Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cold and foggy in my corner of Lancashire. Currently 4°C.

Shame you’ve had to cancel your plans Ashcombe but you must take things easy for a while.

How lovely to hear from you Amselerin.

Sorry for your loss Greyduster.

Happy Birthday to all the grandchildren celebrating today.

Have a good day all, sending best wishes and healing thoughts to all who are under the weather 🌻

Good to see you Anselirin Thank you for your congratulations to dgs2. He's a happy wee boy and managed to open his present (a fisher price bus) but preferred playing with the wrapping paper. It is also my son's birthday today but sadly he has chosen to cut off his family this entire year so today is bitter sweet for me. I can share that here but would never say to dd. I wouldn't spoil her delight in dgs2s birthday.

An extremely late good morning from a still wet Durham - it’s quite depressing. It faired up for a few hours yesterday afternoon and produced a magnificent sunset for all of 10 minutes.
I need to crank up the computer and order quite a bit from Amazon, now that I’ve been given a fighting chance of buying what has been requested.
Despite not using my central heating much, nor on the timer, I was surprised to see that my monthly direct debit did not cover my usage, so my credit has come into play already.
I hope those struggling with health issues have a better weekend and can take it easy.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a sunny day here in Greater Manchester. I'm usually awake very late and miss the morning slot because I struggle getting to sleep at a decent hour.
I love reading all the busyness going on as I don't get out much. My choice because of mobility problems.
I was so glad to see the post from Amselerin as I often thought of her when reading about the early morning trains from Urms. I'd like to thank the latter as well for the reminder of where we can take my grandsons next week. The garden centre you mentioned yesterday is about 15 minutes away from us. You would pass our house on the way there. I wanted to wave to you yesterday grin.
I'm very excited that my son and the boys are here for a few days next week from Portugal.
Hoping everyone has a good a day as possible. thanks

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy the Good Morning thread. It’s lovely each day to ‘pop into the cafe’ for a catch up. I always look forward to hearing what everyone is doing with their day. Thank you smile

Moth this thread is lovely to wake up to, and "somebody to chat to" first thing - I love starting my day with it. Lovely to see you back Amselerin. And that brief sunset, Georgesgran, was beautiful - more sun than we've seen here for more than two weeks now!

Good afternoon from Glasgow. I didn’t waken until 11.00!
Possibly a combination of a very busy week plus boosters last night, I was wiped out. Both of us having boosters last night now passes as a night out for us. How times have changed.

Sorry to read of your sad news Grey A very upsetting year for you indeed. 💐such major changes in life are so hard to deal with. Look after yourself.
Lovely to hear from you again amselerin

Scripts to collect for both of us then the day is my own to fouter about.

Best wishes to all for a pleasant day.
