Good morning from Durham. It’s wild and windy here today. The bl**dy car is back in the garage today to see if the warning light is merely a faulty sensor - everything crossed!
A friend is meeting me at the garage, then we are going for coffee before she drops me off at home and goes off for her usual afternoon of child minding.
gM I am in awe of your ability to get things done in record time - I hope it all goes through without a hitch.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s wet with grey clouds above us. We have nothing planned other than a trip over to stepfather’s en route to M&S. He said yesterday he’d like another small jar of their whisky marmalade with his shopping - I’m in mind to get one myself now!

Good morning from Suffolk where the sun is shining somewhat weakly. Yesterday was very sunny and windy… an ideal day for drying a load of bedding,which didn’t need ironing…hurrah …and towels.

Hope your house hunting,Grand Mattie, is fruitful and you find somewhere to live which meets all your needs. Our eldest and family live in Bristol and I’ve always thought it must be a lovely city to live in.

Out for a dog walk later and then must take my car to be cleaned by team of hard working young men on the outskirts of a local town.

Hope all have a pleasant days and those with worries find some solace.

I used a cheap leafblower/vacuum yesterday for the first time. I enjoyed using it and now the patio looks much better. Gardening next but only on a sunny day as I need to be called out at this time of year. Maybe today, who knows.

Today I'm off to get my haircut and have a quick lunch and catch-up with my niece - always lovely to see her. I was only 14 when she was born, and carried her at her christening, so she's special to me. Lots of lovely memories - plus she's provided me with four great-great-nieces and nephews!

Good morning from a very windy NE yet again.
Spent the entire day sorting paperwork and still a long way to go, why did he keep mobile phone bills from 2000 ?
More of the same today, boring but I can't do housework with my bad back.
Had a phone call from a friend where we used to live in Cumbria, she rings me every couple of weeks and keeps me up to date with what is going on. She lives in a ground floor flat and has a mould problem which can't be rectified until someone identifies the source of it. I feel for her as she has arthritis and a permanent cough now which I believe is the mould spores.
Pleased your buyers upped their offer grandMattie and yes we all lived through the high interest rates, when we bought this house in 1971 it was 15%.

Good morning everyone from a grey and overcast Northampton, 7° outside,.but sunny spells forecast later.

I managed to sort out the mysterious appearance of post on Sunday; I saw our postman yesterday and he confirmed that they are doing the occasional Sunday delivery. Who knew?

Yoga was a bit of a struggle yesterday, but worth going - it's good company, and I can adapt some of the moves.

Got into town yesterday afternoon, paid in my refund cheque from the holiday company, so will be paying my credit card off with that this week. Then had a mooch around the few shops we have left in town, and had a lovely coffee.

Made a huge quantity of chicken stew in the pressure cooker when I got home, enough for three meals, so I shall look like a chicken by the end of the week!

Health walk this afternoon, but before that I need to change the bed, do some washing and run the Shark over downstairs.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a windy bright Hull.
Had an hour walk yesterday in the sunshine it was lovely I didn’t have my coat fastened up it felt warm, mind you I was walking at at pace.
Tonight we are looking after DGDs as usual and Grandmabatty I have my repertoire of singing to sleep songs usually starting with Hush little baby and ending with ABBA’s Thankyou for the music with many inbetween. 😂
Whitewavemark the time with GC is such a joy but you are right it goes so fast.

GrandMattie I’m pleased you have a firm offer you are happy with and hope the next 12 weeks go smoothly.

Good news gMattie, now for the next stage.
MrJ and his infected cyst have 2 further appointments this week at the surgery, at yesterdays it was photographed again and redressed with a seaweed dressing. Apparently its progress is ‘news of the day’ amongst the medics, I think he’d rather not have it.
More washing to do and I didn’t get to the farm shop yesterday, so that’s a to do.

Yesterday was a pleasant day weatherwise so, having seen today's forecast, I went out in the garden before lunch and planted my tree. It looks more impressive than its predecessor which made little effort last year. It's my next job as I'm giving it a second chance and will go amongst the shrubs in the back. I also started pruning the roses, a task once done in March. No longer as they are sprouting now.
Today is laundry and housework followed by admin.

Having rumbled about intrusive and inappropriate videos on here, I note that GN have taken some notice. Still getting intrusive videos but now they feature older ladies! Don't know what they're on about though as they are mouthing silently.

The 7yr old went to bed with a headache last night and has woken up with it still, so he is now ensconced in our children’s bedroom with his blanket and dozing .

Looking on the bright side, I can carry on with some craft work. Working with copper wire is fiddly but satisfying.

If you want a really good “feel good” film may I recommend a film that was on BBC 4 on Saturday: its a Finnish film but in English and has a lovely light touch and happy ending
