When we sort of retired my DH didn't want to ever go away again because he said he now had everything on our doorstep ..... beaches, countryside, dogs etc. He refused to even discuss it, so I just nodded and bided my time. Three years later he got back his get up and go, and we are now back to 3 European holidays a year plus 2 in Cornwall. I think all the travel programmes I ran past him on TV made him think there was still a world out there to discover!! Trouble is, he got so enthusiastic he even decided to return to work part time too!
I guess it depends what your DH was like before, and whether you feel you can subtly work on him without nagging!
