Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and dry outside this morning in brackley .
I had a call from my doctor last night as to current situation as to myself , told him how I felt etc at the moment I feel good .
The iron infusion is working that's the main thing.
Today , I want to do a bit of a round robin on the buses going to Bicester , then going a rural route which will take me past HS2 and EWR workings to Buckingham ,then return home from there and maybe have some Fish & Chips along the way.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a wet Black country.
Nothing planned today need to be around in case doctors ring regarding my bloods, nurse did say if I hadn't heard by 4 to ring them.
Loving the photos from Ibiza Grandmadinosaur brings back memories of holidays there.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Friday everyone and may you all find some ?.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Málaga. Another sunshiney day is forecast. Yesterday afternoon we ate down on the marina. I chose sensibly from the menu. The sun was beating down by 2pm I needed sunscreen on my face and arms!

Today I have arranged for a chocolate cake to be delivered to the Boy Wonder and L’l Miss. Lovely to have delicious home-made cake (just not by me ha!) from a company I’ve used regularly over the years. Expensive compared to home baking but it’s packaged and delivered too. The one I’ve chosen comes with 5 tubes of coloured icing so they can decorate it themselves. I sent a Hallowe’en themed card with kisses from grandma and suggested they draw a spooky topping.
??

We are meeting neighbours from the block for dinner at the tapas bar downstairs. They’ve lived out here for over 20 years and hail from Glasgow. It will be nice to spend an evening with them although in the interests of friendship we’ve learned to avoid certain topics over the years!
?

Enjoy Friday all who can. Thinking of you Blossoming today with your eye appointment. You’ll be glad to be t’other side of it soon. x

P.s. the missing wedding ring hasn’t turned up yet. We will have to look for it ‘in the other place’. Fingers crossed.

Good morning from Sefton. As Gala says it’s wet here though the wind has abated.
General pottering and tidying are on my ‘to do’ list plus reading your posts.
Whatever your plans, have the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast. Glad you have more energy Mick.
Art this morning then practice with the band this afternoon, so quite a busy day ahead.
Lovely place Grandmadinosaur, I have had a family holiday every year with DD DS and DGD in Santa Eulalia every year since 2017, the year after my DH died.
I buy my summer clothes there as they are so colourful and stylish as well as the Ibiza scent.
Have a nice day everyone and thoughts to those with troubles.

Good morning from a very dull and wet Black Country.

Going for lunch with DD today as it's half term. Just the two of us without the girls for a change. I don't often have her to myself.

Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone from dark wet Carlisle. I'm not due to go out I'm glad to say. There's nothing I have to do so I shall get on with little jobs here and there then catch up with nicer activities like reading a new book. I'm reminded upthread about cleaning and checking out cupboards so I might do that, I won't be surprised to find some out of date stuff in them.
I got out in the garden yesterday and started finishing off my soakaway, I shall replace the demised shrub from the wet area, the new one will be in a raised area to give it a better chance of survival.
I watched a fascinating film on Shackleton's failed Antarctic expedition. It had a lot of original film footage which graphically showed the appalling conditions they endured. I felt cold in spite of the mild evening and spent the entire film wrapped in my large fleece!

Best wishes to all the poorly and a pleasant day to all.

Good morning all from a soggy S Hampshire, the grass won’t get cut for yet another day. Fridge to be cleaned out in the f/f this morning, pleased my back is much improved.
Our bowls club minutes are like that baubles ‘decision deferred’ is often noted.
Safe journey brook.
Enjoy your day all ??

Good Morning from S Yorks.

Wind, rain, indoors. Just the gym and a GP callback in the afternoon as they've done tests for CFS. Hoping they find "something" not just vague.

I've read all the good mornings with the fascination of the many different lives lived here on gransnet. Lots of sympathy for the troubled, just to say blueBalou that is mega scary the whole of the glass top exploding and what a hassle, and please may I have a magic carpet to the beaches of Ibiza and Malaga for the day? I'll be a very easy guest, just the beach and drinks and super lunch will do fine thank you ....

A late good morning Michael and all GNs from a dreary South Yorkshire where it can’t make its mind up whether to rain or not. I slept like a top last night but woke up feeling as if I’d spent the night stuffed into a box under the bed. My nephew sent me another photo of his premie grandson last night. He even closer to the car park now - out if his incubator and in a cot, making progress every day. He’s beautiful. New life. I told him whenever I was having a bad day I would look at that photo and give thanks for him and all new babies.
Enjoyed my shopping trip yesterday - bought a sweater and some new underwear. Today will be a domestics day.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning all from a soon to be sunny W Kent. Shopping and ironing today and then meeting up at local restaurant with DD, SIL and GC for GD's birthday, how quickly they seem to come round now. DS is now down with Covid so all other weekend events are cancelled. A lot of discussion at art group yesterday of the immigrants landing on the Kent coast. Diptheria has broken out at Manston and by the sound of the diet scurvy will soon follow. None of us had a clue what can be done about it all.
Best wishes to all.

Good morning from a very wet Durham.
I took my friend to the hospital yesterday to discuss her treatment for bowel cancer - treatable, but not curable. She needs some difficult conversations with her family.
DD2 is having her foot wound attended to twice a week, it took 1cm less packing yesterday, but looks absolutely gruesome. She’s very down, missing out on several events she planned to attend with DGS2 over the Halloween weekend. At least he seems fully recovered from his viral throat infection.
DD1 and family due back from holiday today – pictures show they’ve had a good time. I’ve been on fish feeding duty there and left a couple of big pumpkins on the kitchen table.
I need some food shopping, as I have DGS2 here tomorrow and Sunday, but I am looking forward to a lazy day today – I feel as if I haven’t been ‘off the roads’ for a fortnight now.
Best wishes to all for the weekend. X

Good morning everyone from a rather damp Northampton, seems to be a light drizzle out there. So I'm hoping not to get too wet on my usual Friday shopping outing. Which will be when I have stirred myself to get showered and dressed.

Had good tap and dance classes yesterday, we ran through our entire programme for a dance afternoon we are putting on for Children in Need next month. Somewhat bemused to find a completely new (to me) tap sequence had appeared, and frantically tried to keep up! I still cannot remember which foot we start on in any of the sequences!

Nothing else planned for today apart from bus trip to the shops; a home-made curry is thawing in the fridge for tonight, so no cooking apart from rice.

Wishing all a pleasant Friday.

cornergran: my operation should be on Monday (Hallowe’en and my DGD's 10th birthday!) On Wednesday, my surgeon’s secretary told me that there’s a bed shortage due to ‘flu cases. I’ll be contacted if there’s a change in my planned admission for Sunday afternoon. ?

Good morning from a cloudy but warm Essex by the sea.

No real plans today but I'm sure something will materialize.

Have a lovely Friday everyone xx

aggie Fri 28-Oct-22 10:09:39

Good morning everyone from a soggy Co Armagh, a very watery sun is doing it’s best but more wet stuff is forecast .we are going to empty the water butt , the ground under it is so wet that the weight of the full barrel is making it sink and the tap is not accessible, so when it’s empty a base can be made
I might watch things from a safe distance ?

Taichinan Fri 28-Oct-22 10:25:03

Good morning Mick and all from a wet and gusty central Scotland where I'm visiting DD and her Labyrinthitis. She's definitely on the mend now, but will certainly require at least another week off work. She came downstairs for her supper last night which was a big step in the right direction.
My goodness, what an active thread this is this morning! So many things I'd love to respond to, but I feel a bit like the White Rabbit - "I'm late, I'm late!". I'm so used to leisurely mornings which can last until lunchtime but I've got lots to do here before I head back to the coast. My place here will be taken by Dancing GD and her friend while 17-next-week GD3 is off to a party. She has been so amazing all week she certainly deserves her 'time off for good behaviour' ?
Have the best day possible everyone and enjoy whatever the weather throws at you ???

Grannmarie Fri 28-Oct-22 11:14:32

Good morning, Mick and all! Glad to hear that you are feeling good, Mick, enjoy your day out.
Just popping in for a quick ? hello, skies are brightening in North Lanarkshire after overnight rain.
Ash, hoping and praying that all goes well for your operation on Monday, also that all the new babies get home soon to their families.
Grandmadinosaur, your Ibiza photos brought back many happy memories, we were regular visitors to Santa Eulalia since 1997, when we bought the time share. Enjoy the rest of your holidays.
Thinking of all with worries, illness or sorrow. Hope Marydoll is okay.

Hairdresser this afternoon, cut and colour overdue!
Enjoy family meet ups and trips out, take care.

ShazzaKanazza Fri 28-Oct-22 12:00:58

Grannmarie I was just going to say hope Marydoll is ok.I don’t think she came on yesterday either.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 28-Oct-22 12:13:16

I’ve been thinking about Marydoll too. I do hope all is well.

Grannmarie Fri 28-Oct-22 13:28:28

ShazzaKanazza, Ladyleftfieldlover, I noticed that Marydoll didn't post yesterday, but I wasn't sure if she was away or had an appointment.
Hoping and praying that all is well with her.??

jonigirl55 Fri 28-Oct-22 16:04:41

Good morning from northern alberta. It's a cool morning with a beautiful sunrise. Energized for a window washing day!
Woke around 4:30, layer there contemplating this.

In early September, we went hunting with our daughter and her hubby. We have done this before several times. This year however the guys decided that we should haul the equipment and four wheelers and we would then stay in their holiday trailer with them. We discussed bringing our outdoor toilet since we're hunting for 10 days. He told us, I didn't buy an 80,000.00 trailer not to have enough water and Sewer. So, we didnt bring it. We habitually have never flushed pee paper- it helps with less sewage. All of us except him did our jobs in the woods. He blames us for plugging his Sewer. My daughter and I planned the meals together and shared the cost. I stay back mornings so i prepared breakfast and dinner for a prediscussed time. Son in law never ate one of those meals with us. Would not touch anything I made. Sat out every meal on his phone. Even moved when we'd come sit by him with our meal. I was offended and voiced that to my daughter. Now neither will talk to us. She says he has a different eating schedule. Not sure what I should feel. Any suggestions

Jonigirl maybe start a new thread asking for advice? , the morning thread is just for a quick Hello and a brief chat about your day.
