When should you take down greetings cards?

We were married on my birthday. So every year we have a double lot of greetings cards.
This year we had a family gathering and so have more than usual.
My usually uncluttered lounge is very cluttered and I would like to take them down. DH wants to keep them up.
At Christmas we have 12th night but just how long should you display other cards?

Two weeks. And then I cut them up for lovely labels so as not to waste them.

When I get fed up with them - I'm turning into my mother whi didn't like lots of cards around. Thank goodness people don't send as many at Xmas as they did.

I have limited space to display them so at Xmas I would put cards up when I got them and when the space got full, if we had more cards the older ones would come down - especially ones where I didn't like the picture!!

Mine stay up until I have the urge to take them down. I live alone, so it's my decision. Usually they're up for around 2 weeks, whatever the occasion, but I still have one of last year's Christmas cards on display. It's 3-dimensional, and so beautiful that it will stay indefinitely.
