I was stalked by a neighbour who had this. He used to appear at the window and peer in . It was because of his meds.He had delusions that his family were imposters. It got quite scary.

So sorry to hear this. My sons Mother in Law was diagnosed a couple of years ago. She is only my age. Mums partner died with it a few years ago, it is a truly awful disease.

Oh that is rubbish, lucky! I too remember the awful time you had with dh. Not all instances are the same though.

My sister in law is currently undergoing tests too. Her husband, my brother, seems to have dementia too.

Life is a bitch sometimes!!

My aunt had Parkinson's, it is a dreadful disease.

My poor OH became delusional too. Life became very hard. I just hope that my DB does not go the same way. Our Mum had Lewy Body Disease which was first diagnosed as Parkinsons. They are akin.

Oh I remember the awful time you had Luckygirl , the delusion is so difficult , Jim died with it , not of it , but he had a hard time too

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this. My neighbour is at the end stage of a traumatic illness and my SIL has just been diagnosed. I think i hate this disease even more than alzheimers whichhas also struck several relatives.

Such sad news Luckygirl3, I'm so sorry to hear that.

How awful. My nephew has it, too. A friend told me the other day though that a friend of his has MND. When he saw him a while back he was in a wheelchair but saw him recently and he was walking and talking almost normally because he’s on a new drug. Let’s all hope that we are close to finding treatment for these awful diseases.

Thank you for your kind words. My tiny village has had 7 cases over the last 15 years and 2 more new in the last couple of years. It is like an epidemic.

So sorry to hear this Luckygirl I too remember your struggle. I have a friend with it and I admire how she is coping. She can still hit a ball at the golf course. All cases are different and there are new medications.

We seem to have an epidemic of MND in our village - 3 people who live next door to each other as well as others.

Another evil disease.

PD is known to be a disease of rural areas. There has to be a link with something .... ?pesticides/herbicides. MND was associated with sheep dip, but I think the formula has been changed now.

That's interesting - lucky. The 3 people with MND live near pylons!

I have noticed that MND seems to be prevalent in super fit men.
