What a strange sense of humour 🙄

J52 Fri 16-Dec-22 13:23:37

Just as well no one was seriously hurt, from the affects.

MiniMoon Fri 16-Dec-22 13:23:41

You wouldn't think it so funny if it was happening to you CountessFosco.
My son once had visual hallucinations with a high temperature. It was scary.

Marydoll Fri 16-Dec-22 13:27:03

Not funny at all, for those who experienced it.

nadateturbe Fri 16-Dec-22 13:35:22

Perhaps you can explain what you found funny.

CountessFosco Fri 16-Dec-22 13:35:57

The headline - it sounds frankly ridiculous. No offence intended.

nadateturbe Fri 16-Dec-22 13:37:55

Toxic spinach funny? Okay .....

pascal30 Fri 16-Dec-22 13:48:15

weird humour

Chestnut Fri 16-Dec-22 13:49:34

I'm another who can't see anything remotely funny in people being poisoned and suffering. Maybe think before posting as that is just weird. 😟

MawtheMerrier Fri 16-Dec-22 18:17:42

Nine people have needed medical care after eating the Riviera Farms baby spinach from Costco

What is remotely funny about people needing medical care after eating toxic food?
And as for falling off your chair. ….

Thanks for the link, CountessFosco.

It is quite frightening.

I have sent the link to my Australian relatives as a warning.
A lot of people might eat raw spinach in salad at this time of year.

avitorl Fri 16-Dec-22 19:13:16

If you fell off your seat had you already eaten some of it?

ExDancer Fri 16-Dec-22 19:30:32

Please explain why it was funny - I could do with a good laugh!

Can’t see any humour in that CountessFossco.

Caleo Sat 17-Dec-22 00:01:23

Has anyone ever experienced pleasant hallucinations?

FannyCornforth Sat 17-Dec-22 04:52:41

What a bizarre reaction.
This is one of the oddest threads that I’ve ever seen on here…

Hetty58 Sat 17-Dec-22 07:53:08

Just sad! Is there a prize for the 'Best post to go down like a lead balloon'?

HowVeryDareYou Sat 17-Dec-22 08:58:20

How strange to find it funny.....

I've neer found anything so funny that I fell off a chair (or rolled around on the floor)

Callistemon21 Sat 17-Dec-22 10:06:19

Caleo

Has anyone ever experienced pleasant hallucinations?

Oh, I expect so.

I did show a visiting Australian and she asked if a rogue worker had laced the spinach with LSD!

1summer Sat 17-Dec-22 10:11:13

Why is this funny?

Farzanah Sat 17-Dec-22 10:16:33

I think it’s a delayed April Fool.

Baggs Sat 17-Dec-22 10:24:23

What is the medical care for hallucinations?

It's quite an interesting phenomenon, this toxic spinach, especially as no-one seems to know what has caused it and why only Sydney Costco was affected. I'm wondering if some fungus in the growing medium has caused it, or if it was contaminated deliberately after harvesting.

Whatever the cause, there should be an investigation by toxicologists.

FannyCornforth Sat 17-Dec-22 10:26:26

I’ve started a thread about hallucinations, if anyone is interested.

CountessFosco, I think that its one for you to avoid.
You could do yourself a mischief
