meet your friend again, Mick. The Brian Cox show at the Arena here last night was very good. If you get the chance to see it be prepared for A LOT of science. Even if you didn’t fully understood the science, and judging from listening to comments in the crowd on the way back to the car park, very few of us did, the graphics were jaw dropping and achingly beautiful. It made our little world, and our entire universe, feel very small and insignificant.
Not sure what I will be doing when I get home from DD’s where I have spent the night. I have been given a large bag of bramley apples so I may prepare them for the freezer. Bramleys seem to have been in short supply in supermarkets here recently.
Welcome Wyllow - another South Yorkshire lass, I see!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a dull and chilly Black Country.

It was certainly chillier last night, but we managed without putting the heating on!

Finish off packing today, and hopefully fit in a gym visit this morning. A meal out this evening with some of the family (2 are working). Early birthday meal as I will be away on the day.

Hope your scan goes well LLFL Glad to hear your DD is in good spirits Gingster despite still feeling unwell.

Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Forgot to say. Welcome to Wyllow

Greyduster that sounds right up my DH street. He already talks my head off about space and the universe especially when he’s had a few drinks.

Good morning from a glorious Durham. Ice blue sky, little cloud but windy. DGS1 was 5 yesterday, so an Italian meal last night and the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to him. It’s his party this afternoon - 30 children, plus parents! I think I shall need a large wine and a lie down later.
DD2’s dog is making progress but it’s difficult to keep him on the floor, as he’s very affectionate and usually allowed up on the sofa. I’ve barricaded the stairs so he can’t go up, but he sits at the bottom and howls if I go up. It’s not an ideal situation and I’ve another 11 days to go.
Lots of medical stuff going on today for some GNs and hospital visiting too. I hope everyone has the outcome they hope for.
Special thoughts for MaryD finding things tough at the moment.

Good morning from a sunny but cool NE.
Sister and BIL visited yesterday and made for a pleasant afternoon.
I spent the evening cooking meals for freezing.
DS and family will visit this afternoon.
Lovely sock grandMattie, as a teenager I used to knit my hiking socks on four needles and really enjoyed it, so satisfying when you create a perfect turned heel.
Have a good weekend.

Loving the sock GM
Haven't read through yet up late this morning, will catch up after usual full English.
Good luck to those having tests etc and hope all appointments go well.
Have a lovely Saturday everyone and may you all find some ?.

Good morning all from sunny but very cool South Lanarkshire.
What a gorgeous start to Autumn we’ve been having.

Hairdresser appointment this morning, we are going to a fortieth birthday party this evening so decided to treat myself to a blow dry.

I’ll make a big pot of soup later which will feed us and DD’s crowd when they come over tomorrow.

Take it easy MD.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Apart from my flu jab in the next village this afternoon, it’s a quiet day for me.
Hester morning produced an acrylic seascape but I’m not entirely happy with it, who is with stuff they create? Then on to run through of songs with my little band. We have too many and need to decide on the final set. After that I went on to the nail salon and more acrylics! Only have them as I have a bad nervous picking fingers habit and can’t do it with acrylics. Hate going and wouldn’t bother otherwise. Woman next to me said how much she enjoyed these pamper treats, not me..

Hope scan works out well LLFL, thoughts to Gingster and chance meetings can be fun Mick!

hollysteers Sat 17-Sept-22 09:47:14

Yesterday morning ?

Blossoming Sat 17-Sept-22 10:12:38

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s sunny in this corner of Lancashire today and there’s a nip in the air.

No real plans for today, we had a late night so will not be doing anything too demanding!

Good luck with the scan today Ladyleftfieldlover. Thoughts to all with troubles and sadness.

Good morning all from a sunny but chilly south Hants

Despite fleecy jumper and trousers I cannot get warm ?! If it continues like this I may have to resort to putting the log burner on! No plans apart from taking DDog for his walk and hoovering. A lazy day - although I had a good sleep (helped no doubt by the family meet-up at our local last night, along with some alcohol - only 2, I promise!), I still feel tired!
Hopefully the dog walk will help … if not then I’ll succumb to sleep in front of the fire ??

Have the best day you can everyone. Thinking of those that are unwell and/or struggling ??
Hugs and ?? for you all x

Good morning all, such a lovely sunny day again in Glasgow with a nip in the air now summer is over.

Love you cozy and colourful socks GM. We were taught to knit socks with four needles at primary school, so long ago, I doubt if I could master it again
Fingers crossed for favourable results Llfl
When we bought this house a good bit of work was needed but top of my list was underfloor heating in bathrooms. An extra boon now that nightly loo visits are the norm. Rest up today MD especially as you are feeling so unwell, look after yourself.

An at home day ahead foutering about doing whatever.

Best wishes for a good day all.

BlueBalou Sat 17-Sept-22 14:01:57

Belated good morning or a good afternoon to you all from chilly but sunny Wiltshire, it’s a beautiful day here.
So far I have blitzed the kitchen (very pleased with myself!), hung out 2 lots of washing, hoovered through downstairs with my new little vacuum cleaner ( the Shark is too heavy for me), dusted and polished and cooked lunch.
DH walked DDog but I had to go and pick them up because DDog got stung by a wasp? Apparently she was behaving most oddly and DH was worried- she seemed absolutely fine by the time we got home ??
I will do some knitting shortly; I love knitting socks. I think I have done more than 50 pairs now! All colours and sizes, I love knitting them.

Just realised my post has not posted!! Did my rude word "knickers" put folks off?
