Good morning from Essex by the sea where the sun is shining and I think we are to have a warm day.

Gingster I am so glad that your DD is home but what a way to discharge someone !!! I am pleased that her eye is ok.

We are going into town this morning for a few bits then a supermarket shop.

I am meant to be meeting both daughters in London on Saturday for a belated 40th birthday brunch for DD2. She is now 43 but because of covid our meet ups kept getting cancelled. DD1 messaged last night that her MIL is very ill and her husband may have to travel to the Isle of Wight to see her, he is currently in Holland on business. I fear our meet up may never happen. We all live miles apart so not easy to rearrange.

Have a lovely Thursday everyone and enjoy the last days of summer. xx

Good morning everyone from a sunny ?Northampton. Feeling shattered this morning as I hardly slept all night due to terrible heartburn; it must have been the wine I drank last night at our ladies wine evening. We had a bottle of fizz to celebrate an 80th birthday, and then tasted 4 different wines. It seemed a lot after my usual tiny glass of an evening. Nothing seemed to ease it, but thank goodness it has now worn off.

Must shake a leg, though, as Sainsbury's will be delivering shortly, then it's an early lunch, followed by tap and ballet classes. This evening it will be our last evening walk, as the nights are now drawing in.

Wishes to all for a good Thursday.

Good morning from a sunny Pollensa

I really need to get home, I have things to do! But we have another few days here, for me 3 weeks is too long now that we are both retired. I think MrOops agrees. It was different when he was working long hours, but this is the cancelled trip from 2020! ( although that one was in the Canary Islands). I’m sure the cold weather at home will remind me why we booked 3 weeks.

Mike if you are on the 2 week pathway then maybe a phone call would be useful to remind them and get you an earlier appointment?
Granmattie as you say others have been sympathetic but you are the only one who has offered to help. It’s a big undertaking though, I’m due to look after MisOops when she has her other knee done in October and that is scary enough and I know she will be up and around quite quickly, so look after yourself as well.
I’ve heard about patients being put into taxis from hospital in the middle of the night, how lucky your DD had you to come home too, it’s shocking.
Hope everyone has something to smile about today. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a reasonably bright South Yorkshire. I woke up at some ridiculous hour in the night and couldn’t get back to sleep but must have nodded off again around half five, so I’m late coming on here. I intend to sort some of DH’s stuff out today, not it get rid of it yet but just to make more space in the wardrobes. Other than that and a small shop for veg, it will be a quiet day.
Gingster I’m appalled at the way your DD was discharged, but sadly it’s not the first time I’ve heard of it. It’s completely callous.
Wyllow I hope your neck pain is better soon.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning Mick and everyone from dark rainy Carlisle.
I went and ordered a small freezer for my garage yesterday and it will come tomorrow. Whilst at the store, I remembered I wasn't far from a large garden centre. I'm still looking for a certain tree for the garden so I thought I might as well go and check if they had something suitable. Like the last garden centre they didn't-wrong time of year really-but I did manage to come away with rather a lot of spring bulbs that I thought I 'needed'! I won't be making a start on them today, the rain is due to last till evening.
I'll be getting on with the ironing and some admin plus a Tesco delivery is due shortly.

Best wishes to your daughter, Gingster, I hope she gets on well now.
Have the best possible day all.

Good morning from a bright W Kent. Off to art group to catch up on the gossip.
I have heard similar stories before Gingster, my mum was discharged at 10.30 at night after we had been told she would definitely be kept in and that was years ago.
gM what a kind friend you are.
Seems to be a lot of heartburn and reflux today!
Best wishes to all

Good morning from a dull Durham. I’ve had two weeks rushing around like a blue ar*ed fly and sleeping on the sofa with DD2’s poorly dog on the floor along side - he has back trouble. Pulled in two ways today as I’d agreed to take a single friend to the airport for a flight then another friend asked if I could take her to a last minute hospital appointment. I can’t be in two places at once, so the airport won as my other friend has family and able to make alternative arrangements. DD2 lives near the airport, so I’ll pop in and check on her house, as she’s away.
Annoying that you’re being messed about Mick.
At least your DD’s home Ginster and with good news too - albeit not the best discharge!
gM you deserve a medal like a dustbin lid! (A local saying).
Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cloudy in this corner of Lancashire today.

We are going out for a drive in the country and a pub lunch today.

I’m glad your daughter is home Gingster but what a palaver!

You’re not a fool GrandMattie, you have a kind and generous nature.

Have a good day all ???

Good morning all from a rather wet Glasgow. Sharing the same weather as you Topsy, lovely to see you posting.

Yesterday was my first Pilates class, thankfully it was a one to one as there is so much to remember, especially when to breathe but what a wonderful experience. I left the class feeling rejuvenated, with a very different mindset regarding what I thought was an ailing body, far from it. I will be going twice weekly until I am au fait with the different positions.

Of course your DD will be glad to be home Gingster but to be turfed out as she was is appalling. My best wishes she makes a speedy recovery.
A very kind gesture towards your friend GM. It sounds like a lot to take on so please look after yourself too.

Hoping a good day is ahead for all.
