It is a joy to visit and seek a quiet corner - I wish you all the very best for 2023, the best of health and happiness and a virtual hug for those for whom life is not the greatest at this time.

Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people! I'm popping in to wish you
"All the best when it comes!", the traditional New Year greeting in these parts. Also, to thank Soop and each and every one of you for the friendship and support which is always available in this very special Kitchen. 💕💕💕
We had a lovely family afternoon with DSs 2 and 3, lovely partners and wee DGS2. DS1, DDIL1 and family are away for New Year. We had an enormous Hogmanay meal, all home made, lentil soup, steak pie and trifle, as everyone now likes to be in their own home for the Bells and New Year's Day. The days of first footin' are memories now...Wee DGS2 fair enjoyed his sausages from the steak pie, and wishing us all Happy New Year!

Feet up on the sofa now, blessings to be counted. All the very best for 2023.

‘Evening All ‘

Sat here at 9pm in my pj’s full of food (goulash, home made, so not so #lazygran ha!).

We’ve been over to my stepfather’s this affy. We enjoyed some Speyside malt whisky with him He says he feels ‘weary’. At 90y I’m sure that’s allowed, but I’m keeping an eye on the situation this weekend, as you would. He never complains which puts me on high alert. I’ll see how he goes over the weekend.

Hope any Kitchener revellers out and about are having a fabulous time!

Another here who would just like to acknowledge and appreciate the soops. You’ve had a rollercoaster year dear people.

I’d like to take this opportunity personally to wish you both and all your followers in ‘The Kitchen’ every good wish for 2023. This is a special and inclusive haven and we are all the better for having it.

Happy New Year for 2023 to the kitchen dwellers, and especially soop. There were very loud fireworks in my village last night. Milo and Ripley slept on my bed all night. They didn’t venture forth until I got up at 8 am.
