Keeping warm

I’ve slept naked for as long as I can remember, I think my duvet is a 13.5 but if it gets really cold I take the single one from upstairs and put on top then I’m nice and cosy. In a double bed on my own…

Hate pjs, had too many bouts of UTIs! Always wear a full length nightdress. No heating in bedroom overnight, apart from a fan heater during bed prep. ? 14.5 tog duvet, with fleece blanket over. Most nights I also wear a wool cardigan… sometimes in the worst cold I also wear a dressing gown. Always been cold. No partner or animal, just books and fingerless mitts!

Usually just a tee shirt and pants for me, but the past few weeks it is a thick pyjamas, bed socks and a sort of fleecy coverall thing from M&S that DD bought me for my birthday about which I thought Hmm!🤔 but guess what? It is my new best friend. All this with under a thirteen tog quilt. Nesh? Me? Nah!!

We don’t have the heating on over night it’s too noisy. We sleep in separate bedrooms these days for practicalities. I sleep on my own and now I wear lovely fleece pjs in winter and bed socks electric blanket is on until I go to bed. I do have 13.5 tog duvet but since I bought teddy duvet covers 10.5 tog is warm enough.

When I wake up my legs and feet are usually on top of the Duvet, still toasty though.

Long cotton nighty or nightshirt, wool duvet, fleece blanket plus a light quilted throw. No hot water bottles unless I’m ill.
Heating is turned right down in the bedroom and the window opened a crack. I sometimes wear pyjamas but usually only in the summer.

Cotton jersey nightshirt and pj trousers, fluffy socks and an old cardigan. 10.5 duvet with fleecy throw on top. Wheat bag, which now gets reheated while I pay 3am visit to loo. Warm bed in a cool room.
I remember there was a band in the seventies called ' 3 dog night'. Sadly, we don't even have one dog.

Goodness! I have always felt the cold and even in summer am usually wearing jackets! I go to bed with as many layers as I can, a duck feather heavy duvet and a hot water bottle🥶

Long brushed cotton nightdress, no knickers, like to be ventilated…dressing gown (discarded when warm), bed socks against cramp, wheat bag, duvet, weighted blanket, fleece throw and during really cold snap, fingerless gloves against cramp and trigger finger when reading.

A crop top to anchor the boobs, a vest over that, long sleeved, knee-length, cotton jersey night dress over the top, leggings, socks. 10.5 tog, king size duvet on my 4'6" divan (the overhang cuts out draughts), a blanket over that and a springer spaniel on top. I also take two wheaty bags with me. Sometimes I have to kick the socks off.... I sleep alone if you don't count the dog 😀

We have a heated under blanket - I have my half at the lowest setting and switch it off as soon as I get into bed, and husband uses the top setting and leaves it to switch itself off, once he is asleep. We don’t have heating in the bedroom overnight, so it can get quite cold overnight as the house is old and our bedroom in the eaves ( so cannot be insulated) I use pyjamas in the winter-long sleeves with a cowl neck to keep my neck warm, and if really chilly a fleece hat. Our Duvet is a 10.5 tog but in very cold weather husband tends to wrap himself up in it - leaving me uncovered so I have a oversized fleece hoody to don if I wake up chilly.

Not a lot. No heating either. But we do have an extra duvet on the bed in Winter (I’ve no idea what tog either is).

I do have a good selection of nighties and pyjamas, even Christmas themed ones, for when we go away or have grandchildren staying. I always feel uncomfortable in them, but would hate to traumatise any hosts or guests!

2 pairs of socks,I have reynauds,long sleeves nightie,10.5 duvet,flanalette sheets top and bottom and a fleece over blanket.Window has to be open though.

T shirt and woolly socks, I suffer from the cold. During the day I have thermal leggings, trousers, 2 pairs of socks and 2 layers on top with a big hoodie. Still cold 🥶 😩

Although I do feel the cold I cannot stand much weight of bedding. I wear knickers and short nightdress and a 4.5 duvet over me. There is no heating in the bedroom but I have an electric under blanket which is kept on at the lowest heat.
Having had spinal problems all my life and managed to get an electric blanket before they were available to the unlicensed.

I wear a t-shirt and knickers - but I preheat the bed and leave the foot end on low all night. I, too, have trouble turning over with my bad back. I like shiny satin sheets (to make movement easier), my weighted blanket - and a second blanket or summer duvet on top. In this freezing weather, I use both.

My small dog makes a good (if somewhat itchy) back warmer. Next to the bed, though, are fleecy PJ bottoms, warm socks slipper boots and a dressing gown - all to be put on before venturing far. What a rigmarole, just to nip to the loo!

I inherited mums goose down quilt, and, with a hottie, I sleep better with the window open! My old man really feels the cold, so has multiple layers.

Nice warm duvet . What else does one need.

I certainly won’t be opening the window when it’s minus 3 centigrade or below.
