The heart shape (cordiform) is one of the 32 oldest symbols known.
Up to 40,000 years ago cave paintings around the world, especially Europe used these symbols, possibly as a proto language to convey information.
75% of the 32 symbols (including the cordiform) were used repeatedly in the cave paintings, and more paintings are being found all the time.
