Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and dry outside this morning in brackley .
I had a call from my doctor last night as to current situation as to myself , told him how I felt etc at the moment I feel good .
The iron infusion is working that's the main thing.
Today , I want to do a bit of a round robin on the buses going to Bicester , then going a rural route which will take me past HS2 and EWR workings to Buckingham ,then return home from there and maybe have some Fish & Chips along the way.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dark E Kent.
Not a bad night, but I get a little fed up being wide awake by 0400 most days…
DL had an extra visitor yesterday. She already had someone when the doorbell went. It was our retired bishop’s wife. She had intended taking the train to London but there had been an event and the trains were piling up in Ramsgate. So she came to us instead. A very nice visit.
All the visitors exhausted DL and she was asleep on the sofa earlier than usual..I sorted her out before watchin* a couple of things.
Today, a neighbour is coming to make her a ramp in situ, the cost being wood and one of my coffee and walnut sponges!

I have to take clothes and stuff to the local hospice shop and buy some tulip bulbs.
Carpe diem, dear friends. ?????

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s daronut I don’t hear any wind or rain which is good.

Glad you’re feeling good Mick.

Yesterday was so warm, we’ve had cooler summer days, it was glorious walking in the autumn sunshine.

I attended a parish meeting in the church hall last night, I’m not sure anything was actually decided though. Ah well, perhaps next time.

A quiet day ahead, food shopping and more crochet probably.

Have the best day possible everyone. I’ll come back later to catch up with all the toing and froing.

Naughtyneine Fri 28-Oct-22 07:03:33

Morning Mick and all. Your day out sounds good Mick.... Lots of Autumn colours to see...I love a bus or train trip...Still dark here in West Somerset.. Sounds a bit windy though. The dogs didn't want to go out so that probably means it's rained too. I'm off into town to get the cars MOT done... Then a hunt for cloth jam jar covers. Hope it's a good Friday for you all.

Gala Fri 28-Oct-22 07:03:49

Good morning from a dark & wet Sefton. I can hear rain against the widow & cars splashing past.
Good to hear you are feeling better Mick. Enjoy your bus trip.
A visit to a local market town yesterday. It was market day but not as busy as it usually is probably due to the weather. Lunch out in a country pub - which was busy.
No zoom exercise class this morning. Our instructor still suffering from Covid. Pilates later. That should untangle a few knots.
Take care everyone.

kittylester Fri 28-Oct-22 07:05:52

Good morning all from a very dark and quiet North Leicestershire. There is, apparently, an awful lot of rain coming our way later.

DH is off to the gym, our cleaner is due and the butcher will deliver the meat, but that's all there is going on here today.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Ashcombe Fri 28-Oct-22 07:09:16

Good morning from a mild, dry Torbay.

Yesterday, for a change of scene, I drove to my holiday static at Whiddon Down. I rarely encounter anyone whilst there and so it proved. I spent a few hours there, checking it over and was delighted to note how beautifully clean the last friends had left it. For various reasons, we’ve used it less than usual this year.

Anyway, it's ready for Winter now with water off, taps open (against a freeze), all wardrobes, drawers and room doors open to allow free movement of air, soft furnishings and bedding away from outer walls plus an oil filled radiator left on low. Being on the edge of Dartmoor, it suffers more extreme weather than here on the coast but yesterday it was very pleasant. Needless to say, I slept well!

I had to smile at your comment, baubles (“I’m not sure anything was decided…”) - my feelings about many meetings. Things can be decided but then not implemented, in my experience, too.

I hope everyone has a good day. Good luck with the MOT, Naughtyneine! ?????

ShazzaKanazza Fri 28-Oct-22 07:13:28

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull I’m not sure what it’s doing out but I think it’s mostly dry today.
I was also awake at four grandMattie when DH nudged me in the ribs telling me to turn over as I was snoring. Oh dear lol.

Yesterday with GS was fine he didn’t join in with the activities he looked at me like I was nuts for suggesting he helped Grandad scoop out the pumpkin.
A lovely roast orange veg soup was made for tea with the flesh and a scary pumpkin is ready for the doorstep. Well done DH.
Today I’ve no one needing me so after yoga and possibly the gym I will just potter. I have a lot of clean jars to deliver to a lady who makes delicious Picililli.

Enjoy your Friday if you can and thoughts to those weighed down by stress??

Grandmadinosaur Fri 28-Oct-22 07:15:32

Good morning all from Ibiza. Another lovely day ahead.

I enjoyed our trip yesterday to Santa Eulalia it’s our favourite place here and where we usually stay. It is a working town and as things are winding down more places were open. I went to the perfume shop I usually get a few toiletries from to find she had a sale on. The well known brands of make up were half price. I bought Clinique foundation, concealer, chubby stick and a lipstick €43. Bargain ! Had tapas lunch and a stroll on the front. The family went to San An in the car to see the famous sunset at Cafe del mar.

Today we are taking GS on the glass bottom
boat. This evening we are going back to SE for the closing party at our favourite bar there.

Take care everyone

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dark but I can see the trees blowing in the wind.
Good idea to have gone yesterday to get your static all ready for the winter Ashcombe another job ticked off the list and a change of scenery too.
Today I’m off on the lunchtime flight to Luton and then onto Cambridge to visit DD1 and family for the weekend. DH is staying home looking after our visitors - his eldest son and family, until they travel home on Sunday. We’ve all had a lovely time together and it’s been great catching up with all the news and seeing how tall the children have grown!
Lovely pictures grandmadinosaur thank you
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 28-Oct-22 07:31:21

Morning all

The pesky GC have given me a bug I have a high temperature, shivers and dodgy tummy.

I hope your day is better than mine ?‍♀️?

harrigran Fri 28-Oct-22 07:33:25

Good morning from a mild and damp NE.
Another poor night, 1 am when I went to bed and still took about an hour to fall asleep.
Tidied a kitchen cupboard and renewed shelf paper where I store the bread, so much easier to get rid of crumbs.
My sister is returning from her week away visiting the GC, I hope the pain in her broken hand is getting better. It is very difficult when you injure your dominant hand.
Think I will wash some bedding, it is a bit of a struggle for me with the king size sheets and covers but needs must.
DS and family are off to Thorp Perrow today, I turned down the offer to join them, I am not up to walking around all day at the moment.
Take care and have the best day you can.

BlueBalou Fri 28-Oct-22 07:36:41

Good morning from a damp corner of Wiltshire, I’m enjoying my coffee in bed ☕️
Hairdresser first thing then I need to get petrol and go to the jewellers to pick up the pieces of jewellery that I’ve had altered, I will be able to wear my wedding and engagement rings again!
The lift up top of the cooker spectacularly exploded yesterday when I was cooking lunch, sending pieces of glass everywhere across the kitchen ? Thank goodness no one was in the room.
The cooker’s now completely disconnected but I can’t get a new one delivered until next Wednesday.
I’m away from Sunday to Wednesday so DH will have to manage with the microwave, I’m sure he won’t starve!
I hope today goes well for you all x

Gingster Fri 28-Oct-22 07:37:29

Good morning all and I’m up early. It was pitch dark but now the sky is a picture of crimson, purple, orange, grey, blue with the impending sunrise, over the sea. Heavenly!

Yesterdays news was the birth of a great niece. Leonie Maria. Such a pretty name. They live in the Netherlands so it will be a while before I meet her.??.

We walked in the forest and gathered sweet chestnuts to roast in the wood burner. Usually the squirrels beat us to it but we left plenty for them. It was so warm and no need of jumpers or coats.

A dead seal has been washed up on the beach, poor thing . I wonder if anyone will come to take it away. I can’t bear to watch it being pecked at by the seagulls and crows.

We stripped wallpaper in the afternoon. The very old walls need a lot of attention. Boy do I ached today. ! Hopefully finish today, ready for the plasterer to have a look.

Dh got the sit-upon mower going. He thought the starter motor had gone, but he rocked it about a bit and voila! He also fixed a seat belt in the car that wouldn’t click in. He’s no DIY er but always has a go.

Hoping you all have a ‘good’ day. ???

karmalady Fri 28-Oct-22 07:42:47

Good morning from s somerset. It sounds very windy right now but may well be sunny later, washing is on via a timer. I have some lengths of fabric to pre-wash

Kefir-making jars came yesterday, I need to make room. Thinking cap on as I want them in a kitchen cupboard. Small kitchen so I will have to juggle for space

Stubbed toe yesterday, strapped for 24 hours so far, arnica taken and feels much better. Still need to treat with tlc in case of a break.

Grammaretto Fri 28-Oct-22 07:43:00

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 12° and quiet.
I took a photo of my hollyhocks still blooming, yesterday.
It's probably climate change and abnormal but very pretty.
I was given a spare ticket by a total stranger, to South Pacific yesterday for the Festival Theatre. It was excellent.
I thought of gMattie and others who are so kind.
Today I must brave city traffic and drive DMiL to her son's for the weekend.
Hope the twins are home now Abitbatty
Have as good a day as possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Fri 28-Oct-22 07:43:51

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12°. It's still pitch dark here but it looks dry.
You are well organised Ash with preparing your caravan for winter. Mick I'm glad you are feeling better. Harrigran I cleaned all the upper kitchen cupboards yesterday and threw out lots of out of date stuff! Brook safe journey.
Yesterday I was busy cleaning. I got all the windows and glass cleaned then tackled the kitchen cupboards. I sorted the upper ones and reorganised them. Then at night I went to a pumpkin painting class. It was fun. I met up with a friend who was there with her daughter.
Today I have a chiropodist appointment and then I'll tackle the rest of the kitchen cupboards. Nothing else is planned. Filled pasta shells for dinner. Have a good day all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 28-Oct-22 07:47:31

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Elder son and family should be arriving today at some point. I’ve still got to sort out their room. I’ve no idea what the weather is like today as I’m still in bed! But, when I get up I need to sort out menus for the weekend - daughter is coming tomorrow - and maybe do some food prep. At least the house is clean and tidy as our cleaners came yesterday. I hope Mr Sunak is sending a representative to that very important conference in Cairo. Surely the future of the planet trumps anything else?

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 28-Oct-22 07:49:11

Good morning all from curtains closed Harrogate. Probably an unpleasant day
Glad you are feeling so good Mick. Make the most of it.
Your photos are lovely Grandmadinasaur. Enjoy your stay.
Good that you got your static sorted for winter Ashcombe
I have nothing planned today. There are two meetings I could go to, but without my hear aid, it’s pointless. I have a bit more to sort out on my MacBook which last night refused to send emails! I also have to sort Sainsburies out. They confirm next weeks order, then tell me it hasn’t gone through. The same for my Christmas order which is getting further and further away from Christmas.
Have the best day possible folks

Pittcity Fri 28-Oct-22 07:52:42

Good morning from Colchester where the sun is rising on a warm, dry day. 19° forecast and it's the end of October.
We have 2 DGS overnight, so I need to sort bedding and food this morning. DH will have laundry from his latest fishing trip so I'll be kept busy.
Love to all ? x

Beechnut Fri 28-Oct-22 07:56:19

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s raining. That sounds a beautiful sunrise Ginster.

Shopping for me today. I did pop into Lidl yesterday to get a few bits. I’m undecided as to whether to do most of my shopping there. The raspberries I bought were poor I found out this morning when I opened them.

Yesterday a bird flew into a bedroom window. He must have stunned himself quite badly. He eventually walked across the
porch roof when I opened a window and stayed for hours in the same place. He had gone when I went to bed.

Good wishes to all ?☂️

ginny Fri 28-Oct-22 07:56:21

Good morning everyone. It still looks quite dark here in N.Bucks and the is a bit of a breeze.
Today I have an appointment a for a couple of x-rays at the hospital.
Must get some petrol and I need some tiny pins for a project. Of all the ‘stuff’ in my craft room, I don’t have those.
A cake to make this afternoon and crafting this evening.
Wishing all a good day especially those with illness and worries.

cornergran Fri 28-Oct-22 08:00:59

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is dry after overnight rain.

Felt quite dispirited after yesterdays surgery meeting, it’s part of a huge group which does rather dictate. In spite of some enthusiastic, caring and talented staff the loss of control has been damaging. New fridge freezer arrives this afternoon. I’m unreasonably pleased. First job today is to empty the old one, defrost and dry so it can be taken away. We’ve had some strange meals for a couple of weeks while running down the freezer part.

You sound much more energised, mick, good to hear. A satisfying day yesterday ash. How long now until your surgery? I should do our cupboards harri, will I? Not so sure. Congratulations on the birth of your great niece gingster. That sounds scary bluebalou, pleased no one was hurt.

Get well wishes grannyg and to all who are poorly. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 28-Oct-22 08:05:38

Good morning everyone from a wet and windy Oxfordshire, nothing much to do today except to remake beds after MzOops and MasterOops visit.

Then to chemist to collect prescriptions and that’s it.

Curry tonight so no cooking and all is right with my world. In the no cooking way anyway.

Have a good everyone

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 28-Oct-22 08:09:35

A good day!
Sorry but the phone keeps ringing with an automated voice telling me that various parts of our New Contract is being connected. I don’t care, just stop ringing and waking the others up…….made me jump and miss a word off.
