Good morning from a dark E Kent.
I have been in touch with Ash. The poor woman was almost at the hospital when she received a phone call saying no bed was available, but they would collect her an hour ago - the procedure was still on the cards.
DL and I had a quiet day yesterday. But to my surprise we had a visit from our friendly local haberdasher and her husband, to collect her ironing. She broke her arm playing football and when she said she needed to find someone to iron, I offered to do it.
One of DL’s friends is coming to get her and test the ghastly ramp this afternoon. I might go and visit my friend in the nursing home - or not. She needed cash and I took her some on Saturday, stopping briefly. I’ll probably enjoy my afternoon off…
Take care everyone, especially our dear Marydoll. Carpe diem. 🦩🦩🦩❤️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a still dark South Yorkshire. I hope to goodness it is going to be drier than it was yesterday when we had a deluge of biblical proportions just as I was picking up my strange car. Nothing to do but fly by the seat of my pants. At least I know the wipers are good! DD and her menfolk came for a late roast dinner and GS was obviously making up for just having spent four days under canvas living on boil in the bag rations! I asked him to change the time on the clock in my conservatory and he took it down and put it back without needing to stand on anything - even grandad couldn’t do that! Where has my baby gone?
Nothing planned but cleaning today and a short walk to stretch my legs.
I hope they manage to get Ash sorted today - very frustrating.💐
Have the best day you can folks.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Dark and damp here.

Fingers crossed for Ash that she is now at the hospital and her op goes ahead.

The people of Kent are going to miss you when you move Mattie.

I’ve another day of pottering and some admin. I will hopefully read my book. I’m not enjoying it and am flitting through it really.

Have a good Monday all 🌸

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’ve been awake since 5 am as I went to bed at 8.30 pm with a migraine! Lots of laundry today. Mainly bedding from our visitors over the weekend. Shopping too as they ate us out of house and home! I need to replenish the ice cream store as there’s barely any left - just a smidgeon of strawberry. Lemon, caramel and chocolate are the current favourites. I hope you all have a good day. 🌺🌺🌺 for Ash and Marydoll.

grandMattie Mon 31-Oct-22 06:44:27

Just heard from Ash. She’s in a chair waiting for her procedure. Think of her at 11.00; send healing vibes, please. ❤️

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 31-Oct-22 06:45:55

Good morning from a dry Oxfordshire, the birds are singing which is always so good to hear.
Quick visit to the Chemist to collect my Prescription, I’ll see if they can do my Flu jab at the same time. MissOops wants to come along for the ride so I’ll have to slide her into the back of the car.
Part from the usual bed changing and cleaning through today that’s it.
Hope Ash gets her bed in Hospital and that all goes well.
GM you are a star!
Marydoll good to see you posting again, rest and get well.
have a good day everyone and let’s hope the sun shines.

dragonfly46 Mon 31-Oct-22 06:49:38

Good morning from a blustery Leicestershire.

Will have to try and get an appointment at the vet this morning as the dog is limping quite badly. Why do things always happen on my watch?

I hope Ash made it to the hospital. Thank you for the news Mattie. I am beginning to think you are a saint!
Hoping Marydoll feels better and all those with worries have a better day.

dragonfly46 Mon 31-Oct-22 06:50:11

Will do Mattie.

Grammaretto Mon 31-Oct-22 06:54:34

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Dry so far.
I was unable to buy advanced train tickets due to the uncertainty of rail strikes but Edinburgh was looking lovely and I enjoyed my day out.

gMattie so you take in ironing as well!
You astound me in a good way

So sorry Ash is on standby for her op. Fingers crossed 🤞for her.
I have an early chiropractor appointment and volunteering later.
I never have Halloween "guisers" as it's far too spooky walking down to my door.shock

GrannyGravy13 Mon 31-Oct-22 06:56:10

Good morning from a damp East Yorkshire. What a difference from the last week 😕

Sending good wishes for Ash but what a worry that she could do without as to if it was going ahead.

Today I have holiday washing, post etc to sort. Also hair appointment and prescription to collect. I suspect we may get a visit later from two little trick or treaters so I must buy some treats in for them. When we were away DIL asked me if I would mind GD for a few hours a week as she is starting a OU course. I’m annoyed that she’s known about it for a while and pounced it on me last minute. Not only that but I really don’t want to feel tied by this as well as fitting it round everything else I do. Also at a time when DH and I will possibly have more time to do things together that we didn’t have time for. I feel guilty though if I say no as we already have GS after school but he’s easy really to look after and GD is not an easy baby. Decisions, decisions.

Take care everyone.

Good morning everyone. A day a home for me. A bit of housework and some admin. to catch up on and then I intend to make some mince pies to put in the freezer.
On line art class this evening.
Hope op’s and visits go well and everyone finds something to raise a smile today.

Michael12 Mon 31-Oct-22 07:04:57

One thing I forgot to mention as to Bicester they have started to put up the xams decorations in the streets
Mick

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 31-Oct-22 07:07:36

Crikey Mick they’ll be playing Christmas songs in the supermarkets soon then.

brook2704 Mon 31-Oct-22 07:08:33

Good morning everyone from Cambridge where the sky looks grey but I don’t think it’s raining
We had a lovely day out with the DGC yesterday at a Halloween themed event at Kentwell Hall. Lots of magic and wizardry for us all to enjoy! Today the DGC are back at school but I’ll be helping to get the house decorated for a little Halloween party they’re having this evening
Hoping all goes well for Ash today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Abitbarmy Mon 31-Oct-22 07:16:58

Good morning from a grey but dry North Yorkshire. Definitely thinking of Ash and will be sending the healing vibes. Had my cuddles with the babes yesterday, doing well and putting on weight. The health visitor is keeping a close eye and calling daily which is good. I have concerns about DGd who isn’t eating very well and seems lethargic and pale so they are getting her checked out. Her Mum says it’s down to anxiety with the new babes but I’m worried, hope it’s unfounded. Meeting some old friends in York this afternoon so that’ll distract me for a while and may look for some new shoes. Must get just one decent outfit but hate looking. How I used to enjoy that sort of thing back in the day. Have the best day you can everyone.

cornergran Mon 31-Oct-22 07:23:16

Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset.

Hope it stays dry as we need some fresh air. Perhaps a walk on a quiet beach.

GrandMattie thank you for telling us about Ash, she’ll be in my thoughts today. Hope you’re stronger soon grannyg and a get well soon for all poorly folk.

Hope Monday is kind to us all.

kittylester Mon 31-Oct-22 07:24:12

Good morning all from North Leicestershire. Today would have been my dad's birthday.

Not a lot happening here today - a little bit of washing and some garden planning.

Thinking of Ash.

Urmstongran Mon 31-Oct-22 07:26:54

No Matt, it’s Monday.

Good morning everyone from Málaga where it’s warm but not sunny. I’ve been trying to post for half an hour. The WiFi ‘wheel of misfortune’ has been whirring continuously. Suffice to say things are grand here. I shall read all your posts now. Have a good day all who can.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 31-Oct-22 07:27:38

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. I think it’s a dry day today. As soon as Halloween is over it will be full on Christmas I’m sure.

Sending healing vibes to Ash that the operation goes well. 💐

To our angel grandMattie who cares for everyone 💐

Grandmadinosaur that is a difficult decision to make. So pleased you’ve had a lovely family holiday. X

DH is feeling better this morning and is out of bed. He got up at five last night and managed some scrambled egg. He’s slept well. A quiet day for him today.
I’m hoping to do my zoom yoga this morning but nothing else on. GSs mum want to pick him up herself from school with it being Halloween. The doorstep is ready for the trick or treaters and a pile of sweets by the door. 🎃

Have a good day everyone and special thoughts to those with illness and family stress. 🌻🌻

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 31-Oct-22 07:28:19

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
I had hoped to have my washing hanging out this morning, but it’s stuck in my new washing machine- unable to open the door!!
Gosh GrandMattie you have been busy. Thank you for your updates on Ashcombe. I will be thinking of her.
Today apart from trying to get hold of John Lewis to sort washing machine, I shall be chatting to my school friend, and possibly going into town.
Thinking too of Marydoll hoping you are resting and not in pain.
Have the best day possible folks

luluaugust Mon 31-Oct-22 07:29:32

Good morning all from a soon to be sunny W Kent. Up and out very early for us as we are collecting GC for the day. They are a bit grown up for childminding so we shall probably take them out to lunch.
Very best wishes to Ash for today
Peaceful day to all

Pittcity Mon 31-Oct-22 07:32:01

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Mild and dry forecast. A few degrees cooler than the weekend.
Nothing planned apart from a supermarket shop as we didn't go yesterday.

I have sweets in for trick or treaters but only open the door before 8pm to the little ones. I take down the welcome sign!

Everything crossed for Ash and sending love and hugs to all 🦩 x

Susan56 Mon 31-Oct-22 07:32:54
