Is it because PMs don’t come in a standard height? You’d think adjustable lecterns would be available, though.

Have just read that all Prime ministers have their own lecturn for those Downing Street speeches. How ridiculous.
Why can't there just be a standard one???? It's not as if the design will make the bad news (it's usually bad) any better. Just seen a picture of Liz Truss's twisted base lecturn. Mind you that does reflect the way she has had to turn her policies round. Maybe there is a point to themhmm
