I'm sure I'm alone in this, but I never found many of the old school comedians particularly funny, Morecombe and Wise, Tommy Cooper, perfectly inoffensive but just about raised a faint smile for me. Dare I say it the two Ronnies, sometimes a bit sexist!, my mum liked them I remember watching the "forkhandle/four candles" sketch, yes I'll admit that and some of their other stuff made me laugh. Comedy really began for me with Monty Python, I like satire and a sense of the ridiculous, my kids got me into "Mighty Boosh" a few years ago and hell now Noel Fielding is doing Bakeoff
Lots of the current crop of comics I find funny almost too numerous to mention.
