Katie Price has had her 16th boob job, she looks ridiculous.
Is it right that any surgeon does this without psychiatric reports?

Fleurpepper Wed 22-Feb-23 15:33:04

Speechless, sheer madness. And yes, surgeons are profiteering from sick people, disgusting.

crazyH Wed 22-Feb-23 15:37:52

I’m surprised her body can take it - I mean, all those operations, all that anaesthetic!
As for the Surgeons, all they see is ££££ signs. My son is one, but he saves lives (Neurosurgeon)

But there again Katie Price is entitled to make her own decisions about her body. I don't agree with what she has done but it's her choice.
( devil's advocate )

Her money would be better spent on counselling.

Joseanne Wed 22-Feb-23 15:47:07

I thought she had declared bankruptcy though?

I've just seen the pictures and really can't understand why anyone would want to do that to themselves.I can only think it's a desperate need for attention. And for money.Very sad,and very troubling that so many naturally pretty and youthful girls disfigure themselves with cosmetic surgery emulating 'celebrities '.

ExperiencedNotOld Wed 22-Feb-23 15:57:24

Perhaps that’s why she’s having work done in Turkey - maybe they’re less likely to say no. I feel pity for her. She’s crashing through live with little caring influence.

THAT is not the question in the OP.

There are maybe millions of people having work done due to an issue with how they see themselves. Over and over again until they turn themselves into a living breathing Jessica Rabbit. I'm not sure at what point they are considered mentally ill, but for some it is obvious. Take the chap known as 'Human Ken' who started off perfecting his body but then decided he was a woman and is now Jessica Alves. You only have to Google that name to see the result. He now wants to have a womb so he can have a baby. I'm not sure how many operations he's had but this cannot end well. And yes, the surgeons who keep treating him are morally guilty but not legally I suppose.

I think she probably has most of her surgery abroad,
I agree for someone who is bankrupt she certainly seems to have plenty of disposable income, she is presently on holiday in Thailand.
I have always wondered were she gets an income from? Surely she isn't still glamour modelling? Does the odd appearance on a talk show pay that well.

Silvergirl Wed 22-Feb-23 16:14:52

No wonder there is a huge waiting list for surgery on the NHS if a great many of the surgeons are using their skills on these frivolous multiple operations. You should be very proud of your son crazyH. A neurosurgeon saved my life.

Umpteen unnecessary surgical procedures presumably means umpteen anaesthetics which isn't something to undertake lightly and could have long term consequences I imagine..

Aside from all that, she was a perfectly acceptable looking woman before she underwent all these breast enlargement ops, now she has turned the female form into a grotesque parody, almost in a similar vein to drag artists who produce an idea of exaggerated femininity that does't ring true, simply because those images are so unnatural. Sadly KP frontage now looks like two huge inflatable boulders that have been strapped on, natural breasts just don't look so rock hard and high up and all that scar tissue, heaven help her shock Maybe she should have cast her eye over that iconic image of the late Raquel Welch in the deer skin bikini to realise how far removed she is from what would be an attractive pin up. I think she is really quite a sad case, mid forties is no great age these days, but overall I think the more people muck about with unnecessary surgery, particularly those weird looking duck lips that seem to be the vogue at the moment, the worse, and quite frankly the older they look.

Chestnut Wed 22-Feb-23 16:24:32

Regarding the OP and psychiatric reports, people could simply travel to another country to have work done, one where they don't require psychiatric reports. It would be possible to have legislation in the UK but I'm not sure how that would help things as it could never be worldwide.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 16:32:34

I dont really know how you police it but some of these surgeons are guilty of harm.
Also Katie price was being leered at in mainstream newspapers as a young teenager, it's not surprising that caused damage.

Chestnut Wed 22-Feb-23 16:32:43

I agree Terribull but don't get me started on drag artists!

The dangers of all this surgery, the anaesthetics, the artificial substances put inside the body, the swelling of skin and tissues, the cutting off of various bits, it would all terrify me! How do you know what you will look like in 20 years time and if it went wrong would you ever be able to get back to looking normal?

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 22-Feb-23 16:33:01

I wonder what her children think, especially her 15 year old daughter.

Palmtree Wed 22-Feb-23 16:33:26

I guess being beautiful has major downsides. You must get used to all eyes turning to look at you as you walk in to a room and it must be very hard when looks begin to fade and you no longer get the same attention anymore. I guess these bizarre operations bring back the the attention for a short while in her eyes. Such a shame and what happened to 'growing old gracefully'. I just wish she would look after her health and think of her beautiful children first. They are thre real blessings in her life.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 16:34:51

You mean her daughter who is not much younger than Katie price was even she was on page 3. We as a society should be ashamed of that.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 22-Feb-23 16:38:22

I have no idea what code of ethics Turkish surgeons are subject to. Perhaps she couldn’t find a British surgeon willing to operate on her. I expect she will carry on like this to the (probably much hastened) end.

crazyH Wed 22-Feb-23 16:42:51

Yes Silvergirl, I am. And I’m really happy that you’re alive and well - hope you continue to enjoy good health .

Quote from Wiki:
At a friend's suggestion, Price had professional photographs taken and decided to pursue a modelling career. The pictures were sent to a modelling agency in London, and in 1996 she appeared, billed as "Jordan", on Page 3 in the British newspaper The Sun.

I'm not sure why you think 'we as a society should be ashamed of that'. We are all free to choose our own career and that is what she did. She was 18 years old so adult enough to make her own decisions.

Galaxy Wed 22-Feb-23 16:51:45

She was 17 as far as I remember when she started, and certainly if you look at the likes of Sam fox she was 16. I find that kind of behaviour towards teenagers creepy.

tickingbird Wed 22-Feb-23 16:58:20

I didn’t think I could be shocked by Katie Price anymore but I have just seen the pictures of her in Thailand and she really does look grotesque. Her poor mum, who’s terminally ill, must despair at what her daughter’s become. Katie is something of a tragedy really and I do wonder what Peter Andre thinks as I believe there was genuine love there once.

Yes, and shameful for those who paid to encourage this, and those who exploited her (and continue to do so). It is weird the perception of mental illness people have and how these perceptions are totally changing from case to case.
