Each day I try to write three things in my gratitude diary that I am truly grateful for, even if down in the dumps or disappointed with something.
What three things would you put in your diary for today?
Mine:-
Went along to music club although tired with a bad back.
Daughter had a big promotion.
Her health scare was unfounded.

Visited a lovely neighbour who has been poorly….she is much better.
DH made tea.
A friend gave me three Bridgerton books….. I never knew there were any !!!!

A cucumber came in the grocery order!
A call to Apple half fixed an issue
The towels dried outside.

Aona

Hi Everyone this is my first post coming up......feeling brave.
1. I am grateful for the ☀. No heat from it, but the light is glorious.
2 My one and only Hellibore is looking delightful. I told her that i thought her beautiful and I'm sure she stood even taller to show off her blooms.
3 I am so grateful for heat pads and hot water bottles, reducing the need for medication. 🌈 Aona

Welcome to Gransnet, Aona, and well done on the first ever post! smile

All I have to offer is that I've finally defrosted the chest freezer, after weeks of putting it off. I now know what's in it and have even made a list.

Oh heck, I've just noticed.....three things! Okay....

I've also taken delivery of a massive Tesco order, so we're all stocked up.
And I've turned a collar, for the first time in my life. It's DH's favourite shirt, so worth the effort.

Nice idea, but nothing today would go in a gratitude diary from me☹️ But a few things would go in a despondent diary.
Will try again another day.

Socialising with am dram friends
A Spring like day!

Washed my car after it passed MOT and was serviced the day before.
Sewed some pot holders for donating to charity shop to sell....hopefully 😊
Long chatty phone call with a friend.

I'm grateful that I finished washing down the outside "furniture", & also for the fact that no-body noticed me doing it wearing my "only fit for the rag-bag" garden clothes!

Also grateful for all the birds I saw happily hopping about on the Spring grass today!

Church was lovely.
One of our daughters came over for lunch.
Emptied some old papers from "need to store" to "dispose".

A better day than yesterday having been very tearful for no apparent reason. Went to town nice walk around coffee, library. Made nice lunch. Now enjoying a wine and watching the sunset whilst planning for tomorrow.

Welcome to Gransnet Aona 💐

I too am so thankful to see spring flowers bursting through in the garden,
Grateful to have a garden,
Grateful to continue being able to get out in it and cultivate it - long may it last 🙏

Enjoyed taking the bus into town rather than driving.
Accordion music there in the sun.
Really enjoying “Portrait of Clare” by almost forgotten writer, Francis Brett Young.

Managed to get tickets for my daughter's favourite band (Blur), with support act of Paul Weller.
The delight from my daughter when I told her.
Finally did two tasks that I had been putting off.

Another swim and a better one than the last one.
I have the latest Ellie Griffiths to start tonight
Picked up a floor standing reading lamp from John Lewis today, I'd been meaning to get one for ages.

Oh just seen we have a first time poster welcome Aona

kittylester Thu 23-Feb-23 18:05:10

We got £40 worth of JL vouchers through the post and and money off vouchers from Lakeland.

Bertie enjoyed buying his new clothes and a football. He then ate all his lunch and half mine. He is one of my favourite grandsons.

We are sitting down, watching the news, with a nice chilled drink.

Kate1949 Thu 23-Feb-23 18:05:25

The sun was shining as well as the sin sunshine

kittylester Thu 23-Feb-23 18:18:35

The sin sounds like more fun Kate.

I came across some beautiful spring flowers and bought them to take home. I’m smiling as I look at them

Mr C (finally!!) finished his jigsaw. The dining table emerged smile

Definitely have gathered everything I need for Mr C’s birthday on Saturday. Room decorations, table decorations, cakes, food. Phew.

I finished all my cleaning and the house looks good.
I saw my neighbour today and she seems much better.
I’m babysitting at DS house this evening and loving being with the children.

Redhead56 Thu 23-Feb-23 18:54:49

Welcome Aona this is a nice thread.
We drove to our daughter's she lives in Lancashire. We took our little granddaughter to the park for lunch and we fed the ducks.
I finished off a scarf I have knitted then sorted out more woolies for refugees.

ginny Thu 23-Feb-23 19:00:51

DH cooked dinner.

A friend left a few tins of haricot beans on my doorstep when I was out. They seem difficult to get around here.

Smallest DGS saying “ Luv ooo Nana”
as he left our house this morning.
