Good morning from a wild, wet and windy Torbay!

We’ve had what amounts to a lie-in for us, with sleeping until 6.00 a.m. when we’ve routinely been having TIB any time from 4.00a.m. Certainly that was my best night since being in hospital! Poor DH has to make the hot drinks until I’m allowed to lift the weight of a kettle, once my chest has fully healed. Finding the travel kettle would be a good idea!

A later bedtime has made a difference. DH was a Front of House steward last night for our latest production: Ladies’ Day, which was well received. I was glad he could enjoy a break from his caring duties whilst I had a catch up call with a lovely friend from my Staffordshire days, with whom I appeared on stage many times back in the day.

It’s good that your procedure could be happening soon, Mick. I feel your pain with unreliable cleaners, grandMattie. Extra work you could well do without. What a good idea to offer friends presents before you move. I’m sure “Carlos” will be appreciated. Do take care of yourself.

Best wishes to all who have problems - brighter skies will follow. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning and it is raining in s somerset

I made a very warm long dressing gown yesterday, wool, long zip, hood. Cozy. Bit heavy but I wanted soft coating wool. I could not settle downstairs afterwards so spent an hour cleaning and my sewing room is now pristine and machines covered, oiled and spotless

I need to do some general house cleaning today, dusting, pottering, with knitting interludes. Maybe make date and walnut cakes to slice and freeze. Cheerful music will be on

Good morning from a dark, but as yet, still dry E Kent.
All the best for your tests today, Mick.
I was very annoyed yesterday as the cleaner didn’t come again. I had been expecting her on Thursday, or yesterday. She hasn’t replied to my texts. I wonder if she has dropped/ghosted me. The upshot was that I did the cleaning. Now, I haven’t vacuumed for over 20 years as DH decided it was his job, I don’t even really know how this new vacuum cleaner works. It’s hard work, isn’t it? I ended with a really painful back - but the house needed it.
In the afternoon, DL was taken to her consultant in Ashford; I met my lovely tai chi friend. I took the opportunity of giving her “Carlos”, the bronze heron. I shan’t be taking him with me and DD doesn’t want him. She is delighted.
T’ai chi this morning and supermarket this afternoon, although I shall need a nap as I’ve been awake since 0330.
Hope the poorly improve and/or manage to rest (*Marydoll*?) and everyone has a gentle day. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , wet and windy here in brackley this morning.
I will do my usual trip to Bicester this morning, as I have now got to do a blood test at my local surgery tomorrow which suits me , it will be interesting to see when they at the Churchill in Oxford decide to do the surgery on me as it could be a day one ,and depending on how I recover when its done , released on the day or kept in for one night when?
Take Care,
Mick
