Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry and looks a little milder to what it has been like most mornings early this past few weeks in brackley .
Plans I have an item from John Lewis to pick from local Waitrose which I will do early.
I plan to bus to Bicester , just to see whether with more walking I am improving , but the weather holds the key if its cold.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from an overcast E Kent. It’s chilly bu, with no wind, it doesn’t feel so bad.
I put a load of washing on last night in preparation for my trip tomorrow. I don’t know what happened, but it hadn’t washed. Grr.
I’ve got to get sorted today for my trip I have agreed to go for a dog walk before leaving - rather silly, but good for me as I’ll be sitting on a train for 5 hours. Need to move.
Finished the other hat for DS1. I hope she likes it - she can always give it away.
Hope that Ash and olddudders had a good journey yesterday and are now safely in Blighty. So glad that MD had a good time, though playing dead is not a good idea 😂.
A new week - pray that it will treat you gently. Carpe diem/horam 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, it’s looking dry here in Wiltshire.
Yesterday my friend’s husband, a professional gardener, came to look at my plans about a new patio. He’s giving me a quote and can do the work 👏👏. Very hopeful that it’ll be done quickly.
Today DDog has her 6 monthly regular vet check so we’ll go for a walk in the huge parkland near the vets for a change.
I need to sort out a small stretch of border sometime, and transfer some plants that are in the way of the proposed new patio.
I have plenty of knitting to get on with as well as finishing my Bargello pincushion which needs assembling. No excuses, not much oomph!

Been awake since 5:15. I can wake up anytime between 5am - 9am. It’s very frustrating. DGD3 aged 4 all day today and DGS2 aged 21 months on Thursday this week. It’s impossible to have them both together as they fight. And it’s not the 4 year old who wins. The other grandparents won’t have them together either.

Tomorrow we are having the £20 M&S Valentine meal deal which is worth the money as the discount was £14 over buying the items individually.

Carpet of snowdrops in the garden and all the bulbs in pots are poking through ready for warmer days ahead, I’ve heard there may be another spell of very cold weather to come though.

Wishing everyone the best day they can have and best wishes to those under the weather or in the sick bay. 🌼🌹🌷🌸

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and dry. I can see air frost on the roofs of the cars. grandmattie I hope your eyes are improving. BlueBalou that's good news about your patio.
Yesterday I pottered about, made soup, ironed and cleared the bed in the front garden of dead material. It looks tidy, if a bit bare in places. It's too early for plants to poke through yet though, apart from Spanish bluebells which are everywhere I don't want them to be!
Today is childcare, hence the early post. As it's a holiday today and tomorrow,I'll have them both all day. I'll play it by ear, but we might go to the park. If not, dgs1 and I will play in the garden when dgs2 goes for a nap. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone from a still dark Northampton, -1° and dry outside. Feels really chilly indoors. Up early because it's yoga class first thing, and then I shall have a 15 minute walk across to the pub for a coffee and Knit and Natter.

Had a quiet day at home yesterday, doing nothing but read the papers and watch tv. It felt a very looong day. Tried on the clothes I bought on Saturday, and they are fine thank goodness; although I might try a size up in the long skirt, which might be a bit more comfortable.

Will do some gentle tidying after this morning's exertions, then carry on with my book club read after lunch, half way through it now.

Hope all have a good Monday.

Morning all from a mild West Oxfordshire. I will be up shortly as the decorators should be here at 8 am. Once they are settled I will do a Waitrose shop. After lunch I am popping over the road for my friend’s craft afternoon. I had a troubling Armageddon type dream! Always troubling. Have a good day.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 13-Feb-23 06:50:41

Good morning from the South Downs. 3c clear and calm.

Housework day today. House is still a muddle but hopefully this week will finally see an end to it all and back to normal.

I’m going to try to finish mulching a bed today as well, before I put on the decorative bark. My effort to counteract any possible drought.

Rib-eye, chips and salad for dinner - something quick because it is a busy day.

Have a productive day everyone.

Urmstongran Mon 13-Feb-23 06:53:00

No Matt.

I’m the same glammagran regards waking up. Once I’m awake I find it difficult to drift back off, so my morning starts are variable.

An early Good morning everyone from south Manchester where naturally it’s pitch black at this ungodly hour. I can’t see any frost and it’s still out there.

I’ve things on my mind. The car needs a new clutch - it keeps slipping so Himself is going to drive it up the road to the garage this morning and see if he can book it in this week sometime. We are going over to see our Yorkshire Lass tomorrow and picking my stepfather up en route. I think that’s why it’s playing on my mind.

Oh the train into Liverpool Lime Street has just pulled in on Platform 2, lit up like a Christmas tree in the dark.

Also, I’ve been taking part as a volunteer in some research project into breast cancer. I had a lengthy questionnaire to fill out and sent a sputum test off months ago for DNA testing. The samples go to France for testing apparently as this is an EU/UK initiative. I get my results on line this morning telling me whether my risk factor is high, average or low and a doctor is ringing me this afternoon to discuss them and any screening plans going forward.

Other than that it’s half term this week for our littlies so doubtless we shall see them at some point today - to take them to their swimming lessons if nothing else!

Have a good Monday all if you can. x

I’m sorry. I forgot to mention how much better my eyes are. I don’t think I’ll need referral to hospital. Thank you all for your concern. ❤️

Grammaretto Mon 13-Feb-23 07:02:03

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Gloomy outside. I have an early dentist appointment so must get up.
A choice this afternoon of something I'd like to do or something I ought to do. Hmm.
I resisted planting anything in the garden yesterday despite the mild weather.
It's February and it's Scotland. No!
Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Mon 13-Feb-23 07:07:20

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire. It's still dark and 4°.

Shopping with DGD4 - spending her birthday money. We will no doubt be paying a visit to Smiggle along with some clothes shops. We will take her for lunch meet up with DD2 and they will set off to Hemel Hempstead and their home. We will come home and collapse.

karmalady Mon 13-Feb-23 07:09:58

Good morning. I think that s somerset will feel spring-like today, with sun

That has made my mind up and I am going out cycling later.

Spinning alpaca in the evening and some knitting. An easy day, I have soups and salad foods in the fridge. I was standing a lot yesterday and did a lot, food prep, batch cooking, washing, window cleaning outside. I do have sewing to finish, would be good to finish that top this afternoon and maybe read in the sun on my sheltered patio

micmc47 Mon 13-Feb-23 07:11:35

Good morning from the hilltop at Windy Nook, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, where at 07.09, the sun is just rising into a clear, pink-tinged blue sky. Walking both Cavapoos is first on the agenda as per, then a relaxed breakfast, and as I'm long retired, no need to join the growing rush hour. Planning a leisurely visit to our local garden centre when it opens at 10 a.m., with a pot of tea and a fresh-baked cheese scone as a mid-morning treat. Enjoy your day, and stay safe and well out there.

Grandmadinosaur Mon 13-Feb-23 07:12:09

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s 4 degrees and will get up to 10 today.

I have a hair appt at the ungodly time of 9. Need to be up and out early. These days I like to potter in my own time in a morning. I’m having the whole works roots, cut and a blow dry. We were due to have the GC this afternoon but I got a text yesterday saying they both have a sickness bug poor mites. Looks like it’s doing the rounds. Checking in the evening DIL has it and DS wasn’t feeling too good either. Not good timing for half term.

Safe journey Ash

Enjoy your day with GSs Grandmabatty I admire your energy.

Have a good day everyone.

dragonfly46 Mon 13-Feb-23 07:23:26

Good morning from a dull miserable Leicestershire.

Pilates this morning then nothing planned.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Pittcity Mon 13-Feb-23 07:26:17

Good morning from a grey, mild and dry Colchester. Grocery shop this morning and waiting for new shed doors to be delivered this afternoon. DH will paint and hang them himself so I expect a lot of swearing over the next few days.
Love to all 🦩 x

Marydoll Mon 13-Feb-23 07:30:56

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, where it is currently 3°C. However, a sunny day is forecast, so the bed will be stripped and washing put out.

I need to phone my GP at 8am, but will probably be 100th in the queue!
I've had a dreadful night and day yesterday, with the side effects from my new meds getting progressively more severe. I'm between a rock and a hard place, as I have been advised not to stop them, without speaking to a doctor first.
For the first time in years, I can see no light at the end of tunnel. I always have hope expect things to settle down.

We have wee Dollie for a couple of hours today, due to it being half term and her mummy having to work.
That should cheer me up.

I noted some of you put your washing on at night, is it cheaper at night? Just curious.
Messages from the Scottish Fire Rescue service keep popping up on my tablet, advising not to, for safety reasons.
The house of a former pupil of mine was destroyed, when the dishwasher went on fire during the night. I've never left an appliance on overnight since. I'm now too scared.

All this talk of gardens is making me envious. I'm desperate to get out and tidy up. My strawberry plants have already come back and I need to deal with my frost damaged hydrangeas.

I will come back later and read all your posts.

GM safe journey tomorrow and Ash, hope you are safely on your way home.

Wishing you all a pleasant day,

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 13-Feb-23 07:41:13

MD - our tumble dryer caught fire years ago! I never put appliances on over night.

Abitbarmy Mon 13-Feb-23 07:46:12

Good morning everyone, I’m still in bed but the weather is set to be cool but dry and quiet. Got a hygienist appointment this morning so must get up, I dread the dentist but must be done. Then housework, bed changed, washing etc. enjoy your day if you can everyone.

Susan56 Mon 13-Feb-23 07:50:28

Good morning from Shropshire.

We had a relaxing day yesterday spent reading my book and catching up on a couple of TV programmes.DH the old romantic went out to post a couple of letters and came back with roses for me and then in the evening made one of my favourite meals❤️

We have childcare every day this week then next week a free week!As it’s not half term for any of the grandchildren it’s not all long days.We will pick H up from nursery at 3.Miss M has a play date after school. Her friends mum will take her to ballet class then drop her home later.

Mary I hope you can speak to a dr.I read last week that Tesco are going to be offering blood pressure tests as people are ‘deprioritising’ their health.I said to DD people are not deprioritising their health, we are probably worrying more than ever as we can’t speak/see a dr and there is no follow up.
I hope you can get some reassurance today💐

Wyllow I hope your procedure went well yesterday💐

Safe travels to all on the move and have the best day you can everyone🦩

brook2704 Mon 13-Feb-23 07:52:05

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve a clear sky so hopefully we’ll see the sun today. I can see from the trees outside that the wind has dropped at last so it might feel a bit warmer
A busy morning as I’m off to the gym for a zumba class and then aqua aerobics, a quick trip to Tesco and then I’ll be home early afternoon.
Hope all ok with your results Urms, such a good thing taking part in research like that
Pleased to hear your eyes are much better gMattie
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from another dull and grey Black Country. At least it is dry!

Monday walk this morning with my group. Then this afternoon I plan to clean the windows and upvc at the front outside. Snowdrops are in abundance in our garden too.

Seems it is half term in many places. Here it will be next week, much to DD's relief!

Welcome to micmc47 lovely to see new people posting.

Wishing you all a lovely day

Beechnut Mon 13-Feb-23 07:54:08

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is dry.

I had a very good time out in the garden for a few hours yesterday ticking off a few jobs on my list. I might carry on today. I have a very rotten tree trunk that needs to be cut down. I shall probably get some help with that. I noticed a few more snowdrops have appeared.

Off to pick up my prescription later and post a card.

Safe journeys to travellers and a good day for all 🌺🦩

NannyJan53 Mon 13-Feb-23 07:54:57
