Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark here in brackley but its dry to start the day.
Its the usual for me today , i will get the bus to Bicester and do my routine there .
One thing I have noticed because there had not been any night frosts or very low temperatures some tress are not shedding there leaves as fast as others , the climate is either getting Wamer in the UK for the time of the year .
Take Care,
Mick

👋 multicolouredswapshop. Good to see you back and may life continue to improve for you both.
Stay under the duvet Gala: that wind’s blooming cold, having returned with a vengeance!
Loving the soap flowers Ashcombe. They’re beautiful.

Those soap flowers look lovely Ash - I’ve looked them up and plan to send some to my S-in-L for her January birthday.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. I’m still holding out with the ch but will put it on later as DD is arriving from the south. I’m so looking forward to it, it’s been a while since I have seen her and I’m going to do some actual cooking for a change, a chicken casserole, so I can use up the bits and bobs from the freezer.

What a palaver for my contact lenses! Months waiting for them. The optician told me yesterday it’s due to Covid, the drivers left and didn’t return..fixed up now however.
Unusual but lovely gift Ashcombe. Hard going grandMattie, cheers Multicolour and thoughts to anyone with troubles💐
Pic of a couple of soldiers from my recent trip to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester 😁

9 loads of washing. 4 for a week’s worth of clothes, 5 for bedding and towels for 3 people…

Same here gm my shoulders were jumping up and down in the hair salon on Tuesday. I was trying to laugh quietly while my hair was in foils. I was wiping my eyes as I had tears of laughter! I looked up in the mirror ‘to calm myself’ and saw my mascara had run and I had panda-eyes! I popped the Kindle into my bag, giggling inwardly, to read later. I have an hour left which I’m saving for on the plane journey home tomorrow! Note to self: No Mascara.

*urms*, I read “lessons in Chemistry “ recently and it is now one of my fav books. I rarely laugh out loud but did so frequently. Recommended it to every in sight!

Oops! Used wrong quote hehe!

Good Morning Mick and everybody from a grey, showery and very windy Carlisle.
Yesterday wasn't too bad after all. After lunch I was out putting my small raised bed in place and starting to fill it with a mixture of the original clay, grit and soil improver. Hopefully the new shrub will like it.
Today I shall potter at little jobs that need doing. The afternoon will not be so pleasant, I am off to the dentist, in theory to have my crown put back. It's an old one so I think the outcome will be that it can't be done and I can't have root canal treatment for a new one. This has happened before with another one, my root canals were calcified so a one tooth denture was necessary. I chickened out of an offer of an expensive specialist dentist attempting to drill out the calcification, especially as success wasn't guaranteed.

mcss nice to hear from you, good luck to you both.

A lovely gift Ash, I find it hard to believe that's soap!

Have a positive day all.

Good morning all from drizzly Harrogate
DDand DH have just gone out in the car for a walk - sounds a bit Greek!! I await my Sainsburies delivery which is supposed to be half an hour earlier than normal but is very nearly late!! Mind you the road works around here are horrific.
Sorry you are having such a bad time Marydoll
Ash those soap flowers are beautiful, but don’t do what I did with mine! I left it it so long it turned grey and just crumbled. So do use them before they get to that stage.
Glad you’ve given your DL a date, but I know too you will not let her be homeless (just don’t tell her that).
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning everyone from a breezy , but dry so far , Co Armagh
Yesterdays club was lovely , we have tea/coffee and biscuits first then our local “Bird Man “ showed us slides and spoke so knowledgeably , a peaceful and restful morning
Some one stopped me in the corridor to ask who I was , I was slightly surprised, she has recently joined so I suppose I should have spoken to her sooner , turns out she knew me from when I was working , but I didn’t recognise her ! Oh dear !
Mind you I am retired 25 years !
Painting class tomorrow , I must look carefully at my classmates in case I should know them !

Hollysteers love that photo! Was there any mention of Osbert Lancaster? They look to be the work of his hand!

Morning all.
I read a thread about strange place names and saw georgesgran mention Pity Me. I spent 4 (mostly) happy years at the technical college there in the 60’s. I guess we live in the same neck of the woods.
Very windy and damp here but luckily the rain held off till I walked dgd to school.
Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cool and damp in my corner of Lancashire.

I had a very disturbed night with some strange dreams. I eventually fell into a fitful sleep around 5am, only to be awakened by the alarm clock at 6:30am to take the first of my meds. Mr. B fetched me a cup of tea at 8am, so I took my second lot of meds, drank my tea and fell straight back to sleep. I then had a very vivid dream about a shopping trip with my late mother, something we used to enjoy so much. It’s 26 years since she died, not any significant date today so don’t know what triggered it. I still miss her so much, I think I always will. I awoke at 10am, fuzzy headed and sleepy, only just coming to now.

I haven’t read your posts yet, will do so now.

This afternoon will be my usual routine of housework, physio, cycling and Gaelic studies. After that I’ll probably need a nap 💤 grin

Have a good day all 🌞

You are right Greyduster
, it does look like something he might have done.
I didn’t see the info, my back was killing me after tramping around so much…
