Sorry everyone, can’t hold a lot in my head at the moment. It’s full of friends and family ‘stuff’ that isn’t mine but must be given space. Not as resilient as I usually am. A friend beset with difficulties used to say it’s only one of life’s custard pies, this time I didn’t duck quickly enough. Must practice ducking.

Hello everyone! I have beeN keeping up with the news but too rushed to post. for Corner - I hope you can settle those thoughts.
Gg I hope the tummy bug has gone and the chicken pox doesn’t spread.
We had friends to stay, who we met on the playground in 1991 and from whom we inevitably drifted apart with time. It was as if it was yesterday. Not a single awkward silence! The two boys spent yesterday exploring the Air Museum at Duxford while we girls went to the Quilt Show. Spent too much but had great fun! Even better, it’s raining today so I can sew instead of gardening and the house is tidy!
After all the talking and walking we were very late waking this morning.

I've cleaned the cupboards in this one in readiness I'm just back from visiting dd and the boys. They were dressed up as Batman and a baby bat and were so cute. Dgs1 has been learning a "knock knock" joke ready for tomorrow. Dgs2 will smile at everyone instead. I'm having steak casserole for dinner and I'll make a pineapple upside down cake for afters. Hello everyone. It’s always good to hear news of your weekends! My elder son and his family and my daughter have gone back to London. It was lovely to see them all. They spent the morning carving a pumpkin for hallowe’en, which we never really bothered with. Son’s partner was brought up in the USA so it’s a big thing with her. After an enormous lunch (not one but two chickens and all the trimmings, and our favourite chocolate soufflé which doesn’t sink), we sort of collapsed for an hour or so! I am looking forward to watching Stanley Tucci tonight and maybe Antiques Road Show.

Good afternoon dear kitcheners - did we all enjoy an extra hour in bed?? 💤💤 I met my friend for breakfast this morning and then had a bit of catch up TV and knitting this afternoon. Today nine years ago today was my first meeting with Mr BA and the rest, as they say, is history 💗💗. He has bought Maverick Top Gun 2 for us to watch tonight - we saw it at the cinema on our wedding anniversary in May. Hope you all enjoy what's left of Sunday and sending gentle hugs to all in need of a little comfort. TOYA 🌷

We've enjoyed a happy afternoon catching-up with friends. I am ready to slip into my pj's and fluffy dressing gown.

Our new kitchen is almost ready. We have a few extra luxuries to look forward to. I shall tell you more when the time comes.

Have yourselves a pleasant and peaceful evening. Time to light the log fire and shut out the darkness.

I thoroughly enjoyed the extra hour. Sweetie Pie (feral cat) was in the apartment/den. As soon as the blinds were opened, out he dashed and was settled in the utility room for breakfast number one. Several others followed. Mr Soop counted a total of five.

Hi all, very lazy day here, slept for nine hours last night, that set the trend. My daughter popped in with the children after yomping through the woods, good to catch up in their busy lives. Christmas plans were discussed and firmed up, we don’t mind who comes when, just like to know!
What a happy picture Baggs, I must take more photo’s, so often you’re just enjoying the company it gets forgotten.
Hoping for relief for corner and GG very soon and of course all of you who are ‘under the weather’, an odd turn of phrase!

Am really looking forward to getting my new glasses tomorrow, everyone who’s been looking at my visual impairments has agreed they should help with some of the issues.

Er. I could be wrong Urms but I think the lady on the left is actually Baggs friends son (many apologies if it is a lady) I’m pretty sure Baggs is the lovely lady in the middle.

Sorry Urms my dyslexia brain sometimes takes things to literally. In the middle of the night when I woke up to pop to the loo, I suddenly realised you meant the lady on the left ( as you said) and not the person on the left. I must take more water with it. 😊

I guessed that was your daughter Bagga as you mentioned she was with you. I was rather concerned after Doodle’s post as I thought my eyes must be worse than I thought . I’m off into the city centre shortly to collect my new glasses, will return later.

Piddling with rain and windy with it. A day for hunkering down and doing something remotely useful. I haven't made up my mind how useful.

Mr Soop's 82nd birthday on Thursday. Making reservation for a leisurely and scrummy lunch the following day. I constantly ask...what would you like for a gift? Same answer...nothing. I have all that I need. In fact, he still has an Amazon token gifted to him on his last birthday. He is a darling man.

A very quiet day in our kitchen. I am about to log off until tomorrow. Wishing you all a fond farewell. Back with you again tomorrow.

Hello Soop, I have been to collect my lovely new glasses, I’m finding reading easier but trying not to spend too much time online.

I thought I might be popping into a new kitchen tonight! How is it I'm completely exhausted when I've done so little?? 😭😭 I have, however, booked our next adventure on the Norfolk Broads ⚓️🚤⛵️ - we've really caught the bug!!
