So long as within GN rules, post what you like!
About whatever subject you like!
No thread police or bossiness or pedantics here! Here's hoping.

I am being a bit tongue in cheek.
But I for one am geuinely interested in hearing what others are thinking.

So go for it on here!
Within GN rules of course.

No idea how the thread will go. But hey ho.
If no one posts, nothing lost.
I will have learnt that this type of thread is not needed.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 12:20:10

That's the same for any thread though. People can try to police in any way they like, it can be completely ignored.

fancythat Wed 22-Feb-23 12:46:48

True

MawtheMerrier Wed 22-Feb-23 12:59:24

Your point is?

Fleurpepper Wed 22-Feb-23 13:01:55

So it is perfectly fine for anyone to say what they think or believe- including that, in their opinion, it would be best to stop posting on any subject, which others can totally ignore of course.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 13:04:42

Yes you are free to say that too, and people are also free to respond by saying they find it really irritating/controlling etc.

MawtheMerrier Wed 22-Feb-23 16:43:45

This is both circular and pointless.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 16:48:34

Its rare that threads dont become circular to be honest.

Fleurpepper Wed 22-Feb-23 17:00:23

Indeed Maw.

Galaxy, how can something be 'controlling' if we all have free choice?

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 17:03:42

I think it feels controlling, in some cases people need to be quite robust to ignore it. I just laugh when it happens but it still feels odd.

MawtheMerrier Wed 22-Feb-23 17:21:04

What exactly was the point of starting this thread?
We have Chat,AIBU, Ask a Gran and a whole list of specialist topics.
Other than starting OP's "own" thread - why?

sodapop Wed 22-Feb-23 17:30:44

Apparently you can't post what you want fancythat I have just been reprimanded on another thread for my post.

Blossoming Wed 22-Feb-23 17:34:01

Just now I’m thinking how nice it is that it’s 5:30pm and I don’t need to switch the light on, the days are getting longer and I love it.

BlueBelle Wed 22-Feb-23 17:37:07

I think it’s fine to have a non constructed thread isn’t that how conversations go anyway They meander and change direction I m presuming it’s just a wandering chat with no real subject
we offer something anyone who wishes adds to it or not as they wish and so on sphere goes ….
Does anyone else have all the intentions in the world to de clutter then see some object that takes their fancy and fills the newly created space right back up 😵‍💫

Blossoming Wed 22-Feb-23 17:45:02

Ha! I found lots of desirable objects when I attempted to declutter! I did quite well with the wardrobe, it’s all those little odds and ends you collect over the years.

fancythat Wed 22-Feb-23 17:52:44

sodapop Anyone post here whatever they fancy.

Bluebelle Blossoming My decluttering - I find things I maybe should have thrown out years ago.
I have managed to get rid of two chest of drawers in the last few months.

I like longer days too. I like Summer best.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 17:55:09

I am terrible but the other way, I just chuck stuff if it's getting on my nerves shock

MrsKen33 Wed 22-Feb-23 18:27:35

I like these….
Low carb pancakes

1 banana
2 tblspoons peanut butter
2 eggs
Mix until reasonably smooth. Treat as batter. …..lovely

Jaxjacky Wed 22-Feb-23 18:30:13

I like Autumn best, I don’t like the very hot summers we’ve had, too humid here, loved them when we lived in France, dry heat.
We’re pretty clutter free, apart from MrJ’s corner, I’m ruthless, if it’s not been used for a year or so, it goes!

fancythat Wed 22-Feb-23 18:30:25

I am so hopeless at making pancakes, that it is one of the few things my husband makes. He took over making them after 1 bad pancake too many!
I will give him the recipe MrsKen33!

GrannyGravy13 Wed 22-Feb-23 18:30:44

Running a bath for 8yr old GS (sleeping over for 2nd night as his brother and Mum (DD) both have a V & D bug) our water pressure appears to be extremely low, our bath is big, I could be here for awhile 🛁

fancythat Wed 22-Feb-23 19:10:13

Feeling for you!

Never come across a bath emoji before.

BlueBelle Wed 22-Feb-23 19:56:44

Oh no I didn’t have any pancakes this year I ll buy a mix tomorrow and have them late
I m still fed up with these three ladies that keep popping up on the thread grrrr

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 22-Feb-23 19:59:27

A mix?

BlueBelle Wed 22-Feb-23 20:16:41

A mix, pancake mix, yes why ?
