I wish I could iron because I love that job as well as how good my cotton t-shirts used to look. A whip-shake is just not good enough.
I don't use cotton table napkins or loose tea (can't get it in decaf) but I do all the other stuff.
I don't see it as old fashioned, just common sense.
Like putting coffee grounds on roses and Epsom salts on my tomato plants.
Hospital corners for sheets; washing all the receptacles which go into recycling and keeping jars to fill with chutneys, pickles or lemon curd.
Having scrap paper (old invoices and letter from the tax man!) by the phone and throwing away, immediately any pen which won't write, instead of putting it back into the chipped, but still beautiful mug where pens live.
Hand making bread; scraping every possible last scrap from a mixing bowl.
Scraping butter paper then using the paper to grease the loaf pans.
Am I mad do you think?
