Keeping warm

I wear an oversized t-shirt with just a pair of Bridget Jones pants topped with a 10.5 duvet the cover is teddy fleece as is the fitted bottom sheet I bought these last year and they keep me cosy all night so much so that I bought 2 x extra sets.

Pair of PJs kept for overnights away from home.

Fleecy pyjama top and pants, hot water bottle (that I kick away after about 5 minutes), duvet, blanket and, just recently, my oodie thrown on top. However, I keep the window open and no heating on in the bedroom as my tortoise is hibernating in the wardrobe!

Lakeland long-sleeved cotton nightdress, 13.5 goose down and feather duvet and an electric blanket.

Occasionally, if I am not sleeping and go into the spare bedroom: no electric blanket and radiator turned down to '1', I will add a dressing gown.

No heating in the bedrooms at night.

Like Ginny, I have neither dog nor spouse.
Long sleeved pyjamas, 4.5 tog duvet and crochet bedspread on top. Hottie to warm my feet when I get into bed.

T-shirt and big knickers as I also get tangled up with PJ’s . A light weight wool duvet that’s really cosy but doesn’t make you sweat .I take a hot water bottle to bed as sleeping alone since DH died, I need something to snuggle up to . The room is fairly cool .

Long sleeve cotton t shirt (I bought 7 so clean one each night) and knickers. Have flannelette fitted sheet and 15 tog Duvet. Dogs sleep downstairs in the kitchen. Couldn't sleep with them unless dog was very very ill. Did sleep with a puppy that had pneumonia many years ago. She recovered tg.

Wow! I'm another wimp here. No heating on through the night so I wear .... Wait for it .... Socks, sleeveless vest, Fleecy PJ's, sometimes a dressing gown over that. A hot water bottle, two, yes two duvets and sometimes I will still put a fleecy blanket over my shoulders. Then 'sometimes' in the middle of the night, half of it comes off as I'm too warm.
My bedroom is in the attic, old house too. So not much insulation.
Now in summer it's too warm! Can't win.

10.5 tog duvet, long cotton jersey nightshirt, very warm DH, and an electric blanket to warm up my side of the bed before I get in. The heating is set to come on overnight if the indoor temperature drops below 14° but so far it hasn't (we're close to sea level in the West Country.) I do notice if DH gets up early, though!

Sleeveless silky nightie. I slip a cardigan on over it to read in bed then take it off to sleep. 13.5 tog duvet in the winter 4.5 tog spring/summer but same nightwear all year. I have a light throw on top of duvet to keep the cat fur of the bedding , my gorgeous cat sleeps with me . I have a thick long white company towelling dressing gown to wear when I get up to make morning tea . Much more likely to be hot than cold

10.5 duvet with fleecy throw on top, fleecy pyjamas, fleecy socks, electric blanket and if I wake up with cold feet I just wriggle around until I locate the Jack Russell. 😂

Cotton pjs (long sleeved), bedsocks which get kicked off in the night, a winter duvet, a fleece blanket and a quilt. Sometimes a weighted blanket too. I have an electric underblanket which sometimes goes on for a while with me in the bed, but more usually just warms the bed and my pjs whilst I'm in the bath then goes off.

The room is cold though - I like a warm bed in a cool room, and at this time of the year it is chilly rather than cool. There are two outside walls and I go to bed late, so the heating's been off for ages when I get there.

Yes, that is completely honest. The throws are only across the bottom half of the bed.

I’m surprised to see most people manage with one duvet. I must feel the cold more than most!

Soft cotton long sleeved nightdress, bed socks (or I get leg /toe cramps) and a 12.5 tog duvet in winter with an extra layer across the bottom half of the bed - a fleece-backed fake fur throw.
It’s the only way to ensure a comfy night’s sleep 💤

Naked as the day I was born under a 10.5 tog duvet.

cotton nightie with long sleeves, landsend supima as it is so soft. Home made woollen socks which ensure a good nights sleep

Wool duvet, just medium weight so a welsh wool blanket on top and right now when nights are very cold, a lightweight home made crocheted wool blanket

I have an electric blanket on my bed under the wool mattress cover but have not needed it much

A short cotton nightie with short sleeves. A 15 tog duvet and a hot water bottle. Most nights I am shivering with cold until I settle under the duvet to go to sleep.

Thank you so much Farzanah. My dogs have always slept happily in the big utility where they’re fed and go to if small children or unknown people arrive. I’ve been tempted to encourage them upstairs because it’s cold enough fir a three dog )on the bed ) winter. I’ve avoided this because when friends or grandchildren stay, I really don’t think having dogs wandering between bedrooms is acceptable

That is so sad and hard to get used to Iam. I find it difficult to sleep one night on my own.

Pj's and bedsocks, 4.5 tog duvet most nights. I have a fleece throw for cold nights - used it last two nights for the first time this year.

I’m new to sleeping without my lovely mr i who was always toastie so - new winter weight duvet, new gorgeous warm topper from John Lewis on to of duvet and best of all, electric blanket to heat before I get in. I’m wearing a big t shirt tho till now never wore anything in bed

4.5 tog duvet and long fleecey nighty, so fairly warm. Would be warmer still with two hot fellas either side of me.
